hmm, fansubs arent suppose to be sold, i mean they could give to you but actually making a profit is bad =[

Perhaps he meant the costs to make a cd/dvd. They don't give them for free you know.
You also have to pay for stamps if you mail it.
But if he meant even if the seller makes profit, than that would be bad indeed.

Best would be for you to do it yourself. Some people give really bad quality ones.
On eBay people are selling for £10. I got mine for £3, long time ago but now I make my own for my own use.

Uhh you need to have the files first before you can burn them.
The dude don't want to down all 60 episodes, so that's his problem.
Besides it would take about 3 dvd's or 20 cd's to burn them.
I already burned mine on dvd, but unfortunately I don't leave anywhere near Malaysia.
fan subs cannot be resold, it is against privacy laws.
and burning is also in a sense pirated
I may be Malaysian but i am not prepared to rob the fan subs
and one more thing, if it is the case of burning the original copy...sorry no cant do.

I don't think it's piracy, couse the fansubbers distribute them for free. It's not that they miss any income by burnin' their eps on CD. Their income relies solely on donations.
Btw whaddayamean, it's against privacylaws, which privacy is violated then, everything is anonymous.
As for the paying part, again I don't think the guy ask to pay for the fansubs itselfs, but for the costs burnin them on cd (price of CD+energy used 4 burning+mail them).
But hey its up tho Ichigh0st to tell what he means.
he hasn't responded.
piracy affects fan subs in this way, donations made to fansubs are used for their works, but the promotional raws released are from companies nonetheless, they own the original, redistribution without explicit consent by any secondary or enduser (fansubs are actually in a sense pirated and illegal) is strictly pirated material.
In malaysia u can get away with it, but it does mean that you are doing pirated goods redistribution.
The cost of the CDs i know, let those be a price, but burning fansubs and redistribution is wrong. that said, let us just dl ourselves ok...? peace
DevilDude: I dont agree with you. There is nothing wrong with burning it into a cd/dvd and then give it to someone because he has no ability to get those episodes. Its not like you are going to make any profit, more like you are helping someone get to watch one of the coolest anime :)
think of it this way, we are stealing the profits of the company because we did burn the discs for secondary distribution.
This means we give the person one less reason to purchase the original, does that not make sense? It means we are directly taking the rights of the original ownership in this case both Kubo, the anime company that made bleach and distributing it. It is a form of piracy. (otherwise...there is a reason why some fansubbers have adverts" if you paid for this, you are ripped off") but that is beside the point.
The thing is that we have taken the works of the original artist and ppl who worked for the anime and redistribute it to another person. Even though it may be fansubbed, we are providing a means for it to be pirated. At least this is my view.

HUH!!!??? Devildude. U might wanna rethink that. what u r doing is considered illiegal. Downloading fansubs of bleach is illegal. fansubbers are illegal. U cant redistribute anime like this without permission. But the big boys over in Asia know about fansubbs and what they can do for them so they dont really care i think cuz it expands their market and $$$. Theres nothing wrong with burning a dude a CD of anime and charging him the shipping and CD...u cant do any worse than what we do.

Umm, when/if Bleach gets liscensed in America, then Fansubbing it will become illegal. as it is right now, that is not the case.
Downloading it, and reselling it for any profit IS illegal though.
but fansubs after they are released and licensed is halted for distribution right?
And plus, most of them are provided for provincial and distribution until licensed period only (if you are responsible as well, u should delete it) I know i buy original DVDs for shows that i like.

i thought in Malaysia there are shops selling Bleach shows? where are staying?maybe not all shops in Malaysia are selling(so far as i know)and if u are staying in KL i think it will be easier to get it though the price is kinda very high.i think one original box of bleach cause aready RM50(the one i saw it)back here at Penang.
if u do not want to buy it, i best recomand u to just download it urself in much safer way bz some people are against it so it is much better to do it urself(of course for ur own use).:D
