does anyone still play warcraft frozen throne, and if so what is your favourite race? and why?

For me it is orcs, their grunts although a bit expensive are so powerful in the beginning with 700HP, and also at tier 2 when raiders are incorportated they can harrass the hell out of the opponent. I love orcs becasue of their sheer power.

Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne the best RTS game for me! The story is really good. Anyway, ladders a pretty good but new map scenario's like DOTA are still keeping the game alive since its release. Hail! \m/

@devildude- Actually a human won the past WCG and are doing quite well of late. It's actually the night elves that haven't one anything big in recent months.

Oh, so that's what UMS stands for. I don't particularly like playing custom games too often, but find it a nice diversion from ladder play.

DotA's item creation crap confounds me, and that's probably the only reason I don't play it often.

I don't find the NE to be terribly powerful, especially since the NE lack melee in the first tier of play. Blademaster harass plus about 5 grunts constantly harassing is very difficult to defend for NE, since the whole objective of the Orc player is to siphon money, not destroy, using pillage.

War and Starcraft are one of my favorite games, in fact, its the only RTS game i play. Dont ask me why i like it, there's too much to say.
One of the things I treasure about these games are their editors. Back then i made some pretty nice scenarios using its World Editor, I made a whole campaign composed of 18 missions (with triggers and all. tough work, really) but it really pays off when you see the completed work.
Same thing for Warcraft's World Editor (even better) with its 3D engine, you can make your own cinematics, though you need to master the camera triggers.

One example of the power of World Editor is DOTA (defense of the ancients)
- a really hit and awesome multiplay scenario (im sure lots of you know about it)

reminds me of good old Starcraft, Hunters (updated version) was damn nice to play for a 8 side defense and battle.
damn nice.
We had so much fun busting caps and capturing bases, but it gets a bit unfair once people gang up on you.

startcraft isn't really good, i prefer warcraft better still. but i like using human there, or either protoss. but protoss is a bit hard, because they build slowly, and takes too much of those crystals.

anyway, my friend is a warcraft pro, dunno his username, he's playing DOTA.
but he can kill 3 players on his own. lol, im always scared to fight him

i don't like it when he is on my team because if someone from his team ruins his plan, then he will kill even if it's his own team.

last time my friedn was asked to buy something, not by him, and he kille dmy friend because he ruin his plan. lol

Noes.. The Gfx in SC is awesome, I love the design and everything about it.. yes, the gfx in wc3 is newer, but sc is more original and still work. In fact I think it still is beutifull. And the three team thing is just so awesome. They are sooo different and yet so well balanced. For Adun my friend!

well still warcraft is better i think, and startcraft is harder than warcarft. when you play custom game you can't make team with computer.

are you talking about warcraft or starcraft? warcraft can play wiht computer, starcraft cannot. i have starcraft normal and the expansion brood war.
brood war is better of course.

yeah that's why it is harder, in warcraft you can team up. i think the copmputer is a bit hardout they are very hard to beat.

Ne are universally known as the best race in the game. No competent player can lose as NE in teir 1 due to wells and trees. DH is exelent at creep steal...and...did I mention those fast, 145 gold spell immune, magic abolishing, slowing, and poisoning things? DRYADS ARE IMBA!

WC3 is an awesome game. My favorite race has to be the Orcs because their units are so cool. I've been watching a lot of replays and VODs (Video on Demand, basically a video of a tournament of players playing a match) and the Koreans are so insane at Warcraft and Starcraft. They are truely hardcore gamers, but they do live off a very good salary since gaming is basically a sport to the Koreans. I think CAL (CyberAtheletic League) is currently open for their 1v1 league. @devildude ne is only strong b/c in general over avg game length they require least micro. At first my win % vs them (ud) was like 37% later it became 58%. Like after you memorize timings and stuff,, they aren't so great.

Human won wcg, b/c the match up really favored we.sky. And not many participate in wcg 2005. If i recall correctly, sweet, lucifer, zacard, fov, moon, rainbow wasn't in. and grubby got his ass kicked by tod, who later got destroyed.

During that period hu was sorta weak. sky was like the only good hu player at then.
