what is the best method to cure aids?
i think that if we gather up all those infected and quarantine them
well not only stop in the spread of aids, but also be able to eradicate it
of course there are many factors that prevent this from being perfect inclduing human rights

not only to mention that sometimes an infected person may not show signs for a long time. Even a recently infected person could take the HIV test and come out negative, but if they take the test a few months later, they'll come out positive.
Of course the major problem is that HIV (the virus that causes AIDS), like most viruses, mutates easily. That's why there's no cure for the common cold (it's cause by a virus). The worst part is HIV is a retrovirus, so it doesn't attack like the other viruses and it tends to recombine with our DNA more easily so that it can mask itself better. So when it comes to HIV, we are basically screwed. The best we can do is if u chose to have sex, to have safe sex and get tested u and your partner.
Not to alarm anyone, but scientist found a new strain of HIV recently which is spreading rather fast and there are no possible remedies for it yet. So, not to sound dorky, but it's best if people abstained from sex.

Round them all up and send them all to France! Well......... its not really a cure but France sucks.
Schoulayer, that wasn't funny.
The best method to cure AIDS? I don't know a way that is possible... Even quarantining all the people that are affected is far-fetched.

i know forum can be fun, but we got to remember to that some topics are too serious to be making silly comments. AIDS happens to be one. Zero, nice job in recognizing this.

i think schou was makin fun of france, rather than people with aids, which is ok by me =/
but back on topic
do you think itll be right for the government to mark(not physically) people with aids
like lets say they go to a doctor, and test positive. should others be notified in some way that the person is infect so that they can take precaution?

i know lots of people won't like it, but i think that might not be a bad idea. Not all infected people tell the truth about their condition. the problem would be that some people won't get tested cuz they are afraid of testing positive and everyone knowing about it.

how do you feel about mandatory annual physicals?

that would be best, but the people would get pissed. They would problably complain about violation to their civil rights, but the rest of us have a right to protect our health. so i say test everyone. i rather be safe than sorry.

the only problem with that is insurances, they will raise rates if they know you are ill
and if companies fine out about illness, they are less inclined to hire you. personally, i think companies should know about your health, it prevents other employees from gettin sick

if people are so worried about losing their jobs or insurance, they have their priorities messed up. Cuz if your health is shitty, what's the point in having nice things u won't enjoy for very long. first your health and that of the people u care about then $$$

Question. Would you like to live a short and fantastic life? Or a long and depressing life?
In this day and age, everything. And I mean everything revolves around money.

its not necessarily a bad thing
money is essental to life, it wont make you happy
but you cant be happy without it

Exactly my point, everything revolves around money. And who sais money doesn't make you happy? It will make you happy, just not forever.
Wouldn't you love to win the lottery right now? Exactly, you would love it; it would probably make you happy too!
And look at it this way, money can bring you happiness, whoever sais otherwise just didn't have enough money.. There are extremely rare cases where you will have money, and no close friends/family. While it is more common for the same thing to happen. But you have no money.
Truely, which situation will bring you more happiness? The one with money of course!
I see it as unfair that people judge money by " Well, if you have no friends or family, you would not be happy" The point is, you'd be less happy with the same circumstances and no money!

that is a little off topic.
funny thing is i am studing viruses in bio or was got 64 percent on the test (my teacher grades funny so its like a c or c-).
i think it would be cool but probably wont happen. is that we make a virus that actually attacks the hiv virus and f cks it up like stops it from sin-this-sizeing(i am sorry i can't spell) and then destroy the hiv cell from spreading but also make sure that is only attacks the hiv cell. or we need to figure out a way to make the T cell pron to the hiv virus.
