I don't know about the details.. maybe someone did something very very insulting but i think it's dumb and childish to perform such an act! surely there must be a cause for all of these but the riot could have been prevented if they actually handle this case in a matured way..
actually it started when two midlle easterners attacked two loacl lifeguards at a beach which caused the spontatneous spread of flame.
then the riot happens after multiple repetitions of the same thing of such as "racial discrimination talking matter" after days of tensioning, the Aussies decided to get up and give the Mid-easterners a taste of their country's hospitable personality.

sounds like the french riots tbh
just me or is racial tension running high across the globe? :/
not that anything new, people have been harboring racial discrimination before hand, now they are just taking it one step further. The Aussies have been viewing muslims a long time discrimination anyways. One of these reasons is the old bomb your base thing, when they bombed down the twin towers, it was one of the races (aussies) first to raise their fist saying let us bomb them back...like it or not, there has been news on this before, of street violence inclusive of racial discrimination.

now not all middle easteners are guilty, this is what i hate about riots, not everyone from an evil organisation is evil too

Chaos, no matter what the cause, is bad. Descrimination, no matter what the cause, is bad. I'm personally extremely pro-Israel and anti-Terrorism but there is no excuse for that type of behavior.

No offence to australians; I'm not really suprised, most australians I know are racist anyway.

me and my friend were talking about this the other day, all this being politically correct is grating on us as the younger genertion. A lot more humour is found in racial and slanted jokes, and a lot more people are coming round to this idea.
look around at people and you will see the racial tensions higher than you have noticed and that more humour is now found acceptable for our generation, than to those of the previous generation

these acts are unlawful and are not called for, but the ones that bashed up the lifeguards (who volunteer theeir time to make beaches safer) should be punished, though not the inncocent lebonese

I agree with you; the people who attacked the lifeguards should not go unpunished. Nevertheless, I was just saying that most aussies I know are racist (I'm talking about people I knew when I used to live there a long time ago). I know most australians aren't racist though, I mean, I was saved by an aussie lifegaurd and I'm not white so, yeah it just happens to be the few I know.
