Pain vs Third Hokage.

Both of them are - were , in Sarutobi's case :/ - really powerful , Pain defeating Jiraiya and Sarutobi training all three of the Sannins.

Sarutobi in his prime , Pain with any Jutsu we have seen him using as of now.

It'd take alot of chakra to compete with the rapid summons Summoner Pein uses, and Enma probably wouldn't be effective against said summons anyway because of the size difference. Sure, he's indestructible in his Nyoi form, so that'd serve to protect him against some attacks...but I don't see that pole knocking out any of those massive summons. If he could get close to one of them (nigh impossible with the Rinnegan factor) he could take out Absorbing Pein, giving him leeway to perform ninjutsu without them being a total waste of chakra.

Even then he could be wasting chakra, because each body will see each attack as they approach from whatever angle...meaning trying that "Death God" jutsu thing would be a BIG no-no. Sigh. This is a slam-dance in Pein's favor.

Yeah am sure this would be a great fight but ultimately the third would lose. Pain is far superior to Orochimaru after all. And Orochimaru defeated the Third even though it cost him. But I wonder if Pein would let him be cought by that Reaper Death Seal Jutsu

Pein takes this easily. The third doesn't have the charka neccessary to keep up with Pein.

I completely disagree with you guys. This is Sarutobi in his PRIME, not the current Sarutobi. There is a big difference between old Sarutobi and Sarutobi in his prime. He was the "The Professor" for a reason, he knew endless Jutsus. Sarutobi in his prime could have probably defeated Jiraiya in his prime. I think it would be close but Sarutobi would win this one.

The Third is smart enough to know Pain's bodies have their weak and strong points. He'll take advantage of that and use it against Pain. Sarutobi knows the most jutsu in the series, so he could definitely find a way around Pain. Sarutobi as an old man wouldn't stand a chance though.

I dunno... the same way he beat the Hokages and trapped Orochimaru's arms he could potentially do it to Pein's 6 bodies as well esp if he knows that lights out jutsu the first knew. So I am not sure anymore... in light of what Kholdstare presented.
