I wrote this story because it was a homework for the English olympiade (I'm not English, and in my country this is a foreign language(
It's pretty short, because the "rule" said that it couldn't be longer than...(i don't remember :D)
So..I'll just post my "little" story, and wait for your comments:

The loneliness of a toy

I felt nervous when the phone rang.I thought that those terrible events would never stop.
It all happened on a summer day, when I was playing baseball with my friends. We accidentally threw the ball through the window of a house.
Everyone got scared, because it was said that that house was haunted. Seeing that no one was moving, I went in the house to get the ball. There was a lot of dust and the mice were freely running in the rooms. I got a bit scared, but I took the ball and left.
When the sun set, I went to bed, but I had a nightmare; in my nightmare I was hearing voices, and I got up feeling sick. I felt my hands burning, and my knees were shaking.
I went to the window to get some fresh air, but then I heard my phone ringing. I answered it, and I heard someone calling my name. He was telling me: “Help me, please! It’s too dark in here!”. I froze to death and then I heard him saying that over and over again.
It’s been like this all night, so I decided that in the morning I would go back to that house: the place where it all begun. So I did. I went to the room where I lost the ball the other day. It was very dark in there, and then I saw it: it was a coffin! That person must’ve been talking about that. I was really frightened, and I wanted to get out of the room, but I saw something standing in front of me. It was a strange shadow and it was moving. It wasn’t mine; It couldn’t possibly be mine, because of the darkness in the room. I ran away without looking back, and I went as far as I could from there.
The following night, the same things happened, so the next day I got back to the house again. I felt nervous when the phone rang. The voice was telling me the same thing as always: “Help me, please! It’s too dark in here!”. I opened the coffin and put my hand in it. As soon as I felt something I screamed and got a few steps back. Then I ran away again.
The nights were always the same. I couldn’t live like that, so I went once more to the house. I looked into the coffin, where there were some bones, and a teddy bear, that looked like it was new. I was scared to death and I didn’t know what to do. I took the toy and I left. When I got out of the house, I heard that voice again. It sounded as if the teddy bear was talking. It said: “Thank you!”.
It was all over. I haven’t had nights like that so far, and I never heard that voice again, but I took great care of the teddy bear. I thought that maybe he was feeling lonely, and waited for someone to take him. Anything is possible…
