I really think his greatest ability is not in his power of being a captain or his obvious skill in battle...but more of his laid back not wanting to fight attitude. I always thought and still believe that's the marking of a truely powerful man. He could have clearly destroyed Sado and maybe even given Old Man Yama a run for his money while teamed up, but in the end, he only fights when he has to.

On a completely seperate note...does anyone have a manga or anime image of his cloak in all of it's flowerly entirity?

I really like his "why fight? Let's have sake together instead" attitude =) And he's not fighting despite knowing that he'll definitely win Sado and can get it over with quickly. Do you guys think Shunsui will fight ruthlessly one day? The only reason I see him doing that is if Ukitake or Nanao gets killed/really badly injured

"how the hell did you figure that out?!?!" of course playing Clue while plastered wasn't exactly one of Matsu's strength's, it was however one of Shinsui's.... now that he had gotten that game out his system he went back to looking for his dear Nanao-chan.... he turned to ask Matsumoto if she would come and help him but she was already unconscious...

after giving hitsugayah the book(and staring at matsumotos assets),hitsugayah,finally gave up,saying that it was too difficult,but he knoew someone who could help...

Ukitake? yes Ukitake... although he may seem like a dork sometimes he is still able to decipher such things... with his amazing white hair and uber sickness (which still hasn't killed him) so off Ukitake went to decipher the love poems... while Shinsui bothered him, in his drunken state, by telling stories of all the good times he had with Nanao-chan... Ukitake was unpleased of course but still tried as best as he could to decipher while being haggled by his drunkard friend...

Shinsui was so excited!!! so who took her?! and why?! and where is she?!?! but the only thing the poems said was where she was being held... hmm... not much but still something Shinsui could work with...
