How to put Videos & Music in Profiles

Go to your UserCP (http://forums.bleachportal.net/usercp.php) > Edit Your Details (http://forums.bleachportal.net/profile.php?do=editprofile)

Scroll down till you see a Profile Player option

If you click the dropdown menu, several options are presented to you.




None:
this does.... nothing



Youtube: (www.youtube.com)
This option will display a youtube video in the right side of your profile.

In the Part 2 box, enter the 11 character ID that can be found in any video's URL

Project Playlist: (www.playlist.com)
This option will allow you to have an audio playlist in your profile.
First select Project Playlist from the dropdown menu.

For Part 2, enter your Playlist ID that can be found in the URL

in this case, it's 33663399





Last.FM radio:
This is pretty easy.
Select Last.FM from the Dropdown.

For part 2, Simply enter your favorite Artist. (Like Led Zeppelin or Nobuo Uematsu or Kanye West)

It will now play songs from all similar artists




MP3 Player:
Instead of a playlist, this will play one track.
For part 2, paste the URL of the MP3 you would like played.
(note: it has to be hosted)


imeem
Select imeem from the dropdown
For part 2, enter your imeem playlist ID thats found in the embedded code.

You can quickly find it by searching the page for "imeem.com/pl/"

I dont know if anyone had/has the same problem, but when I first did it, I was putting in the entire youtube link and it wasnt working. So here is a screenshot of ow it actually should look for a youtube video, just to clear it up. Maybe the instructions here are obvious, but w/e ill just post this anyways.

The underscore was part of my youtube video link, so yea I think it is. It works now though.

@autoplay: i am working on a script that would allow users to turn off/on autoplay for embedded media in all profiles.



in the meantime..., i could turn it on if the majority prefers it

I got a question, can you use photobucket or other websites, because youtube.com removes torns of videos if brokes their rules. I suggest that users copy the video to harddrive if youtube.com removes the video and upload on another website, so can still use on their profile if they still wish use it.

Playlist.com decided to change some things around > >

To now get the correct node/ID for your playlist, open your playlist & click on the "post to myspace" link. After you choose the playlist you want to add, the correct node will now show in the URL

e.g: http://www.playlist.com/generate_code?playlist=33663399&site=myspace
