Dude seriously, never has a mediocre capt ever been made out to be more then he really is by fan. He maybe equaled only to hitsugaya fans. While i don't know who would win between him and Zaraki, to say that he is superior to Zaraki in anything is retarded. Zaraki took on two mid-tier capts and walked away almost killing one. To say that Byakuya is superior to that would place him somewhere around Yama/Shunsui/Ukitake's level and i sorry i just don't see it. But Zaraki i can because the dude doesn't even have a proper Shikai and he's Mid-tier capt class with an eye patch restricting his reiatsu usage. That's all i got to say about that.

Indeed, he is certainly overrated. I don't get how people blatantly say that he is superior to Zaraki. I mean, Zaraki probably isn't superior to Byakuya either but I do think it's impossible to tell which is stronger.

They travel in a pair, chances are that they are of equal strength. Yamamoto sent them together to the real world.
