Renji_Shakkahou and I were discussing shinigami's swords and how they're representative of heritage or personality. Renji's bankai outfit is very tribal and Zabimaru is personified as a baboon and snake. This lead us to consider Shamanism. The baboon is defense of the family and justice. The snake's wisdom includes various energies, such as primitive and psychic, creative power, manipulation of lightening, and transmutation.
So, this is my interpretation of Renji the Shaman. I started with a stock image (Bleach calendar) and created from there. All work was done in adobe photoshop elements.

Yay!! Finally people to stand by and defend it!! I agree with a lot of people who say that in A LOT of tribal cultures, men pretty much wear just wear a cloth around their waist like in the pic and PLUS one can't deny that it's AWESOMELY done AND there's never enough of Renji (yes I'm a Renji perv... hey a lot of girls are :P).

And I'm happy to see that guys are standing to defend it too. It's true that they wouldn't DARE complain if it were a sexy babe like Yoruichi I'm guessin!

As for the people who come to the fan creation thread to bash down a FAN art, I think that's VERY unfair and MEAN! If you don't like it, AT LEAST try not to put down the artist and her creation please!
