Change, change, change.
Behold! In view, a vivacious symposium, undergoes a transubstantiation as if it were run by the hand of Fate. This metamorphosis has led to hypertrophy and reign, prosperous and eccentric, but alas the development has brought about the inauspicious deconstruction of the empire due, to one may only guess, engorgement, a greed to push the tribunal up onto the pedestals of the Heavens, but ultimately bringing forth its downfall. Notwithstanding, the hierophants that had only recently taken throne of their hierarchy (Ai and Tess), are not the ones to give a mea culpa, because their acts were just to substantially increase our delectation, but alas, the fact remains, that now we must bide our time for the restoration of our tribunal, but "All shall be well; and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well" (from the 14th century mystic Julian of Norwich).” :)
As for what the changes are, attention must be payed to the work of a returning veteran of the hierarchy, Ai, whom is currently rebuilding the Gotei Project from its inside (the c46) to everything around, with great plans for the future of the project, so be alert for his great schemes. ;)
Also, another event I would like to direct you all to, is the rebirth of the Club Bleach RPG, which was scrapped but a year ago, but is now successfully being resuscitated by Head GM Jaran, as well as patricians and long-time patrons of the project, Minato, Kaze and SoraStrife. Any further developments on the RPG will be kept on hiatus until the forum becomes stabile again and the higher powers fix the problems with the dice mod (used to play the RPG).
Also, as you can all see, the Club Bleach Newsletter (CBNL) has recently been renamed “The Newspaper (http://clubbleach.net/forumdisplay.php?f=174),” due to a rearrangement of how it is now being run. Before, it was just an activity run by our own for our own, but now it has evolved into a more mature, better organized joint-project between Club Bleach and Bleach Portal, thus making the precedent “Club Bleach” in “The Club Bleach Newsletter” void, and thus calling a need for a fresh and ripe appellation.
And on that note, if you are wondering who the scribe of this editorial is, I am pleased to introduce myself as the newest addition to the staff at the Newsletter. I go by the username “TofuChan,” but for those who care, my name elsewhere is “Miranda” (Randy for short), and I am a but a puerile otaku with an obsessive personality, with more deficiencies then President George W. Bush’s administration, and an artistic love for the queer and distinct. My job here, is to convert the newsletters into .pdf files for the convenience of the reader, in case one were to desire for an archive of past evenets, and have them directly in your computer, instead of having to refer to the new newsletter section for past converage. For those who are curious of what it is I do, or want to download some of the files, go here (http://clubbleach.net/showthread.php?t=60675).
And to all those that apply, have a nice vacation. To those in America, I salute you. And finally, to the fans of the newsletter, I give you all my greetings and I wish you all good times and good luck for whatever life has in plan for you. ^^

The Elusive Unholy
We here at the newspaper have been given a task, To get an interview with Unholy the creator, owner and insanity behind bleachportal and ultimately responsible for the forum.
The only condition...I can't do it..^_^....he's proving difficult to chase but rest assured next issue we will be doing a cameo of him and his life and his reasons behind the creation and running of the site and his thoughts on matters behind Bleachportal.

Front and Centre - Psychostar
Name: Psychostar | GFX Artist
Age: 13
GFX Team [If Applicable]: Arkenteron Team
GFX Class [If applicable]: Amateur
When did you start GFX? I started it on June of 2007
What got you into it? My brother and CB
Where does you inspiration come from? It comes from everything I see. It all gives me ideas for sigs.
What pieces of art can you do? [i.e.: Tags, Avatars, Banners, etc.] Tags, avatars, userbars, banners, renders.
In your opinion, what’s the hardest part of GFX? When you begin, they all say you're really bad at GFXing. When they say it, you feel like you don't want to keep on with GFX.
Easiest? When you get used to read the comments of your sigs and you start to get better at GFX.
What’s the best part of being a GFXer? You can join a GFX team, you can make a lot of friends and you can improve a lot with your friends Least? When you don't have ideas to do sigs and you don't have the time to make sigs.
What piece of work are you exceptionally proud of? [Post Picture] http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/9972/ichigocoolgi6.png
Why? Because all the good GFXers say that this sig is the better sig I ever made
Least Favorite of your work? [Post Picture] http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii8/Psychostar69sigs/chiisig.png?t=1198700006
Why? Because it's the most criticized sig and I don't like it either.
Favorite GFXer on CB? M_A
Why? Because his sigs are amazing and he got Semi-pro in National Sig League.
Can you offer any advice for those just getting into the field? If you have time, do all the sigs you can, and, if a lot of people criticize your sigs a lot, only thank the people who commented your sigs and keep on making sigs and getting better. Join a GFX group and have fun while doing your sigs.
That's all :)

The 6th vs. 11th Challenge
The 6th and 11th Divisions took part in a challenge to promote friendly competition and activity between the divisions. The challenge tested their member's skills of the written word as they were limited to 250-350 words. Also, their stories had to relate to this picture:
http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj183/JoelNS/stocks/068.png
Winners were granted with reputation prizes as well as their works featured in the CBNL, thanks to public voting. And without further ado, here are the winners from the 6th Division, winning by a small margin of points:
He rode his white horse through the endless mountains, seeking the pass to the north. His white hair flared in the wind, as he rode time and again through those rises and falls, often having to force his weary stallion over chasms and pitfalls. As he led his white steed over a particularly nasty drop, he almost smiled at the irony of his existence, the endless trudging through the mountain, clad in silvery white. He was the very image of a white knight in shiny armour, but he had no princess with him, no dragon to slay.
It was hardly a few weeks ago that he entered those mountains. He was yet another adventurer; believing and dreaming that he would slay the dragon, save the princess, become a legend. Now he was faced with the harsh reality of the realms. Dragons were not so common and princesses did not tend to sit on high towers awaiting their saviour. And he, famished and thirsty, felt it was the end.
He lifted hazy eyes and suddenly saw several ancient columns rising in front of him. He reached a valley below the mountain where the remains of an ancient building still stood, particularly a stony crest covered in moss here and there. Whatever was here, white and proud, was long since gone. Just like the knight.
Or perhaps not… he searched more carefully and noted several tracks on the pure white marble of the floor. Those claw marks could only be made by a giant, clawed leg… the leg of a mighty dragon. He smiled thinly to himself, looking down on his white armour. He will make his own dragon, and his own legend.
He will live forever in the memories of others. He will call down the dragon.
He will be the black knight in tarnished armour.
As the sun crested the distant hilltops, the rays cast upon the ruinous landscape pressed the shadows afar. Small creatures had since returned since the clamor of war no longer touched this land. The rider noticed no other life in this barren place which was once proud Gilead.
Two months had passed since the last of the castle’s citizens had run to distant lands or been slain. Of all those charged with the protection of Gilead, the noble and unfaltering Templar Guardsmen, to his knowledge only one had been such a disgrace to the lineage of his fathers to flee from the sight of the advancing hordes.
Carefully walking his mount through the disarray of broken stone and twisted corpses, the Templar Guardsmen was forced to identify former friends, rivals and teachers by the pendants they wore. Each family had a unique emblem, to identify the lineage.
Yet here was one corpse, dressed in the Templar armor, sans pendant. Since none could bear the shield of the Guardsmen without being borne into nobility, he knew this was the corpse he sought. His father was forced to pass on his shield before death in battle, as his leg had been rendered lame. Yet even still, with a coward for a son, the family’s honor was dismantled singlehandedly after generation upon generation of coveted service and nobility.
In such dire times as the impending horde of the Diseased Ones, nobody would have denied such an able duelist, even advanced in years and lame of the leg. Placing the pendant upon his desiccated chest, the unworthy son prayed for his relief in the afterlife, hour after hour he prayed. Not for forgiveness, he would never achieve that.
As he prayed, unmoving, one of the lemming-like rodents crept onto his leather shoe. Mistaking him for a fresher source of meal, bit.
Four days later, a disease set into his leg which blackened the appendage, the man mused that he would meet such a fitting fate. A coward dies a cowards death, a man dies a man’s death. All is right with the world.

Manga Review
Rosario + Vampire
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/7b/Cover_of_Rosario1.jpg
Author: Akihisa Ikeda
Genre: Fantasy, Comedy, Romance, Action, Harem
Now, everyone loves vampires, no? Then who wouldn't love a manga based around a vampire and her group of friends? Of course, you add in ecchi moments, a plethora os panty shots, and some harcore fighting and you get Rosario+Vampire. The main male protagonist, Tsukune Aono, was invited to a college of monsters, but he didn't know. So, like any person receiving an invite from a college, Tsukune didn't pass it up. He meets Moka Akashiya, a vampire who loves the taste of Tsukune's blood, saying it's the sweeetest she's ever had. Kurumu Kurono, a succubus jealous of Moka for attracting so much attention, becomes Moka's self-titled rival, and is determined to steal Tsukune's affections for herself. Yukari Sendo, a witch, is also a companion. She tends to gi ve comedic aspects to the manga more than the others, but does have her parts. Mizore Shirayuki is a yuki onna , or ice woman, and, obviously, has the ability to control ice. After all the main characters are introduced, as well as some others, the story really starts to kick off.
The first general chapters consist of everyone's growing friendship, trust, joining the newspaper club, and taking out school bullies who attack Tsukune. They also include the academy's rule enforcers and teachers. The story take a much deeper dive as Tsukune himself begins to transform into a monster himself, more sepcifically, a ghoul. He later also joins the academy;'s student council, in which a huge story arc and events take place. The Chairman of Youkai Academy wants Tsukune to look into a group called ANTI-THESIS, whose goal is unknown, but not very good, obviously. Though summed up in about four story arcs, the plot and depth of the manga is deeper than expected, especially with ANTI-THESIS, though not quite deep enough to my personal liking. The art of the manga is nice, though sometimes the eyes of Tsukune got to me. The series is also filled with many chapters that just show the progression of everyone's feelings, mostly between Moka and Tsukune, making the story arcs feel shorter than they could have been.
And, for fans of the series, a Rosario+Vampire II is already out, and still continuing, in which that takes place a year after the end of the first series. All in all, it was a very good read, and any fan of supernatural, monsters, with some thrown in ecchi and romance will eat this series up.

Anime Review - Basilisk
http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/images/reviews/81/1157930558.jpg
Basilisk can be summed up with two things: 1. A Ten vs. Ten Melee; 2. Romeo and Juliet, and oh yea, we mix in a little bit of other conspiracies and some minor romantic actions.
The story starts in the year 1614, and the often romanticized Tokugawa Ieyasu needs a successor. He has to choose between two sons, so he decides to affiliate a clan of ninjas (Kouga and Iga) for each son and have them battle it out on their behalves. The setting is a ten vs. ten melee, and the clan that kills the other clan wins, and the son that’s affiliated with the winner gets to become the next Shogun. This is all good, since both Kouga and Iga share a 400 year long mutual hatred for each other, but the catch is however, they’ve been on a peace treaty for a quite while now, and their prince and princess are lovey dovey.
What do you get from warring ninjas? Those who know the concept of ninja fighting would expect for a lot of blood, guts and gore. As for those who’ve only seen the more child friendly Naruto… they’re in for a nice little surprise.
Basilisk starts on a very fast pace, and the first episode is rather complex. Personally, I was a bit lost half way through the episode, but everything becomes crystal clear by the second episode. Using what I consider to be “pre-developed” characters, in that the characters’ personalities are written on their faces and you’ll understand them without the need for development, Basilisk quickly introduces its characters, all of whom are part of the ten vs. ten melee. Unfortunately, some of them die just as quickly as they were introduced.
Much like the Bleach captains, characters are a strong point of Basilisk. Although some are less interesting and a bit hard on the eyes, all of them are unique, and powerful. With this, the difference between life and death becomes Russian roulette, and it’s quite hard when a lovable character gets gruesomely slaughtered two episodes in.
One thing that Basilisk does an unexciting job of is the plot. Unfortunately, that’s more of a result from its Romeo and Juliet story than its actual execution. Labeled as one of the greatest literary classics of all time, Romeo and Juliet is very well known, and studied by almost everybody. As a result, Basilisk’s plot becomes exceedingly unoriginal, and that doesn’t sit well with many people. Also, its Tokugawa setting and ninja fighting subgenre further exposes this problem. However, I was more than pleased with the execution of its plot, and the addition of a minor conspiracy allows it to be more interesting than one might expect.
Finally, the technical aspects of Basilisk are very strong. Animation quality is very high, and things move very fast and smooth. Sound is also pretty good, both voice acting and sound effects. The music is solid, and it fits the mood quite well.
In summary, Basilisk is what it is --- ninjas killing ninjas, and Romeo and Juliet. If you expect more, you’re going to be disappointed, but if you see it for what it is, you’ll have a very enjoyable time watching it. That is, if you can accept pretty ninja girls getting slaughtered once in a while. Overall, it’s a good watch, I recommend it, and it should be a lot better than the highly criticized live action remake, "Shinobi".

The Great Divide
Hello and welcome to another edition of the Great Divide, a chance to ask ten members of CB to have their say on a different topic each issue. So what is the question this time?
"Which would you rather have done: Tattoos or Piercings?"
==============
Macabre-
This is all in MY opinion, but..
Tattoos are more expression through bold art, piercings are expressions of image.
I've always wanted both. :]
But if i had to pick, i'd choose the tat, just because it would probably be easier to deal with. God forbid my piercing get stuck on something and coming ripping out like an obvious sexual reference. :cm:
==============
Neko Cero-
Peircings pl0x.
Look better, aren't as permanent, plus peicings are just cool.
Not to say tattoos are not awesome, I just prefer piercing. You ever seen a chick with a ring through her lip? HAWTNESS.
>.>
But the ones in places where people dont usually see... *winkwink* Those are not as hawt. Not really at all. I prefer the smoothness.
<.<
Uhh.... you didn't hear that.
* Neko Cero walks away from interveiw wistling *
==============
Saikou-
Tattoos
Piercings are kool but just not my thing as much as tattoos. I love the meaning behind them, at least will have meaning, and I love how they look. They are a permanent reminder for the reasons you get them. Mine include memorials for my deceased friends and family. They also are very good conversational pieces and again help me to remember their meanings. Tattoos with personal meaning are always more significant than a piercing, as cool as they are.
^^
==============
Do'Urden-
Definitely Tattoos, I love the feeling the needle gives me, and they are definitely way more imaginative than piercings. Anyone can get anything pierced, and they all look the same, but tattoos are living art, and that is BA.
==============
Midare-
Well, actually I have both: 2 tattoos (a tribal thingy onm my left arm and an spider on my right wrist) and 1 piercing (eyebrown).
So technically I'm not choosing one of the two options :p
The reason why I have them... well, I got my first tattoo when I was 15. Here is normal to celebrate in an special way when a girl turns 15 years old (just like the "sweet 16" thing I think) and I didn't want a party with a white bride-like dress and all that stuff, so I asked my mom for a tattoo and, being as irresponsible as she is, not only she authorized me to get a tattoo, but also she got one herself XD.
Then I got my eyebrown pierced when I was 16.... I didn't have a good reason for it (as well as for the tattoo)... you know, adolescents are like that . :p
And finally, on my 19th birthday I got the spider tattoo. The reason, is pretty lame also... there is a band called Cold which I love, specially because of the lyrics and they're logo is that spider... and besides, I love spiders :p
==============
Yuuichi-
This is the wrong question to ask me. I can't get either, but if I could than piercings, I can take them out any time and they will heal over, but tattoos are permanent, and I may not like the same thing in the future.
==============
Sting Rae-
I wouldn't want either done to me, but since I have to choose one, I would pick piercings because they are less permanent.
==============
Esca-
Logically, piercings. But I'd prefer a tattoo.
==============
Guy-
Uh... neither, tbh. Can I choose that?
If I'm forced to... I guess piercing, but if neither's a choice, put me down for that.
==============
Kefka-
I would rather have a tattoo done. I've thought about it in the past and just think it would be much cooler then a piercing. i would probably get either a chinese/japanese character, a dragon, or something else I like tattooed.
I also find girls that have tattoos sexy so thats another reason why I choose tattoo.
==============
And the winner is...
http://www.tonya.me.uk/graphics/fun/girl-tattoos.jpg
Tattoos!
Beating Piercings 5-4 (One I wasn't sure what she went for xD)
Tune in next time when I ask:
Which is the superior cuisine? Pizza or Pasta?

POETRY OF THE WEEK CHAMPIONS
"Shall we dance?"
by: Pantiffel
(POTW #26)
Our eyes meet
And a smile finds its way to your face
Soft music fills the room
A sudden movement of your feet
You take my hand
Two pieces that fit perfectly
Your actions confident
As if you had this planned
Resistance has no chance
For he knows my weak spot
He bows to me and whispers softly
“Shall we dance?”
Melancholy Thoughts
by: Chi
(POTW #27)
She was the saddest girl
to ever to hold a martini.
Sitting alone at the bar,
thinking about her past.
She told me that no man
could never really appreciate her beauty.
I whispered, bitter sweet as it may be,
Our lives aren't perfect,
we just do the best we can.
She then moved close
and whispered in my ear that
The sweet is never quite as
sweet without the sour.
Only after you know the sour,
can you ever truly appreciate the sweet.
After all isn't life a stream of
shattered dreams fueled by hope?

Maybe you guys should ask an Admin/Smod to make Globel Announcement each time a new issues of the BP/CB Newspaper comes out(and make the Announcement last like a week). So more member will know about it.

Great newsletter. But I did find it kinda hard to read the interview. Maybe if double space or something like that so that it is not such a strain on the eyes. Other wise like I said great job.

JB is the best gfx artist until I went to the gfx section. lol :p
Ah, this is my first time reading CB's newspaper. I have to say, my favorite parts were Tofu's article and the divisions' short stories. Nice work. :)
Kewl issue, good job peeps! ^^

Combine Animus with CBNL, like 2 in 1, so that the readers have more stuff to read. I don't mean merge them into one thing, just publish them together (?)
Also, regarding the interview with Kal (example), i would suggest that any kind of conversations/interviews are colored, like Kal's lines in blue, and CBNL's in red or sth. It would be MUCH easier to read em like that.

I loved the Great Divide. As always, most replies were funny. The next topic sounds equally as interesting. POTM 11 (Innocence) was adorable. SKOTW 25 looked very nice. Congrats to the winners.
Oh, and center formatting needs to be fixed here (http://forums.bleachportal.net/showpost.php?p=2835195&postcount=8). The cover could use more color, but maybe that's just my own preference.
All in all, very good issue.
