Reality

...Dreams what are they?
Are they our imagination?
Our fantasies come true?
Why is it that our dreams over come reality?

In our dreams we see each other
In reality we fall apart
I can see a clear blue sky
But a storm clouds the surface
A fire blazes in my dream
Knowing that these flames cease to exist

Dreams bring us joy
But we are seperated from our nirvana
We are bound to the chains of reality
That we want to be free and fullfill our dreams

Dreams corrupts our reality
Reality enhances our dreams
We fall for what isn't real
And dread for what is the thruth

Our life grows from underneath
Seeing the world in a different way
Thinking this is not true
Wishing it is all false
Looking for a way to escape this reality
We can't
We live in Reality...

Body vs Mind

Colors, Sounds, Touch,
The body sees what the mind cannot.
reality flows all around,
through our hair, our ears, our eyes, our hands.
Our earthly body connects us to this realm,
Our mind connects us to the dreams beyond.
Sleeping, Dreaming, Ideas and such.

I feel he portrayed his poem in a more in depth way, but not to long and I can easily remember it's meaning.

Ai also gets my vote for reasons that have already been cited by the above, though I didn't like the "and such" at the end of the final line; such a trivial way to conclude a poem. :(

I was wondering why it was 8 to begin with XD Its 5 in the guidelines :p

Anyway, well done people. Its a lil harder in a different way when you just have a theme and let poets use their signature forms cause people appreciate different forms but its hard too when you have a battle in a form you're unsure of, like the previous battle between Ai and myself.

Congrats to Ai of course. And .Fate, yours was good for an absense in poetry \o/

Could you link the guidelines again?

I looked for them when I went to make my poetry battle w/ Chi. I couldn't, so just did what fate did with 8 votes. >.>

I thought it was odd... but couldn't remember for the life of me all the rules to the Poetry Battles. Am I crazy? Are the guidelines right in front of my face and I'm just not seeing them? :(
