My blade to begin
a swath of destruction.
To carve my resolve
and set my mind, to me
how I see it;
my intentions are fine.
Your choice was grave,
so brutal and brash.
Such a marginal mistake,
you'll never remember the
present or your past.
Meet me in the plains,
we'll end this quickly.
Make haste, I will lock and seal your
fate, otherwise mine shall
be yours to take.
I thrust my blade through
his skull, slaying this hatred
once and for all.
A grim smile graced my face, but I felt
thunder in my heart.
My revenge, what was it for? To avenge
the woman once in my life, but
we are now broken, since
she resides in the afterlife.
I thought about her, that delicate soul,
her precious love and body, were mine
no more.
I looked to see her reflection
in my blade, solemnity not joy was
what she wore to say.
She told me that revenge was needless
and foolish, her soul could move on,
despite my brutal skirmish.
Lovingly bidden me goodbye,
her reflection faded away, bringing me
to this conclusion that day.
"I cannot embrace you with my blade unsheathed nor with
malice and revenge in my heart. It would only bring you pain.
To hold you once again, I shall sheath both blades; for once I
arrive in the afterlife, both our spirits will unite and love another
once again."
