Firstly, I would like to say that finding a proper place to post this has been somewhat difficult, given the fact that we have no comics section.
It was either this place, or the manga section, though the topic really doesn't fit anywhere, however, western graphic novels have little in common with manga other than the fact that they're both referred to as sequential art. The literature section was the only option left, and not an entirely outrageous one, seeing that graphic novels take the comic book genre a few steps toward being a higher form of art.
As far as my choices go, I rather enjoy Alan Moore's work. Watchmen and V for Vendetta have been particularly pleasant to read, especially since they're propably the archetype of the graphic novel, taking comic book stories to a different level, one might say.
Anyway, do share some thoughts on the matter.
