Uchiha Itachi vs. Pein [Manga Spoilers]

Okay the great Itachi Uchiha vs Pein the God with six paths of Pein.

I am curious to see what the outcome will be here.

I stil believe Pain would win , just because we have not seen the full extension of his powers. He might as well be epic enough to solo everyone , given to that his has the Rinnengan.

IF Pain uses only the techniques he used against Jiraiya , then it is possible that Itachi might win.

This is just too obvious in favour of Pein.

- A character that is alive now is far stronger than one who has already died, being the "Leader".
- Itachi basically worked for him. It's like Aizen -> Grimmjow but not such a vast gap.

- Pein defeated Jiraiya. Jiraiya, a Sanin.

- Itachi ran from Jiraiya.


I'm compelled to close this thread but I'll give it another shot.

If there are any more simple one liner answers then it will need to be closed.

We don't know nearly enough about the the Rinnegan to take this thread seriously, but I will say this: The best way to beat an Uchiha is to either 1)outnumber him or 2) attack his blindside. Having 6 bodies puts Pein at an advantage there. He also clearly has more chakra than Itachi, as one MS jutsu weakens Itachi quickly. That's 2 advantages for Pein. Fat Pein can absorb Amaterasu aswell, which makes the fight even more difficult.

Itachi on the otherhand is easily faster than Pein. He performs handseals so fast they can't be picked up by a Sharingan, evidenced by the moment in the Sasuke vs. Itachi fight when he created a clone during the shuriken duel that he and Sasuke had. If the strongest Sharingan in the series can't pick it up, it's gotta be fast. That's one advantage for Itachi.

Then, there's the incident that almost cost Pein the victory against Jiraiya. Pein is susceptible to Genjutsu. All of the bodies were paralyzed at once because they all heard the same song from Ma and Pa's Genjutsu, but since they all share the same sight, hitting one body with Tsukuyomi would effect them all...killing 6 birds with one stone. Another point for Itachi. Also, Susano'o could possibly win it for Itachi, if I knew how durable the body was. What I mean is, the reason he wasn't evaporated by Kirin is because Itachi deflected most of the damage with the Kagami shield. If one of Pein's bodies attacked Susanoo's back where the shield couldn't reach, would it break through to Itachi?

Doesn't really matter though, as the Totsuka can't be defended against. He swings and cuts all six down, absorbing them into an alternate world where they are trapped in a blissful Genjutsu for eternity...assuming Fat Pein can't absorb the Totsuka. I mean, it's not a ninjutsu, but it is made of chakra so I dunno.

Anyway, Rinnegan gives Pein the ability to access all the chakra pathways, giving him an unlimited mount of jutsu he can use...seemingly without wasting chakra. Unless each body has it's own chakra reserve, which would make sense. If Pein uses all of his bodies at once, he would lose based on these facts...but since there's obviously more to the Rinnegan than we know, we've gotta wait until we get something more significant to work with. Though I gotta admit I'm leaning toward Itachi.

well the genjutsu may only work against him if its a sound or somekind of other sense, because maybe the eye techniques may not be able to penetrate the rinnegans gaze. Susano is something else though because in the beginging of the Jiraya fight pain was able to summon more then 3 summons in one of his bodies. So far we've only seen anyone be able to summon one at a time so he may have more tricks to bi-pass susano maybe not by force but bipass it none the the less

This would be an interesting battle. I would like to see Itachi win this but I think Pein would.

I don't even think this would be close. Itachi's black flame would be swallowed up by the Fat Pein and even Jiraiya in his hermit mode couldn't keep up with Pein. Also, Itachi wears down VERY quickly after using sharingan techniques so all Pein has to do is wait it out.

Pein gets this one easily.

Itachi's power were at less then half of what they could be when he faced sasuke... Pein went all out with Jiraya as far as we know... its not as one sided as you may think.

Stop using that if A is stronger than b logic, it works in dragonball not in the naruto or bleach universe, its based on matchups not who can yell louder, longer or who fights for Chichi

Anyway, Im leaning toward Itachi. Yes, he is sick, though the topic creater said if they are at full strength.

We dont know what the Rinnegan can do, we do know that its weak against genjutsu...or at least thats the only form of attack that was useful. And Itachi is mostly genjutsu, so you have to nod in his favor. Also, when Sasuke fought Diedra....Pain said he died.....that was false, Itachi felt it was false....or maybe the rain was from Pain or something at that time, who knows. Anyway it seems the sharingan has an advantage over the rinnegan adn byakugan

I can see perfectly how people are for Pein but Itachi i have to give it to him. I would easily give it to Itachi if MS wasn't so taxing. If he stole Sasukes eyes he WINS.

-We've never seen Itachi fight anywhere near serious

-Jiraiya (or Pein) said if he knew there were 5+ Peins to begin with he could have won. Itachi wouldn't be caught off guard from this

-Jiraiya(+-)= Orochimaru who was scared of Itachi and that was part of the reason he left Akatsuki.

-Madara was scared of Itachi. Madara is Peins boss...

- Can't forget Genjutsu. Itachis is serious

I think even though Pein is 6 people Itachi in FULL FORM, full metal jacket would take it to him in the long haul. Not an easy win by far though

i wanna give it to itachi ... cuz really we havent seen him fight at 100 % either .. yea hes used his strongest techniques but not to their full potential considering that he held back to not kill sasuke and wasted w/e on naruto. i dont know what pein could do to fight off susanoo
