Filler episodes

With the "lets make rukus in Soul Society" arch coming to an end, the anime have reached the point where its close to the story arch of the manga.
Off course they aren't going to let it surpass the manga and my guess is they are going to polute bleach with some meaningless filler episodes untill the current (manga) story-arch is coming to an end.

How many filler episodes do ya'll think there's going to be?

Bleach get's about 1-5. However Bleach is going to have a filler arc in the future...

They might make the filler arc about Ichigo fighting hollows. During the gap between the Soul Society arc and Viazard arc.

there is a fair amount of room for a filler arc to be put in after this arc ends, im not sure if tite kubo meant to leave it this way, but i have my suspicions that he may have (clever bugger :p)

unfortunately although none of us really like spoilers, there will have to be rather a few, as the anime is up way too far on the manga, maybe one filler arc wont even do if it will only take 24 weeks or so :/ just have to hope for double manga releases and fast tite kubo!

Supposedly some of the fight scenes in the anime were supposed to be fillers. I heard this rumor and if that is true *sits back, grabs popcorn and go bleach giant foam finger*. YAY!!! However, is Don has anything to do with the new Bleach I'm going to have to use an erasor on my screen because he was only there for the child-like amusment of the peace times. PEACE IS GONE!! Maybe some fillers on the 4 great noble houses or perhaps the rebuild of Seireitei seeing their governingboard massacred. It would be great if they gave us more inside info about Soul Society.

i don´t really know how much it would be but i hope that it won´t be fillers about karakura super heros ... bleach fillers would be great if they are about Shinigami/Soul Society

(a little confused here: Are filleres those short episodes in the end of the anime or those that take the entire episode?)

Fillers are episodes that cover things that don't exist in the Manga. All the episodes so far have covered events that are in the Manga. If the episode is purely Anime with no Manga counterpart then it's considered a filler. They tend to be stand alone episodes that don't affect the main storyline. In other words, they don't add/subtract/or change the main storyline in any way. They're usually done when the Anime has caught up with the Manga and they need to make up some episodes to give the Manga a chance to get ahead again before picking up the main storyline again.

Two episodes per division will be fun. I can't wait to see Byakuya's division and Hitsugaya's division!

Filler isnt really that bad... I mean I love the action of all the soul society episodes, but I miss the humor of the first 1-10 episodes, not to mention the normal student characters. I hope we get to see what happened back in the normal world while Ichigo and co were away in soul society.

Fillers are ok, but could they fill them in after we find out what SS decides to do with the ryoka now that they are cleared of being criminals? I really would be satisfied seing that issue ressolved before the filler episodes piss me off with their not so useful information. The truth is that I really don't care about any of the divisions and I really only care about the decent captains. Including the elder captains Unohana, Shunsui, Ukitake. But if Don Kanoji gets on my screen its all over for bleach for how every many episodes until i finally come back out of curiosity over which division their featuring.
PS: OMG PLS DO NOT FOLLOW NARUTO'S PATH......!

Yeah, I don't like the fillers at all in Naruto. After about 2-3 filler episodes, I got tired of watching the Naruto fillers and stopped watching Naruto compltely, until the filler arc stops and begins again where the manga left off.

naruto fillers arent so bad..yeah some really bite the bullet but the current filler they are doing is pretty koo. supposedly they might suspend the filler arc....does that mean bleach will go on a hiatus!!!!!! NOOOOOO!!! its better they do a filler arc than no bleach like they are doing this december...next week bleach and the week after no bleach and the week after that no bleach but then they decide to get cute with us and do a two hour special on the second week of jan...bite me. nuff said.

After doing some math...
Average episode covers about 3.5 chapters of manga. Anywhere from 3 to 5 chapters. Doing this math it's anywhere from 3 and 1/2 months to 4 and 1/2 months before the anime catches up with the manga. If that happens...well...I dunno. But that's certainly not "way ahead of the anime."

I hope it doesn't turn out like Full Metal Alchemist. Full Metal Alchemist got about halfway through the anime before they had no more manga, so they just went off and did their own thing. Because of that, the manga and the anime are COMPLETELY different after about halfway through. Fortunately, Full Metal Alchemist was still amazing in both (you almost have to consider them different series, but both rock).

I also hope that Bleach doesn't do what Naruto did, and that's have two seasons of horrific fillers that had nothing to do with anything and were total crap. I wasn't even midly entertained by any of the filler crap in Naruto, so I just stopped watching it and I'm waiting for the anime to get back to the actual story line (and the Kakashi Gaiden ^_^).

Kubo Tite appears to be a ridiculously smart guy, and I'm pretty darn sure he reads most of the stuff we put on forums like this. So, Kubo-sama, if you're reading: PLEASE don't allow horrible fillers to enter into your magnifiscent anime. Kubo Tite is the man, and I'm actually quite sure he has the entire story planned out exactly how he wants it, so it's actually not too hard to think that the anime could just whiz past the manga and keep going.

For instance,how Ichigo got his Bankai (we never really did see him get t did we?) or when Ukitake and Kyouraku went to the Shinigami Academy.

There's only been one filler in the past 20 episodes. That was episode #50.

- more info about the 4 great noble families, especially the names of the last unknown two.
- to see how Urahara get banned, how he escaped and how he set up Urahara store and personel
- More about Shihouin family and their artifacts.
- More about Soul Society (like Central 46, the Demon Art Brigade etc)

Did I left anything out (exept that some would like to see Karakura SH)

How about Inoue Orihime and Arisawa Tatsuki? Those two would make a good back-up their background without getting in the way of the manga(Especially for Orihime if you wacthed episode 3). Only that would be a little boring...

Or maybe Ishida Uryuu... but he will probably be covered in the feature. Perhaps about Chad/Sado Yasutora before he met Ichigo.

Some info on Shiba Ganju and his brother + when Rukia killed his brother would be something also, but the manga/anime might look back on that some time so...

But.. one of the most intresting and/or funny filler topic could be based on Hanatarou, that'd be nice too...

i dont really like don kanonji, i like kon better, he is more funny... anyway the filler arc [if there will be one, most likely yes] should be flashback eps of some of the main characters or supporting characters... it would be much more interesting then all the filler eps being about karakura super heroes and don kanonji... i wouldnt mind 1 or 2 eps being about karakura super heroes but all of them for a filler arc? i think i will get bored quickly, no offence... btw i am guessing 16 >> 25 filler eps

the filler episodes will start after the 1 hour special, i read that on bleach7.com and they have the names of the 4 upcoming bleach eps, i dont think that theyre gonna be about the squads, i think theyre gonna be on earth, and how do you guyz know theyre gonna be that much fillers, from wut i read at bleach7 there are gonna be atleast 3 filler eps, i cant see how that went up to 24 eps
