Hmmm...Right now I'm just reading Books about Fighters. Famous Fighters from C. M. Clay Aka Ali to Bruce Lee. The thinking styles and the reasons for fighting change from person to person but I truly believe we, as human beings, Fight every day. Be it our selfs, others, or fight that which we can not explane. You see, These are topics i enjoy. Real people with a life that had meaning to them selfs and others. I don't know why but I've tried to read fiction books and never thought them as much fun. Now writing my own fiction is much more ful-filling and enteraing, I think. Manga and Comics are always great too. But reading boring Star War books and LOTR stuff isn't much fun for me. Now I understand that this is just my own point of view and others enjoy these books and there topics much, much, more then I. Books will never really appale to every demographic and they shouldn't.

[ Well there you have it amigos, I like to color my text white from time to time. Ballistics out...[B] ]

im not too much into the autobiography stuff. some say that fiction is completely fake and that biography are true stories of true people. but to me there is no such thing as absolute truth. there are truth in fiction, it is always derived from the authors experience and the message in which he/she wants to convey and there are lies or rather perspectives in biography. so the line between someones fiction and non fiction usually blur

Any book written by Dan Brown is good.
To single a few out tho I especially liked the da vinci code and angels and demons(which is a continuation of the da vinci code).
I'm still reading his other 2 books (deception point and digital fortress).

I can't really put any book on #1, there are so many good books and they are all special in their own way.

Shogun is good, somone else mentioned it previously.
The Alchemist (Paulo Coelho) is also excellent, perhaps not ultimate but still.
The little ugly boy (Isaac Asimov & Robert Silverberg) is really good.
Ninja (series by Eric Van Lustbader) is alright, though a bit blunt sometimes.
Harry Potter of course, waiting anxiously for the new book.
Terry Pratchet (author) is unbeatable if you're looking for a good laugh.

I also think I've read the Vampire Lestate someone mentioned, if it's the one I'm thinking about, so beautifully written. It was about a group of boys living in Venice I think.

I'm forgetting a bunch here. That's the problem with borrowing books from the library instead of buying, you forget titles since you're always returning and borrowing. >_<

My favorite book of all time: Howl's Moving Castle - Diana Wynne Jones.

Her books rock out loud.

Let's see, I love the Mediator series by Meg Cabot. All her books are so cute I can't help but read them.

Someone mentioned Catch-22. I just read that book for "summer reading". Aw man. T_T;

But as a comformist, I love Harry Potter. Those books are fantastic.

Basically if it's fiction and it's got adventure, magic, or some really awesome plot line, I'll read it. And I'm a fan of YA books, no matter how dorky everyone knows they are. XD

Actually, Angels and Demons was written first, THAN The Da Vinci Code was written, But I do agree that they are both good books. I haven't read any other books but him though..

I am more into the Fantasy/Sci-fi books myself. I like the Harry Potter series, I cried when I read book 6. Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit I like as well(Go Legolas, he's way better in the books than in the movies). I have read the Silmarillion liked it but it more like my history book than I am used to reading. The Chronicles of Narania is a good set of books. I would recommend the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind, really good. The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy series was good, as is anything written by Douglas Adams(RIP). I WOULDN'T read the wheel of time series by Robert Jordan, good at first but just seems to drag on and on.

Correction: The Da Vinci Code is the continuation of Angels and Demons...

I personally, love Dan Brown's Angels and Demons... Currently reading The Da Vinci Code. I kinda liked Harry Potter too but it's lame compared to Dan Brown's books..
