The one that stands out the most was when I accidentally found Level 7 in the Legend of Zelda after many weeks of searching. That, and knocking out Mike Tyson was pretty sweet, too.

Oooh... me had the most pleasant surprise when i finally managed to make a series of jumps to catch hold of the farside wall so i can escape the deadly fog that will melt Raziel in Legacy of Kain :Defiance (Eidos Interactive)

And that chapter where using Raziel, I finally defeated Kain, who is so damn fast and damn tough!

When I first beat Halo 2 on Legendary on all the levels in a row (after like a few weeks later and like a thousand tries), it felt good for a moment till I got beat badly online during Big Beam battle, 100-40 Kills (my team was terrible).

Oh, were to begin....top 5 are, in no order
1: beating the fo shizzle out of emerald weapon, FF7: that big green dickanius(you can't ban me if it's in latin! take that, grammar!) resulted in many a night slowly weeping whilst sacrificing several small children to the dark god haded for the secret to beat him. I knew about Game FAQ, but this was more fun. And i think those little punks broke my front window, i just couldn't prove it.....(several refrences to a certain webcomic there. a cookie to the good sir/madam who says so)

2-fighting "the End", metal gear solid 3-Such a brilliant boss fight. Starting of, scoping the place with your rifle as you crawl through the grass, using your thermal goggles to see his heat, or the microphone to hear him snoring. Hearing a rustleing, drawing your gun, finding a deer looking at you. Looking for footprints, then loosing him just when you think you've got him. And just when you think it's safe to run around-BANG!-out of no where, a snipr fires. you hear him taunt you. You look around in a panic, see a lens flare, lining up the shot. You inhale, and squeeze the trigger.
Beautiful.

-Winning your first huge battle, Medievil: total war- The feeling of satisfaction at beating an army of 5000 baying Frenchman is simply immense. watching your little guys fighting it out, taking hits, then slowly advance across the screen, leaving a trail of little broken bodies behind them-just great. In fact, just killing those damn (censored for blatant atack on frenchman) is enough to make anyones day.
NOTE: the above is a joke. I apologise to any french readers who read this and then surrendered to me.
NOTE: I jest. I have a dark(read: bad) sense of humour
3: Dr. salvador/bella sisters: resident evil 4-Sweet jumping jesus. Anyone that has played capcoms masterpoce can tell you bout this. Nothing-NOTHING-is scarier to hear than that "BRUUUUM thwump thwump thrump BRUUM BRUUUUUUUM thrump thrump" when they are near. Tought to kill and with a one hit kill chainsaw that chops your head right off, the art is not in what they do, but how they do it. As in, with a sack over their heads, screaming, running full pelt and with lots of blood. And wait till you see the giant, double-bladed chainsaw wielding versions......
ANOTHER NOTE: I tell a lie, the regenerator is much scarier. but does HE have a chainsaw? or a doctorate? I think NOT!
4: Flying a plane for the first time-GTA san andreas-Oh hell yes. that is your first thought when you see the jet lying innocently on the run way. Cooler than the Fonzie in a fridge, and quite a bit faster, nothing beats blasting over Las Venturas in a jet, singing along to Guns N Roses, looking at the aproaching buildings- HOLY FREAKING FECK WHERE DID THEY COME FR-"BOOOOOOOOOOOM!"

In diablo when i finally got to level 99 with my sorc which was like 2 years ago.

After i beat Emerald,Ruby,ultimate in under an hour. without cheating by popping the lid of the ps1 to regain hp >_>.

Defeating Sephiroth in KH at lvl 67(hard as hell).

Beating half the teams in CS with my old cs clan called n3g

Nah, man. It's all good. If you have stories, well, that's what this thread is here for. Matter of fact, your post triggered another great moment, so here I go:

In Chrono Cross, I was in a battle with Dario. I think I took him a little too early, 'cause he was hitting all of us for some crazy damage. Compared to his hits, we were pretty much slapping him on the hand. This was pretty much a four man fight, as Riddel went down quick. Our only offensive threat was Serge, Glenn, some long ranged attacker, and another person I designated as the healer. We kept on slapping Dario for about twenty minutes. Then, I made a mistake, and our healer went down. That long-ranged attacker went down next. Glenn fell soon afterward. So Serge and Dario traded blows for another five minutes. I swear, I was down to my last atttack, 'cause I knew Dario was going to get me with the next hit. I had around 50 HP left. So guess what? Next attack hits... and Dario falls.

Oh, I was pretty happy. The last time I was running around screaming like that was when the Oakland A's made it to the playoffs in 1996.

The best moment for me was when i beat Metroid Prime on GCN. Finally, Samus took off her helmet i and i could get to see her face.

The other is in Legend of Zelda:Ocarina of Time, at the end, where all the sages gave link there power and link sealed ganon away.

Well its more comical then anything. But it was two weeks ago my friends and I were playing Halo 2 on Burial Mounds. It was a pretty intense battle. My friend and I were tired for first with one kill left to go. So I find one of my other friends and I start hawking him down. We go down the hill and out of nowhere to my left comes a guy and runs me down and the guy I was tied with jumps in and steals my kill. We laughed at that for hours. It was one of thoes things you had to be there in order for it to be funny. Thought I'd share it.

When I went out from links house in kokiri forest and saw the place WOHA it as like the best graphics I evver seen and I loved every bit of it. I didn't understand how it worked (I had only had my n64 in ½year and only played SM64) but it felt like that was the best thing I evver experienced. I even now think it was.

the ending of metal gear solid 3, made me cry on the third replay, the sotry of the boss is so sad, and the overall game was just sublime

unlocking every single bit out of super smash brother melee, i played that inumerable hours and i never got tired of it, the best multiplayer game of all time for me.

unlocking the handcannon in RE 4, it took me a few days of hardwork and practice, especially getting the final mercenary mission with hunk ><, but i was proud of myself when i accomplished it, one of the funest weapons for me to wield.

the entire time i played the first fire emblem was fantastic. all ten times. i couldnt have been more addictive to that game, the battle system was perfect to me, and the story and graphics were great for a GBA game.

now that is nice. my favorite moment was when i first played Kingdom Hearts. it's was like 1 in the morning, all the lights were out, it was pitchblack except for the light of the screen. and having to make those choices in the beginning. man was i nervous! it was all dark and ominous music was playing. it was great. still gives me the chills just thinking about it.

my moment would be when i finally beat ozma in final fantasy 9, at first i thought actually reaching ozma was difficult and i versed him straight away, he did away with my whole group with his first attack meteor did like 8000 damage to all my dudes. I spend the next 2 weeks training to fight him obtaining ultimate weapons good armour and blowing all my money at the auctions to buy dark matters, when i finally defeated him, i felt i was on the top of the world!

In no particular order:

1. When I played Nethack for the first time in ages, the first time I found a fountain and drank from it I summoned a water demon or w/e who gave me a wish. I was really startled and just wished for "Armor" and got a blessed scalemail or something..

2. When I played Fear.. Well, it was awesome all the time ! ^^

3. When I kicked everyone's asses with my Legionaries (Praetorians? Cant remember) in Civilization IV

4. At Natural Selection, when I was alien and my whole team went Gorge(Builder alien) and we rushed the marines :D

5. The first time I played Guild Wars, I was so amazed... The pre-sear Ascalon is so nice looking. (I bought it a day or two after it came to stores, and I still enjoy the game!)

6. I was playing Doom 3, and I tought I had cleared a room, but suddenly a imp came behind and clawed me.. I was really close to curse out loud heh.. That happened a lot when I played Doom 3, too.

7. Dawn of War intro. 'Nuff said.

I managed to beat the Elite 4 on Pokemon Blue on Gameboy. Back then I was a Pokemon fan (Yes I know it sounds lame, now I can't even stand watching the animation for one second)

When I got Quake 4, I started hunting down the Strogg (The enemies in the game) like crazy. That was a fine moment.

When I defeated my friends during a LAN game of Command & Conquer Red Alert 2. I started gloating.

i just keep playing and playing that game, its just so awesome. the tactical decisions, unexpected turns in battle, getting pwned big time or just to almost instakill monsters.

oh and playing final fantasy 8 and being overpowered just after getting ragnarok. level 100 on all characters haha... :/

The end of Kingdom Hearts 2 is pretty cool when you finally kick Xemnas' ass after about 5 tries of him reviving himself in different forms! :p

So I managed to get to Cosmo Canyon on FF7 and tried to take on the boss but everytime I would get beat, it took me about a month of constant try to finally kick his ass, I was so happy that day. XD

When I beat my first rpg, my first Final Fantasy, FFVII. After I beat the game, I turned it off and turned on the TV, and guess what I saw, first channel?

The Olympics were on, and they were having the medal ceremony! Fireworks were being shot off and dramatic orchestral music was playing and it felt like they weren't rewarding the Olympic athletes but rather me, for beating the game! What are the odds?

Also, I spent the night at a friends house once. We were playing Street Fighter 3rd Strike, and both our fave chars are Ryu. We'd go back and forth with other characters, but every time we both picked Ryu, it would end in a Double K.O. This happened exactly 6 times in a row.

original call of duty. last mission on russian campaign where you officially take over Berlin, climbing up all the stairs until you get to the top of the building and place the russian flag on the building. that part made it really cinematic and i almost shed a tear b/c of that.
