Plot: The story is set in an alternate 1985, where superheroes exist Richard Nixon is still president, and tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union are at an all-time high. The vigilante Rorschach is investigating the murder of the Comedian and uncovers a plot to discredit and murder various heroes. Rorschach discovers a far wider-ranging conspiracy involving his colleagues' past which could completely change the course of history.

Based on the only graphic novel to have ever won a Hugo Award, aswell as Kirby Awards for Best Finite Series, Best New Series, Best Writer, and Best Writer/Artist, and Eisner Awards for Best Finite Series, Best Graphic Album, Best Writer, and Best Writer/Artist.

I read the comic(loved it) and I'm pretty scared the movie my **** the reputation of Watchmen. Hell, didn't Alan say he wanted no part in helping with the movie? Time can only tell but I must say it looks fine. The owl ship looks nice too :p

Everyone at my movie theatre was confused when they saw this trailer, because they said it was the most anticipated movie of the year and no one had heard of it. so what is the Watchmen?

It is a comic book, very good one at tha tlook it up well worth it. Personally I cant wait for it and I attended comic con this year and seen this at it was awsome...seen the trailer there that is.

I'm not sure what to think about this movie. It's either going to be really good (300) or really bad (Sin City, sorry but I hated it). I hope it doesn't try to hard to be some new and visionary movie. It shouldn't insist upon itself.

I dont think that will be the case here, its just a long awaited movie to give back to the fans who have read and been following it sence it has been out. Though the trailer looks awsome and looks it will deliver. I hope so though and will agree Sin City was not great at all and now they did Spirit the same way and it looks awful to : (

This comic is considered one of the greatest of all time. The only comic book to be on Time's 2005's Top 100 Books. I'm really looking forward to the movie... I'm actually surprised there isn't more hype here on CB.
