when Zaraki and Yachiru met, she was 1 or 2 year old. If he would go just after that to 11 division, he would be just about 8 years a taichou. It's short isn't it? (it also means, going further, that Renji, Ikkaku and Yumichika were less than 8 years in his division [as for the last two it mean in gotei 13])

When Renji decided to go to shinigami school, in manga he seemd to be a teenager. So he's gone there in the same time, when Hinamori. Hinamori knew Toushiro, who was around 10. Now he is around 13 (younger than Ichigo, older than Yachiru). So Renji made in three years to be in 5th division, then become officer in 11 division and take his place as the 6th's divisin fukutaichou. How brilliant career!
Thre's only one BUT:
It makes him 18-22 year old now, while he should be around 150, just like Rukia.

yup, but in manga was said, that Yachiru is around ten, and so she looks like. I would say, that when peplez become there adults, then they are slowing in getting older.
Besides Renji calls himself back then "a kid". If he would be 147 year old back then...

In SS they get older much slower than on Earth. Renji has joined gotei 13 about 40 years ago shortly after rukia did. and he is about the same age she is.

Well when you take a look at the episode where Renji, Kira, and Hinamori went to earth on their first hollow expedition the architecture looks pretty recent (like some kind of energy plant), but if you take into account how long ago that was (back before any of them even became seated much less VC's also before gin became a captian) it seems to point to time progressing faster in SS (which would explain their rapid progression to VC's)?

Also remember Maki Maki (guy who took orihime and ran when ishida was fighting mayuri)? He said that it had been ten years since Yachiru had taken him under her wing (even though she still dosen't remember his name :P). Theres bound to be some inaccuracies in a series this long, I usually just chaulk it up to "time flux" and leave it at that. :)
