Milk Shakes or Root Beer Floats? [Archive]

A few nights ago, a friend and I were having a discussion on which is the better drink. I love Chocolate Milk Shakes, and he likes Root Beer Floats. Granted, Root Beer Floats are delicious, too, but I think nothing can beat a Chocolate Milk Shake.

So which of the two do you prefer? If you like Milk Shakes, please tell me which flavor you like, and if you like Root Beer Floats, please tell me which Root Beer you use.

Oh yeah... if you prefer neither, please share with all of us what your favorite drink is.

I'd choose the Chocolate Milk Shake. For some reason, I don't like root beer floats. But my FAVORITE drink is Boba/Bubble Tea with tapioca balls or coffee jelly. If you don't know what that is.. then...

Strawberry milkshake is the best but it is expensive. Soda is cheaper since its ingrediants r cheap. I dont get it why do we love soda? Is it the fizz or the taste. Becasue u cant really taste it with the fizz. Without fizz it doesn't feel good in our mouths. I say it is our brains. It tell wat to like wat not to like. but our brains r ourselves so this is going to be philosophical if i keep speaking so bb

Is this a poll to exclude everyone outside America? I've no idea where I could even get a root beer float here in the UK, so I'll answer for "milkshakes", please. ;)

I'd go for milkshakes because I personally don't like rootbeer (no flames please >.>). I guess I like cookies and cream (oreo?) milkshakes. I also like strawberry and chocolate milkshakes. :]
The only thing good about a rootbeer float is the vanilla icecream.

I remembered. Pearl Tea Drinks/Boba drinks (they're both the same just different names). I love the coffee boba drink. That pwns all drinks.
Even Caramel Frappacinos.

I choose root beer since I can't have chocolate or milk, also root beer floats don't have as much except for the icecream, and that I was mostly raised on the stuff.

i like root beer but ima go with milk shakes.. i dont like root beer when it floats =P .. actually the vinnilla ice cream is nasty

I don't like it when it mixes with the rootbeer. -shudder- It makes rootbeer even nastier.

i like milk shake if they make it into an alcoholic drink.
prefers with a little sweet bailey's cream on top of chocolate shake, now that is sweet. For my less sweet tooth moments, Kahlua and vodka would be fine. To add to the shake.

I LOVE root beer, and milkshakes aren't my thing since I don't like milk that much. And root beer floats have ICE CREAM! O_O. Guess which I picked >_>

I like floats but not root beer as instead of yer coke. How er ya gonna ferget about malts they taste better than shakes.

yay!chocolate milkshake!it is my favourite milkshake but for root bear floats are okay but they aren't really good for health any way i also like the bubble milk tea just like xyouxarexuglyx2(what a complicated name) and i like the blueberry flavour..hmn..wondering it has "durian' flavour.;)

I'd prefer a standard chocolate milkshake over a rootbear float. Don't get me wrong. I like both. It's just that I don't have the former anywhere near as much and it has more flavor (in my opinion).

hey..me to i kinda like sour drinks with a little sweetness in it.Lol, i always order ice-lemon tea in my favourite restoran because the milkshakes are kinda expensive there. :face82:

i have had root beer in maccas but they dont sell it in the uk nemore

I like floats better than most shakes, unless its a green mint chocolate chip ice cream shake. That is the best.

Oh, and news flash everyone who doesnt like milk or cant have it but loves ice cream.

ICE CREAM IS MADE FROM MILK! :p
