Mask in episode 34

Where does the mask that was in Ichigo's clothing come from? You see it on the floor after he's finished being treated in the sewers.

No spoilers please, I just want to know where it came from and why he kept it there.

No, he says that later on with Yourichi. I believe the mask gets recreated. It's an extension of you-know-who and no matter how many times Ichigo throws it away he's effectively only throwing away the outward sign, not the inward cause. That's why it keeps coming back.
It'd be like if you kept killing bees but didn't get rid of the hive. Doesn't matter how many you kill, they'll always come back as long as the hive is still there.
Remember the mask is created out of the air? It's the same thing. He can't get rid of it because it can just be created out of literally thin air.

Oh, sorry... I've seen the entire anime up to 59.

I was sure the mask had something to do with the transformation in 59, so I was trying to remember exactly how it came about.. I remembered seeing it in episode 34 and I remembered he got it but I couldn't remember which episode he got it in.

I just want to know the entire back story before I see the upcoming episodes, because I think it's going to be important :)

acctually,the mask first appeared when ichigo regained his shinigami powers after shattered shaft...where he almost became a hollow...

just reminding everyone...

If Ichigo dies the Hollow Ichigo does die aswell. We know this because he says "If you loose, I'll be in trouble Ichigo." The mask keeps coming back because it's part of Ichigo. We saw it after the Hollow transformation was stopped and he took it off his face. Thats when he put it inside his Kimono. Everytime it saves his life, another line appears on the mask. It's created by Ichigo's hollow side in the hollows own interests. He dosnt really care about Ichigo, but he knows if Ichigo goes down, he takes him with him.
Kids these days should pay more attention.

Basically the hollow needs Ichigo to stay alive so that the hollow can have the power or something. It was in the episode when inside his body Ichigo fights the hollow Ichigo,
