My heart ached when I saw these pictures, like when I saw the Polish girl draw "home"...
+rep for the find.
I'm suprised that the famous photo of the girl in the Vietnam War wasn't included.

Kim Phuc I believe was her name. To me, it was perhaps the most powerful picture taken as that one single girl represented the anguish and chaos of the war.

Those are definitely pictures that show the change in the world, especially the "Unkown Rebel" one, just goes to show you that one person really can make a difference.

Some of these are just beautiful/incredibly sad/incisive/captivating/thought-provoking
but yes the Vietnam War one should've been included
the brother's face regarding her dead sister was very strong :(

Very moving I must say.
Still, the Sarpville picture is also not the most famous/associated pic with the Sarpville incident that occured in 1960 in South Africa. The Hector Petorson (small dead boy being carried in the arms of his schoolmate) is almost the embodiment of the tradegy. It conveys the emotion way better.
Here judge for yourselfs:

The SHARPEVILLE, South Africa one was the most powerful for me, i remember learning about it in World History was pretty disgusting.
The Hippy one is pretty good aswell, like the way he/she is quite fearless.
