Well, as the title says, i have recently began to learn japanese. Teaching myself with help from my:

And various other resources.

I am looking for a Japanese speaking person, OR a fellow student of the japanese language. Basically, what i would like, is someone to talk to about the langauge, learn and practice conversations and just generally get help with learning it from an actual person!

Any level of japanese would do as i know almost nothing :D if your interested in helping or talking about it, say here or add me (i'll put contacts at the bottom)

I would be nothing intense, just chatting from time to time. As im teaching myself in my spare time, it wouldnt be a 24/7 thing anyway. You can have as much input or as little as you like.

A little information about myself, incase you'd want to know.

I'm 18, nearly 19, from Newcastle upon tyne in the united kingdom. I always been into anime and japanese culture, now i have spare time ive decided to finally learn the language. (even if it is just the basics)

If you think you could help or wanna learn with me (i'd happily share what i learn with others in my situation :)) contact me on any of the following (or all of them :P)

Hey well Im full Japanese, and my mom is from Japan.

Well I took some classes in elementary, and now kind of reviewing them again in Japanese 1 in high school. Its pretty easy so far since its kinda like review. Also its good to have a mom whos knows it all too.

Well Im not sure how much help Ill be, since we learn pretty much from worksheets at school, but I can try.

I'll help you out a bit if need be (I don't have my contact info...yet, but I will hand them out when I set them up this month).

I am no expert, but I have been practicing Japanese for a good five years, no both syllabaries and almost all Level 4 and Level 3 kanji. Plus I am an expert on pronunciation, know lots of resources to learn Japanese, and have the same book you do.

P.S. That book is the worst of the ones I have. It completely screws up the pronunciations and subtlety of the language in my opinion. Not an awful book but not the best either.
