Info: Astro Boy is a computer-animated 3-D film based on the highly successful manga/anime series created by Osamu Tezuka. It is being produced by Imagi Animation Studios, the animation production company of TMNT and the upcoming Gatchaman. The studio announced the project in September 2006. It will be directed by David Bowers (Flushed Away) and produced by Maryann Garger with Pilar Flynn as associate producer. Plot: Set in futuristic Metro City, Astro Boy is about a young robot with incredible powers created by a brilliant scientist in the image of the son he has lost. Unable to fulfill the grieving man's expectations, Astro Boy embarks on a journey in search of acceptance, experiencing betrayal and a netherworld of robot gladiators, before he returns to save Metro City and reconcile with the father who had rejected him.

So what do u guys think of an Astro Boy movie? For me, I would like to see it and already have good expectations for it. Hopefully a trailer will be out soon. I would also like to see them make a Megaman movie too.

Edit: I added a trailer

I think i'd prefer the animated version actually... The characters will have a more familiar feel that way.

I used to love that show so much :o

Honestly I wouldnt mind whether it was live-action or animated. It'd still feel realistic in my opinion if it was live-action. Being animated I guess allows them to do more stuff and be more creative with it I think

Yeah, no. Live action? A little boy running around in his underwear? No thanks. Even in CGI, I think I'll avoid this flick...

Honestly don't know what to think of it at the moment. Its made by the same company which did TMNT but I'd say the character designs are closer to the anime version of Astro Boy which is good and honestly doesn't look that bad and the human character probably look better than the ones in TMNT cos of that since it was based on an anime already.

Edit: Just thought of something after watching trailer again lol
