Driving is a wonderful thing.... mobility at its best. Congrats on getting closer, and to sump for getting his license. Watch out for the idiots... I almost got clipped a couple days ago. >_<

whats the test like elsewhere in the world?

In Britain you have to drive for about an hour with an instructor, attempt two of three manouvers (parrallel park, three point turn, reverse to left). You are allowed 15 minors (not checking mirrors, speed etc) and only two for each specific section (speed 3 times and your out type thing). You aren't allowed a major or a dangerous and beforehand you must be able to read a registration from 20 metres and know where the water, brake fluid etc are.

mine was revoked...i crashed the car, paid insurance, hurt my friend, almost broke his arm and me got stabbed on the stomach as well by a shard of glass...

Ah the greatness of the driver's license. Never had a wreck *knocks on wood*, but have had about 6 tickets in 2 years because of expired tags.
