Momo Hinamori vs Kuchiki Rukia

Yeah, keeping with the theme of my previous one, both are Lts or at least on the level of a lt. Both are proficient in Kidou so lets hear it

Yes both of them are very good in kidou. but i have to give it to Rukia, she is tough as nails and she has many dances to her shikai

We know almost nothing of Hinamori's abilities while we know almost everything of Rukia's.. this is not a fair or logical fight. Try making one where we know much from both sides.

The only argument I could think of this though is Hinamori winning, HItsugaya mentioning how proficient she is at Kidou.

Rukia however, admitted that she was good at kidou in the academy, but compared to the other shinigami in the Gotei 13, she was just average (as mentioned in her last flashback)

Considering Rukia's dances however, could be another story, as they are more versatile than Tobiume (meaning she can use different dances instead of just a single attack).

I would say momo has better kidou abilities but i think rukias shikai would pwn momos :winking56

honestly i think rukia is at a low capt rank by now. she is probably stronger then most lt

Rukia beaing captain rank is like Chad beating someone with some significance.

For now, I guess Rukia has this, but only because the information we have on Hinamori's shikai is very limited, but from what we know she can shoot fireballs, and when she's mad, those fireballs destroyed a chunk of a building.

But when you think about it..Rukia's dances have only hit opponent weren't expecting it at all(D.roy not knowing it can hit airbourne opponents, Grimmjaw when he was about to kill Ichigo, and that big sand monster Ichigo was fighting) And Hinamori isn't exactly slow.

Well Hinamori had enough speed to surprise a capt, she has a really powerful sword that wasn't affected by Kira's abilities. And I think her zanpakuto is a kidoh based one so i don't know. But Rukia has gotten alot stronger. Her abilities even though are most effective when they have the element of surprise are still her abilities. The best warriors know how and aim for the element of surprise so its still her strength.

Her first dance requires you to be in her little area. An idiot like D.Roy even figured this out and jumped up, but didn'tknow that everything directly above it gets frozen too, which was to his disadvantage since the only reason he jumped up was because he was an aerial type fight(his words), while any normal fighter would jump backwards, which would make her first dance useless.

Her second dance is probably her main offense, but this dance requires a charge up, with a stance to be taken(from what we've seen), so it SHOULD be avoidable.

And her third dance is completely worthless, probably just used to prolong a fight after her sword is broken, but other than that meh.

And...Rukia sucks at zanjutsu.

I'm thinking Hinamori can take this, since she's fast, most likely better than Rukia at Kidou, and her Shikai has a quick direct fireball attack, unlike Rukia's whos abilities have special requirements and load times.

Zanga what your saying makes sense. but i have the feeling that this "charge up" is only for drama purposes for the anime. I don't think she really actually needs to charge it up. hers would then be the only shikai that needs to charge and there are much more complicated shikais that don't charge such as Yumichika's

Well, it's only been used thrice, twice on two opponent who weren't paying attention at all to her aka sucker punch, the third time was easily dodged by the fake Kaien. And we didn't see him dodge it, he just said he did.

So it's really up in the air for now, but till then my money is on Hina.

I think Rukia takes this becuase we know more about her strenghs and weaknesses.We barely know nothing about momo and her powers.

Rukia has been stated to be seated-officer level, or at least "possessing the skills to be one. This makes the opening post fundamentally wrong as Rukia is not "on the level" of a lt.

Now, what we know of each side - Rukia has some nice chant Kidos and three attacks. Hinamori is said to be a genius by Hitsugaya and has so far shown the ability to shoot fireballs.

Personally, since Hinamori is the Lt between the two, I'd say Hinamori. But since we don't know anything about Hinamori it's anyone's guess who wins this for real.

Just remember that Rukia has not been stated to be Lt level.

Especially since her time with Ichigo i think she's probably on the level of a Lt but that's just me. After all you have renji who's a VC even though he has bankai and there are captain's seats available. And Ikakku who has a bankai but is a third seat does that mean Yachiru is so strong that she can beat Ikakku's bankai with just a shikai? Just a few questions either way it doesn't matter really.

Nay. It's not been stated that Rukia had the skills to become seated in the first place. We do not know when her skills became valid to the point she could make it into a seated position and Byakuya intervened. Since Pyon said - and that's a long time after she met Ichigo and her powers would have "evolved", she's been in the Gotei for forty years now - that she had the skills to become a "seated officer", I'll go with that until someone demonstrates her skills to be above those of a standard VC.

When she attacked Ichimaru, I believe he was still unreleased.. he didn't even have the time to release and he was able to get from where he was to in front of his Captain rather quickly.

Yeah sorry, the captain she surprised or maybe startled was Hitsugaya but am sure looking back now it was more because he was starting to focus on Gin again instead of her. Plus she did kinda get K.Od afterwards...
