Well i wasn't sure where to post this as i saw in the poetry sub-forum it mostly serves it's purpose as an archive not a place of discussion, so i'm making this thread here.

I'm a huge fan of def jam poetry because there are a LOT of great poets in this group and their ways are a bit less then traditional as majority of them are from an urban background. A lot of them come from a place where stereo typically people are looked down upon and are considered "lesser beings". I said stereo typically because that is not always the case, that i know.

Here is a favorite of mine that i want to share with everyone and i encourage comments as well as posts of others' favorites. :]

No one has given you props for finding this?

I loved it. It spoke to how all relationships should be created and dealt with. I should pay more attention to this and other sections.

Well back to work ... Yay Contest 66 -_-;

Well I guess this is one positive effect of Contest 66.... honestly i've never voluntarily come in here... only links to the poem threads themselves... Woo! Poems!

i didn't even know about this. i am open minded about everything so i am not judgmental about something different. besides i'm experimenting myself with different styles and its so so def!
