Firstly, for you "search is your friend"-whore i did just that and found squat - which means you may beat me with the wet end of a donkey if you find a thread answering my question :P

Anyways, yeah my problem is this:

for a while now when i reply to a post or make a new post, it (for some reason) takes ages to load the next page with the post i am replying to or making a new post to. But it's not just this forum, its any forum i visit. It also effects the "change signature", preview signature and preview post pages as well. Now there is only two things i can think of that is affecting the rate at which the page loads...

1) The fact i am using a router - but the ports for access to the internet are all already preset to 80 (which is internet access port) and doesnt affect me surfing any other pages.

2) My ISP is being arsey - But i've posted from my sisters computer who also has the same isp, BB service and a router and her's loads forum reply's quickly like it should do.

If there is no solution to this then i am happy to carry on with the way it is... just means i can go make a cuppa while it loads :P

But on the other hand i would like to rectify the problem... So if anyone has any ideas what-so-ever i love to hear them. ^_^

How long does it exactly take for you to post here? For me it takes 1-5 seconds :) unless CB is lagging badly.

About 2 minutes (yes i timed it :P ) But it shud be like u 1-5 secods coz i'm on 2Mb BB. Im also using Firefox as my default browser but ive never used to have this problem.....before i finish this reply i ll check I.E. as thats the only other browser i have on this poota.....

*CHECKS OTHER BROWSER*

ACK! wouldn't ya know it... I.E. loads it perfectly... which would suggest it's my FireFox Browser setting correct? Or does Firefox have known problems like im having with it?

*Anticipates "Use I.E. instead then"* :P I.E. blows tbh :P

Did you edit your firefox advance settings? Like using tons of multiple connections which is not recommended :p. I'm using FireFox btw.

Nope i havent touched the settings since i reformatted and re-installed windows. Im using version: 1.0.7 if that helps also here is what my advanced options that are set:

Accessabilty:
Move system caret with focus/selection changes - unticked
Use Find As You Type - unticked

Browser
Resize large images to fit in browser window - ticked
Use autoscrolling - ticked
use smooth scrolling - ticked

Tabbed Browsing
*Set to "a new tab in the most recent window"*
Hide the tab bar when only one website is open - ticked
Select new tabes opened from links - unticked
Select new tabs opened from bookmarks or history - ticked
Warn when closing multiple tabs - ticked

Software Update
Periodically check for updates to: Firefox and My Extentions - ticked

Security

Certificates
Client Certificate Selection - set to "Select Automatically*
*Manage Certificates+Manage Security Devices has been left untouched since install*

Validation
*CRL has been left untouched since install*
*OCSP is set to "Do not use OCSP for certificate Validation"*

If you can check your advanced settings to mine and compare to see if there is anything different so i can try out some changes. Come to think of it, the first version i had was like 1.04 or summut and never had probs like this. So there might be a setting thats enabled that slowing it down that was never set before.
