Blasted thingies that won't disappear

I can't figure out to get these right angle line thingies off the document on Word. Does anyone know how to make them disappear? I've been trying and trying, and I'm really picky and everytime i see them they drive me bOlistic!

I think its a problem with your border settings. Go to format and pick borders and shading. Then pick on page borders (you'll see it above on the poped up window) there you will find a little preview of your page with several buttons to its left and below it. Click those so that they are bulging out and not in. Accept the changes and you're done. Good luck!
