So you've found the Shiba family FC. One of Soul Society's most lively family around and known all over Seireitei and the Rukongai.
This FC is the place to discuss, talk and show your love about any member of the Shiba family.

The banner is good enough. I was also about to make a request in the request thread. So I think it would be fun to have multiple banners, perhaps we should do something with the Shibacrest.

Now about the Shiba clan
I think the role of the Shiba clan isn't done yet. They could be really powerfull allies against Aizen and the Arrancar, that is at least if Ganjyu survives Kuukaku's training

Yeah I really hope to see more of a battling Kuukaku. In the anime she proved to be very good at kidou. I'm very curious to know how she lost that right arm.

I do see some potential for Ganjyu, because he's really an inventive guy. He just have to get some serious training and he might even become a master at kidou.

As for Ganjyu's date. It would be a hot girl I guess.......hotheaded that is (like his sis). I think he would take her to some boarriding across Rukongai.

Gunjyu+swordmanship?? I don't think that would work. It's too much head to head fighting. I think of him more as a long distance fighter.

Kuukaku's right arm is missing. In te manga you only see a bandaged stomp and in the anime they have given her a wooden arm.

I think he was about to do a diversion tricks. He did the same with Yumichika, pretending to have a big trick up his sleeve, just to show some dirty escape trick.
But nevertheless, these weird tricks you speak of only strengthen my belief Ganjyu is a long distance fighter. Think of it, all of those tricks purpose was to keep Yumichika away from him and most Kidouspells are able to attack or submit an opponant without coming close to him.
For instance when Kuukaku attacked Aizen kokuzoku with Raikohou, she had to be of save distance or she would have been victim of the blast as well, due to its impact.

Speaking of Kuukaku, I wonder who trained her in the art of Kidou.

The Shiba Family insider
About the Shiba family
The Shiba clan, a noble clan of Soul Society. It’s current known members consists of the siblings Kaien, Kuukaku and Ganjyu. Shiba Kaien, the eldest, however was killed during an Hollow attack, presumably 15 to 20 years ago.
Despite being nobility, it is said that the house of Shiba has fallen, although it isn’t sure what this means in the world of Soul Society. During the (anime) fight between Shihouin Yoruichi and Soi Fong, it is indicated that a certain Bakaratsu was responsible for the Shiba Clan to fall. Though there are some speculation that says that Shiba Kaien’s death was responsible for the fall of the Shiba family. The same fight (Fong vs Shihouin) may also indicate that the house of Shiba was part of Soul Society’s four great noble family’s.
The proof for this assumption is in the dialogue where Captain Soi Fong tells Shihouin Yoruichi that if it was known that she helped the intruders, it would causes the great noble family of Shihouin to fall. She then uses the Shiba family as an example of such fallen great noble family. Despite being fallen it is possible that the Shiba family remained as one of the great four houses in Soul Society’s historybooks.

Shiba Kaien
The eldest of the three Shiba siblings. Kaien was the Vice Captain of the 13th Division and married to the 13th Division 3th seat. Due to the sickness of his Captain he often was given the daily lead of the division. Like his Captain he was caring and loving to his subordinates, be it in a odd way. He showed his love and caring in a rough way and often roughen or scold his subordinates. Still he treated them al as equals as he had no problem discipline Kuchiki Rukia, a member of the great Kuchiki house.
Kaien was also a loving husband and cared for his wife very deeply. Because of this, Kaien was infuriated when it was discovered that a shapeshifting Hollow killed his wife. He fought against the Hollow to regain is honour and his pride. A fight he lost and he eventually was killed by the hands of Kuchiki Rukia.
Shiba Kuukaku
The second born and also known as Rukongai number 1 fireworks specialist, Kuukaku is one bad ass woman. She is now the head of the Shiba family and has a horde of minions to do her bidding. Kuukaku has a strange sense of architecture and as a result has her house outside the Seireitei on an open field. Despite being tough and somewhat maniacal, she is a really generous person. She eventually agreed to help Ichigo and after his adventure ended she even spontaneously organized a farewell diner. But like her late brother she shows her affection in an odd brutal way.
Kuukaku also seems an expert in the use of kidou (demon art) and even has the knowledge to invent her own. It is possible she has lost her right arm due to experimenting on her own kidou.
Shiba Ganjyu
The youngest of three, Ganjyu is the ugliest of the bunch. His looks is even completed with misfit behaviour. Nevertheless he had no hesitation to accompany Ichigo on his journey (or perhaps it is because he was even more afraid to tell no to his big sister). Ganjyu had a real issue against shinigami as it was a shinigami that killed his big brother. It was this reason he disliked Ichigo on site, because of his Shinigami robes. He eventually got along with Ichigo and even displayed sincere worries over him. Offcourse as Shiba as he is, he never showed his concerns openly. As another Shiba oddity, Ganjyu likes to ride on a boar and affectionate calls his boar Bonnie.
Kidoupowers
The current Shiba family members, display some unique and powerful kidouspells. Kuukaku invented the spiritron cannon and even Ganjyu possesses some weird sand kidouspells.
Kuukaku however is the strongest (of the two) in using kidou. She can easily chant a number 63 spell as shown against the traitor Aizen. She is currently also training Ganjyu to become stronger as she feels that he was total useless in the second half of Ichigo’s adventure.
Speculations
It is speculated that Kurosaki Isshin is a runaway Shiba family member. He has the same strange way of showing affection to the ones he cares about and even has a small similarity with Ganjyu in looks. Ichigo on the other hand resembles Kaien a great deal. Some even go as far that Ichigo is the incarnation of Kaien.
If Kurosaki Isshin is a member of Shiba, it is possible he was the one responsible for the house of Shiba to fall and fled to change his name into Kurosaki Isshin and eventually started a family in Karakura town.

Perhaps your right on the spoiler part, BUT it is in the speculations part and this means that it has no official basis. Neither in the manga and neither in the anime.
The main source for the speculations part are the discussions here on the Club Bleach. It's just something people are guessing, which means it doesn't have to be correct or be the truth.
Kurosaki Isshin doesn't have to be a Shiba it's just a wild guess of several other people, just like Ichigo being the incarnation of Kaien due to their similar looks. It's all a wild guess.

As for Kidouspell 63 Raikoho. I never wrote that it is the strongest spell the Shiba have. I only wrote that Kuukaku is the strongest of the two, the two being Kuukaku and Ganjyu. Kidouspell 63 is just an example of Kuukaku being stronger than Ganjyu.

The reason I made it a family FC is so that there is enough room for every fan, be it a Kaien, Kuukaku or even Ganjyu. People can still join even if he/she hates one of them, they just don't have to talk about that particular character.
A family FC also makes it easier to talk about common Shiba stuff, such like wether or not they are a great noble or what the meaning of their family crest are.
Well I do hope you wanna join, but please if you wanna talk about a Kuukaku only FC, don't do it here or make one yourself.

It's interesting that in your fanfic Isshin is the older brother of Kaien, Kuukaku etc, I have always thought off a different relationship between Isshin and the siblings.

Also, nowhere is it suggested that the Bakaratsu family had anything to do with it. I believe Soi Fong's words were 'other than Bakaratsu of the Shihou family, I can't recall any other disgraces to the honourable families.'

Well I expected this comment sooner or later the reason for the Bakaratsu thing is because of this.
I don't know if you listen to the Japanese dialogue or just read the fansubs. I believe you've used the Dattebayo fansubs in your post.
In the episode Yoruichi vs Fon Dattebayo indeed translate the sentence as : "other than Bakaratsu of the Shihou Family". BUT if you listen carefully to the dialogue you hear the name of Shiba instead of Shihou. So therefore I think Dattebayo made an typo in that sentence (it explains why they wrote Shihou insted of Shihouin). So I personally think it should have been translated as :..."other than Bakaratsu of the Shiba family.
Just check the episode again and listen carefully at the dialogue. I've did it several times just to make sure of my assumptions, which is backed more with the translation of the anime.

As for the Kaien disgrace. It's an assumption made on this forum in several topics (don't which one anymore though it's been a while)
