Lelouch's being threatened intellectually by two men, Xing Ke and Schniezel. This episode totally exposed Lelouch lacking real-time strategic experience.
Wow, that ending threw me for a loop. At first I was like "Oh noes! They're gonna have clones in CG now?" Then I realized it was probably Rolo in disguise. That's a pretty advanced disguise, though.
Interesting episode overall. Should have listened to Deithart after all and retreated the first time. I don't think they would have harmed Karen while the Black Knights still had the empress after all.

Rollo was also there at the table, he couldn't split in two. There's also height differences, so no.
WTF?! How did Lelouch get back to Japan that quickly?! While sneaking up on all the Chinese soldiers trying to kill Xing Ke? Something doesn't make sense....
Also, now watching Lelouch getting own officially amuses me. I no longer have any respect for someone who abducts children, regardless of that person's political status.

i think they are just setting up a really tough situation just to have Lulu find a brilliant way out of it.
i wonder if Lulu used his geass on everyone in the last scene, telling them to imagine that he was there or something.

i am of the same mindset (i only like two mecha anime, one being this the other being TTGL, yes i have very high standards). But I think that you need to be able to enjoy the battles in order to actually enjoy this anime. It's like watching Yakitate! Japan for it's plot but not liking cooking, though arguably mecha isnt as integral for CG as cooking is for Y!J.
Anyways I usually don't watch the previews but i thought i'd make an exception because i'll be gone for a month. Orange-kun is back! + Anya seems like she's ready to kill. Also, one more thing i wanted to go over. About that Lelouch clone, do you think CC might have given him a new power? (she had that, oh no, memories of my past! face in the preview) or bestowed a power on someone else?

I haven't watched the episode yet , but from what you guys said - something about clones - I have to conclude that CG R2's episodes quality is degrading. Do you agree?
It's starting to get illogical , only to be more exciting. For example , in the last episode they made a mistake in chess , only to give emphasis and exxagerate the match.
Having re-watched episode 1 & 2 , I can't help it but think they were way better than the current ones... Or is it just me?
As you have yet to watch the episode, and we're talking about something that happened in the last ten seconds, I'd say your opinion is null.
It was mostly a mecha fighting episode again, that's why there is little other discussion. Nobody has mentioned the new Knightmare and how it fell into the Chinese's hands, Kallen getting captured, or whether Xing ke is going to survive through the next episode (even if he isn't killed in battle).
The episode had a "lolwut?" moment for the final scene, leaving us with a cliffhanger in the "figure how this is possible" sense.

wow. that has me stumped.
/hopes for a non-lame explanation.
I actually really enjoyed this episode, although i dont see why he couldn't have just tried to get Xingke to go along with his plan of taking Tianzi, by deception if nessecary.
Having said that, it may not have worked given he just got completely outwitted by Xingke, even if (when) he comes up with some wacky plan that at least gets everything back to some sort of status quo next episode.
Unnessecary loli upskirting ftl, however.

Lelouch is probably going to try and get Xingke onto his side, the eunuchs are already ready to kill him and Tianzi is with Lelouch anyway.
also, i think Xingke might die during or before the new op (July 6th)

Honestly, the first thought in my head when there was a second smiling Lelouch was "Oh God It's Orange-kun with hypnosis!"
XD
OK, since everybody's commenting on the wtf scene at the end, I'll comment on the fighting scenes.
The fighting scenes were actually quite exciting to me; I like the Shen Hu. It looks awesome, and I love the way how Xingke owned Kallen. One for one, Lelouch takes Tianzi, Xingke takes Kallen. I'm sure Lelouch will do everything he could to save her.
BTW, Suzaku is so cool in this episode and LOL at those who claimed in the previous thread that its silly for Lulu to ally the Indians. Once again, mr "predict the future" is correct.
Wasn't it shown here that there is distinct possibility the Indians have betrayed Zero by giving the Chinese such a powerful Knightmare? Shows that trying to ally with them, and believing they would be there, was a mistake.

Diethart had his little "she's not as important as the overall goal" speech and now thinks Lelouch is playing favorites. This is interesting since he said back in the sub that Zero was more important than the rest of the organization. He doesn't seem to see that the Black Knights have many different levels and that Karen, Todou, Ougi and the Four Holy Baldes, and even himself are actually on a level above most of the Knights, making a rescue operation worth it.

Just the entire Chinese empire, a stage in his new plan to give him enough power to destroy Britannia (Notice how his declared plans change from making Japan independence in season one into destroying Britannia in season two without a word of protest from his knight)
However, since Lulu is likely to use the Indians in the same way as he used the Japanese, another chess piece in his game for revenge.

I thought this episode was rather exciting, although I believe it would've been best for them to retreat initially and rethink their plans before rushing in to rescue Kallen. I personally thought the mecha action was pretty good this time around, and I'm anticipating to see what Lulu's gonna do to get out of this predicament.
The LuluxKallen scenes make me happy inside. :)
Maybe but the top scientist in black knight is a Indian and probably have some personal connections with their leader. It's obvious she does have some connections to the Indian government since she has been able to aquire so much equipment for the Black Knights, but she also has connections to Britannia through Count Lloyd. So I wouldn't think too strongly of either relationship. She seems to be kind of a rebel as far as her loyalties go and more interested in the research oppertunities (and control over the results) her time with the Knights grants her. I can understand why seeing what happened to her previous efforts now.

Additionally, your "second post" says nothing really. Even the most simple minded individual could deduce that. I really wouldn't even count it as a prediction really. It's like saying there's going to be conflict between Lelouch and the Chinese in the next episode. When HASN'T Lelouch used someone or some organization as a pawn. (aside maybe Nunnally)
Lastly, there were only two individuals that questioned "India," as a general body, in the last thread. Myself and Guy. Not only that you used the phrase "silly for Lulu to ...." In the Last thread I was the only person to say "silly" at all. Do attempt to shrug your accusation as if I played a minor part in it.

Yay, glad to see another person who shared the same thoughts. I thought the Shen Hu looked more awesome than any other Knightmares we've seen so far. Xingke just pwns!
Also, I don't like what Lelouch is doing to Tianzi. He claims that he's doing her a favor by rescuing her from the grasps of Britannia, but by doing so, why would Lelouch separate Tianzi from her beloved Xingke? *thinks for a while* Maybe Lelouch is a pedo.

Everyone know there is going to be conflict between the Chinese and Lulu in this episode, so why mention the obvious?
My sentence that "However, since Lulu is likely to use the Indians in the same way as he used the Japanese, another chess piece in his game for revenge" is to put it across simply that he is make the Indians an ally (or rather pawn) of his in his conflict with the Britannia in the same way that he did with the Japanese.

villeta having the power to diguise herself? na i doubt it
logically its reasonable choice, but storywise... it will be just too random. no suspense built, foreshadowing, etc. nothing.
^
orange-kun is plausible b/c
his weird mask caught my attention
as mask is a symbol for diguise
but. if it was orange kun, lelouch wold have never expected it, and that mean lelouch was planning to break the promise with rollo. (which would piss him off, since he keeps asking him if lelouch will keep his promise)
Promise, which was that lelouch would stay with him. As his departure would mean rollo would have to go off and kill lelouch since it is his mission. This seems to point at Villeta. But, how could villeta watch the security cameras with her personnels if she was lelouch. it would be impossible. And if she was missing all the time lelouch appears. it will be awkward and blow her cover.
My guess is rollo's power
Since he can manipulate time, i think he can make certain area to recreate the past as if it was happening now, something like refrain.
and since lelouch and rollo spent like 2 yrs, mostly in that room. he would have lot to reply and interact.

Yeah , but why would Orange-kun help Lelouch? Lelouch leaving the same time when Zero left , was evidence that he was Zero. By taking his identity , he is the perfect cover for the otherwise flaw in Lelouch's plan to leave Japan.
But why would he help Lelouch?

I have read somewhere that the Shen Hu is similar to one of the Gundam series' mechs which takes a huge toll on the user, and thus not everyone can ride it. Xing Ke is certainly formidable to be able to manuever such a beast. And it was only at 40% capacity. It can easily kick Guren's butt if it's at 100% but I think the user will likely suffer heavy damage at that efficiency.
Xing Ke is suffering some sort of disease (tuberculosis) to begin with and it may be possible that he'll use Shen Hu at maximum power in the future and dies in the process, obviously to protect the Empress.

Using natural voices makes things better in my opinion. I think her voice suits her character really well.
Wow, I'm surprised, to say the least. I didn't know there were kids voicing Code Geass characters.

Well it's a lot better and more natural for kids to be playing kids ^^

Yeah, having 30 year olds play 10 year olds is kind of weird
It's weird, but it shows that these people are talented ^^

Tianzi is too cute. And I doubt that her and Xing Ke have a romantic relationship. I see it as more of a brotherly-sisterly thing than anything else. :p
Don't listen to what Kaguya says XD
Yeah, I agree with you. I think everyone here is just kidding about the XingkexTianzi relationship. There's nothing to suggest they have romance in between them.
