A couple of words here
A couple of words there
I write these words for you
You won't even care

Letters are arranged
To show a feeling unchanged
Yet you will never read this
I have become estranged

There is no word to express
That I can use to impress
Whom I have come to love
To whom I cannot confess

The poem I write now
This most elalabote vow
Will never reach your eyes
For my heart does not allow

to be estranged means to turn away from love and affection. i think it's synonimous with alienation.
