There was a premier on TV on a new show and it pretty much took the cake for me. I was freaked out a little at the start and then got intrigued with it.

Brought to you by one of the creators of Lost, J.J Abrams. Its pilot episode became the most expensive Pilot episode in TV history, beating Lost's. It's a cross between a few TV shows like X Files, Dark Angel, Lost and Law & Order. Some wicked Aussie actors in there, but there are a few well known faces, like Joshua Jackson.

When an international flight lands at Boston's Logan Airport and there are no signs of life, FBI Special Agent Olivia Dunham, a scientist, Walter Bishop, and his son Peter uncover a deadly mystery involving a mysterious plague and a series of unbelievable events. It all revolves around fringe science; a new branch of science dealing with mind reading, levitation, invisibility, and even reanimation of the dead. Olivia, Peter, and Walter are in charge of investigating all strange events, some of them even seem to look like "experiments".

This also just started where I live. And yeah I find that its a cross between X-Files, Dark Angel and some cop shows. It seems alright and I will most likely keep watching it. Only people I recognise in this show are John Noble and Joshua Jackson.

I'm enjoying it so far. While it has that 'X-files' feel to it, everything, so far, has been backed by some sort of scientific reason, which is cool.

The pilot started off nicely. Really got me into it.

When that guy turned around and was melting! I was like WTF!? Then everyone else melted! It was a 'daaaaaaamn, that's f*cked up' scene.

I know what you mean! There were ads for it but I never really got into them, was studying for my exam when I decided I needed a break for the night and left the TV on. I didnt know what it was about before that so when I saw that spoiler, I was like "Wtf is this show!?" and then I got intrigued :p

Definitely a show I'd love to keep watching; haven't had that many shows have an impact on me as this one did.

Just finished watching the first two episodes.

The opening scene in the airplane was kind of a turn-off, since it was too LOST-reminiscent. I didn't really want to watch the same show. It picked up quickly, though, taking on an identity of its own. LOST is more character-driven, while Fringe looks like it will focus more on story-telling.

I already have a few theories playing around in my head. John is working for aliens. What happened to him looked like failed invisibility. Charlie secretly pines for Olivia. And the bad guy with a twin, the one who was suffocated to death, maybe we haven't seen the last of him yet. Maybe he's only one of numerous clones. Favorite part so far was when Nina Sharp peeled off her skin and, great balls of fire, she has a cyborg arm! It was so out of the blue, in addition to looking completely fantastic.

And oh yeah, it's full of revolting, screwed up scenes. Rotting molten human flesh, fetuses violently clawing their way out their mothers, serial killers performing surgery on a conscious crying woman, eyes being forcefully plucked from their sockets, to start.

This series is very promising.

Yeah, gotta say the first scene was very awesome... I just loved the whole face melting bit. And yeah... as Sweeter said it was very "Lost-esque" with the whole plane thing but I think that was the point being the next big show by JJ Abrams after Lost. I remember reading about this show before it was released and there was a lot of speculation about it being a possible spin off of sorts to Lost. I honestly could see there being some tie in with Massive Dynamic being related to the Darma Initiative.

Anyways, gotta say the 2 hour premiere was a bit long. I didn't think it needed 2 hours to get the watcher hooked and I honestly only enjoyed the beginning and end of the first episode. But yeah anyways... the first couple episodes were alright but I definitely see the potential in it. Really looking forward to potential cases dealing with Teleportation or Telekinesis/ESP...
