Well, I joined a couple of days ago, and i think this is an awesome forum, but there is one think that bugs me. Some of my or other people's threads get closed because they was a similar thread in the past. Now there is nothing wrong with that, but how are new guys like me supposed to know which threads were already discussed?

I don't really mind if a thread that is made gets closed, but atleast put a link when you close it, that way we can atleast get redirected to the thread that was similar.

I experience that alot when I join forums too. I just go back through and reply to alot of threads and get a good look at what has and hasn't been talked about

Same here. Especially when it's such a large forum it's hard to be original with threads.
By the way, that's a great Christian sig.

...you could just use the search function and it would solve your problems.

That would be nice, but keeping places like this running in an orderly fashion is probably enough work without having to post everytime a duplicate thread is created.

thank you for pointing that out.
I've been here long enough to know that it's too time consuming to redirect every time a duplicate thread is made. Now that I'm an admin, I have other more pressing matters like restructuring the forum, so time is tighter. Speaking as a fellow user, I'm just going to ask that everyone please do their best to look through the forums before posting, and also to really look around and make sure they are posting in the right spot.

i think u should ask them if the thread u made was already made before. that's what i did when i made my first thread...

the only problem is that some users arent all that cooperative, so even if we act nicer, sometimes nothing changes. therefore we act indifferently, basing moves solely on what is just.
