This is a story I have written for almost a year. The first chapter will be posted while the others will be uploaded. Microsoft Word or WordPad will be needed to open them. But that's not a problem is it? :toocool: Positive Feedback Appreciated!

We were in a battlefield, but it felt more of a wasteland. Nothing was here but emptiness. My friends, the Rose and Iron Knights, were helping me fight the Nightmare Oni in this, the Final Battle. All of us put up our best strength to defeat the Nightmare Oni for good, even if it cost us our very lives. In fact, I knew I would die either during or after this battle. I’m sure the others knew the same fate were to happen to them also.
“It’s time we finished this once and for all, Trinity Knights,” said the Nightmare Oni.
As far as I was concerned, he was going to be one to die by my hands. “Nightmare Oni, you know one of us will die here.” I said. “We would all prefer if it were you. Your darkness has spread far enough and now we have to end it!” I raised my sword, letting it gather my strength to attack. My sword’s energy glowed brightly as it turned into an extremely cold blaze. This was my special technique. “Frozen Blaze!” I realized that, alone, would not be enough to defeat him.
“Blaze Knight, have you forgotten? I am darkness as you are light. I am ice as you are fire. We are opposites as well as equals. I can kill you just as you can kill me. However, you cannot kill me with your feeble Frozen Blaze as I cannot kill you with my Frozen Darkness.”
“Oni, you fail to realize something,” The Rose Knight said as she stepped up. “The Blaze Knight is not alone. I, the Rose Knight, am with her!” The Rose Knight raised her whip, letting it gather her strength. Her whip’s energy turned into a bright wind. This was her special technique. “Moon’s Tears!”
“The Rose Knight is right, Oni. We all have our strengths and weaknesses alone, but together, we are much stronger than even you. I, the Iron Knight, will prove to you our strength and power!” The Iron Knight held out his spear, letting it gather his strength. His spear’s energy glowed with en electric power and the ground beneath us started to rise. This was his special technique. “Raging Titan!”
After all three attacks, the Nightmare Oni was only halfway defeated. Unfortunately, we couldn’t begin to think we were winning this battle. The Nightmare Oni can regenerate himself due to the darkness surrounding our world.
There has to be something we can do, I thought. Our attacks aren’t effective enough to defeat him in one blow. If only we had a more powerful attack. The thought just came to me. That’s it! “Everyone, let’s attack all at once. I’m not sure if it will work, but we can at least give it a shot.”
“Good idea, Blaze Knight,” said the Iron Knight. “We’ll attack from behind as you try the front.”
“Got it.” I did as he said, with my sword already ready to attack. I waited to see if the others were ready also. The Rose Knight looked as if she was ready from the start. The Iron Knight just wanted to end this battle once and for all. “Ready?”
“Yeah,” said the Rose Knight.
“Yeah,” said the Iron Knight.
“All right then. Then let’s finish this. Frozen Blaze!”
“Moon’s Tears!”
“Raging Titan!”
Even though we had all attacked together, I was still unsure how it would affect the Nightmare Oni. When the smoke cleared, we were shocked to see that only one hand, one eye, and his mouth were remaining. And they were still moving. “Blaze Knight,” yelled the Iron Knight. “Take him out now before he regenerates!”
“Right.” But before I could, the Nightmare Oni’s mouth still had enough life force to speak.
“Do you honestly think you can kill me that easily, Blaze Knight? I will send you to Hell where you belong! Then, the World of Dreams will truly be mine and there will be no one to stop me! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!”
His hand charged at me in full force. There was no way I could dodge something with that much darkness. I shut my eyes, willing to accept my death, but before I could, I heard blood splatter. I opened my eyes to find that the Rose Knight, my best friend, had taken the blow for me. I was stunned. I couldn’t even move my mouth to speak.
“Ha,” laughed the Nightmare Oni. “As you can see, you were right. One of us was going to die in this battle. Fortunately for me, it was your dear friend, the Rose Knight.”
The Iron Knight couldn’t take it. He knew I couldn’t fight at the moment, so as the Rose Knight’s body fell to the ground, he attempted to attack, but failed. The Nightmare Oni’s eye shot a laser and disintegrated the Iron Knight’s body into nothingness. I was even more shocked than before. I was also filled with anger, seeing my best friends die right before my eyes. I couldn’t take it anymore. My heart filled with sadness and vengeance. My elemental energy grew around me. Giving me the Light Wings and the Blaze Master’s Sword, my two ultimate weapons.
“You have killed for the last time. I will defeat you here and now!”
If you had seen me then, you would’ve seen how angry I was. There was no way he was going to kill me. My two best friends were gone and there was nothing I could do to stop it. Part of me felt powerless, but another part of me had more power than anyone can imagine. I was ready to avenge my friends’ death and I was NOT going to lose this battle. “Glowing Phoenix!!!”
My energy in a form of a phoenix emerged from my body and attacked the regenerated Nightmare Oni. This battle was going to be over and I knew I was going to be the victor.
After the smoke cleared, the only thing remaining on that battlefield was myself. I was weak. I had used my power gained from my life to defeat the Nightmare Oni. I had won, but that was an empty win. There was no one to share my victory with. I hated it. And to make things worse, blood started to spill from my right leg, the side of my head and my back. I had used up all of my energy and I was the only one left in that world. This didn’t seem like the World of Dreams anymore. It was more like the World of Lost Dreams…or a world where dreams finally end, but I always had a saying about dreams. “Every dream is endless. And life is like an endless dream. It never ends…It’s just…interrupted…”
I had died that day. The world was saved, but it had to start over. I guess it was my destiny to die also to allow the world to be born again. This was the Final Battle, and this was how it ended…
