just love war movies so i'd see what Club bleach's majority thought on the subject mine is either black hawk down or saving private ryan

First title that came to my head was Shawshank Redemption.

Such an incredible movie with excellent performances by all involved. But then I noticed the word war and I'd be torn between Saving Private Ryan and Full Metal Jacket.

I remember Hamburger Hill..but I still thought Saving Private Ryan was still a pretty great movie, loved it.

The ending of the movie surprised me i thought the old man was Tom Hanks, but no he was ryan and Hanks died!!! :(

well, entertainment wise, its saving private ryan.
i think filmmaking wise, its bewteen SPR and letters from Iwo Jima.
FMJ is also close.

as far as movies about war (not rly war movies), schindler's list and the counterfeiters are really good.
