depends on the reason behind suicide
if it is to save someone else, that is a very honorable decision

Whatever reason it is I do not think that suicide is forgiveable.
uhm ramen isn't that heroism what you are talking about I mean sacrificing yourself isn't the same thing with suicide.

Actually, you're wrong. Suicide is getting in a situation where there is a 99% change that you'll get killed by your own choice...no matter how good the reason. Technically jumping in front of a car to push a kid out of the way would have the same result as randomly jumping in front of a car because you lost your job.
The first example is 'right', and the last example is 'wrong', but that's my opinion.

Suicide as defined by dictionary.com is the act or an instance of intentionally killing oneself.
the debatable part is intentional, does he intentionally want to die, or does he intentionally put himself in a position of death
suicide is an etchy topic, you may say that those who commit suicide are cowards, but since you have not and cannot be in their shoes you do not feel their pain.

Who sais they havn't?
Suicide is alright... It's their life, let them do what they want with it. Or do you really want them to continue living a life of constant pain and agony?
Sidenote: Committing suicide to save someone is their choice too. What's wrong with sacrificing yourself to save someone?

suicide is defined as killing yourself..which i think means, "Going out with the intention to kill ones self", so if you run out in the hopes of accomplishing something and surviving, even if the chances of survival are .01%, i dont believe it's suicide.
As for if suicide is forgivable..i dont really think that's the right question to be asking >_< People go out assuming it's the better decision than whatever they believe is their alternative~ it's disappointing when people commit suicide, because they cause pain to those who were close to them, and one more possible opponent for me in Halo 2 on xbox live (lol). I dont approve of it, but i wont hate a person who commits suicide.

pain is relative. what strikes you as painless may cause endless suffering to others. no two people experience the same thing

agreed, unless the person intends to die, it is not suicide
