Wow... Pretty surprised no one has ever made a thread for this show which is currently in its Fourth Season. For anyone who hasn't heard of the show heres a synopsis:
Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki as Dean and Sam Winchester, two brothers who travel the country looking for their missing father and battling evil spirits along the way.
Sam Winchester is a college student bound for law school, determined to escape his family's past - unlike his older brother, Dean. Ever since they were little their father has been consumed with an obsession to find the evil forces that murdered his beloved wife, and recruited his two young sons to help them. They have grown up as hunters of the supernatural. Sam escaped this way of life after high school, and now has a happy life with his girlfriend, Jessica, and a promising future career. Dean, however, stayed behind with his father to join him in his "hunting".
After Dean arrives for Sam's help when their father goes missing, Sam must join his brother to find him. His one weekend trip to search for the missing John Winchester becomes an ongoing quest after a horrible tragedy ruins any thought of a happy life for Sam.
The two brothers, bound by tragedy and blood to their mission, travel across the country encountering terrifying and dangerous forces most believe to be nothing but superstition and folklore, such as the Lady in White, the Indian beast known as the Wendigo, Phantom Travelers who cause plane crashes, Bloody Mary, and many more.
Ok... I will admit when i first saw this show a few years back I thought it would be another teeny booper show about 2 pretty boys traveling the country saving hot damsels in distress killing supernatural spirits all the while whining about how they hated their father for not being there for them enough... and admittedly, it was. The first 2 seasons basically did revolve around the brothers hunting random monsters and spirits and occasionally hunting after the "Yellowed-Eyed" Demon that killed their mother 21 years ago but my opinion of the show started to change at the end of season 2.
Season 3... Sam has been killed and Dean sells his soul to bring him back to life under the condition that Dean has just 1 year to live before the Demon's come to claim his soul. This season, the show really matures from the usual unrelated huntings of random monsters and demons of the first 2 seasons to a singular mission to save Dean's life before his contract is up. During this time they find out there is a new more powerful Demon than the "Yellow-eyed" Demon named Lilith, who likes to possess the bodies of young girls, who hold Dean's contract and the at the end of Season 3... She comes to collect with an awesome glimpse of what Hell might look like.
Season 4... Dean awakes four months later in a coffin with no recollection how he got there... His last memories are of his moments just before Lillith came to collect on his contract. He digs his way out of his coffin to find answers as to who or what pulled him out of hell...
Anyways, in the last year this has become one of my favorite shows. Season 3 was pretty damn awesome. Was just wondering if anyone else watches this great show.
