Hey, I gots a question for you guys...

Well, I was surfing thru the desktops thread (http://www.forums.bleachportal.net/forum/showthread.php?t=4652&page=1&pp=10), and noticed quite a few people had screens at a higher resolution.

I've looked around the net (probably not looking in the right places), and I can't say I've found any anime desktops at my resolution, 1680x1050...so anyone know any sites that might have them? Perhaps something Bleach, Naruto, or FMA, but I'll take just about anything anime right now XD ... thanks for any answers.

Try find a wallpaper bigger than your current resolution. Then make it auto-stretch. Your resolution is not really supported in terms of wallpaper. Is it widescreen?

Yah, it's a widescreen, 20" LCD...

Well, back on topic, I know there's not really much wallpaper for this size display for anything, let alone anime, I was just curious if anyone had a similar monitor or anything. I couldn't find anything larger than my resolution*, but i found a few 1280x1024 images that don't look that bad when stretched (including a cool bankai one, and alucard from hellsing) that I'm setting my compy to cycle through, changing every 15 minutes.

Thanks for reminding me about the stretch option though DragonBlade, I dunno why but it completely slipped my mind. ^^;

*I lied...I found one larger image, but it was meant for a dual screen layout (2560x1024), and looked just odd when I streched it, due to the width.

Yeah, I've checked there, they've got one of the best collections of anime wallpapers I've seen, but they're all either 1024x768 or 800x600, neither of which really looks great after being stretched to fit my screen.

all in all, if you can use photoshop, i suggest adding a border to cover the wide parts that really do not match.
The advantage, if all your icons are on the left, you have an extra space where you can see the wall on the whole without b*tchy icons blocking them.
Make an empty canvas and fill it with the color of your choice, then put the wall in.
Preferably high res so you need not stretch it.
Otherwise, u can always try dev art, or Minitokyo

Use a program called UltraMon. There you can stretch any image without any quality loss.
