This story will be my entry for the GM slot. OK, here it goes.
====== Rukia's True Potential ======
One day, as Rukia was walking along in Soul Society, she came across Yoruichi. Yoruichi and Rukia were talking about how it could be possible for Rukia to regain her Shinigami powers, and maybe even new powers as well. Rukia seemed kind of shy about the situation, and was sort of skeptical at first. They talked for about 30 minutes and finally decided to give it a shot.
Yoruichi was taking Rukia to the training chamber, Rukia was filled with joy and delight to see how gigantic the room was. Yoruichi decided to try to use a technique called "Ginatsua". The effect of Ginatsua is to try to retrieve a soul, for full use, unlike a gigai as a faux body for a period of time. Rukia was handed an asauchi to try and correctly do the technique.
Rukia swung the sword valiantly, and to her great surprise, she did it. What popped out was a purple sort of material, which was her soul. Yoruichi was very proud of Rukia, she knew all along that Rukia could be determined enough to her best, and achieve her first goal. But this was only the beginning....
"That's enough for today, we will begin the second part of the training tomorrow, which is attaining your soul slayer's shikai.", declared Yoruichi. The next day, Rukia gathered with Yoruichi and prepared for the training that lied ahead for her today. "To attain your shikai, there is something you must do. I need you to take your soul slayer and swing it into this mirror, it will reflect and break itself. Do not be alarmed, this is apart of it. Rukia did it, and out jumped over one thousand copies of talking soul slayers. All of them looked like her exact soul slayer.
What she had to do was defeat them all in 24 hours, or she would die. Because then, the shikais would be so overpowered, she'd be killed. That's the trick, the longer you take, the stronger the swords become. Rukia felt so worried and nervous, but she knew she had to do this, to become strong. She began fighting the weapons one by one, striking faster and harder. Rukia was extremely determined.
She fought and fought as Yoruichi closely observed. Yoruichi was concerned because Rukia hadn't been in a real body for so long, but she still felt determined in Rukia, she had to believe. Rukia fought valiantly, trying harder and harder as each second passed by. She felt as if she was near death sometimes because the weapons were becoming dangerously strong.
Rukia had killed about 623 in 18 hours, her deadline was drawing near. She had to hurry. Rukia felt so many sweats, it made her sick inside. Rukia had huge amounts of scars and wounds. Yoruichi examined Rukia closely, she could tell how badly Rukia wanted to accomplish this task. Each hour passed, the swords became stronger, but as did Rukia, she KNEW she had to do this.
Finally, after killing 1234 soul slayers, she had did it. Rukia attained shikai, she felt so much joy, but was so tired and needed to heal quickly, for the next challenge awaits, Bankai. Rukia chatted with Yoruichi as they both took a bath in the healing spring, Rukia's wounds recovered swiftly. Soon after the bath, Rukia was ready for the next challenge. The challenge was, beat Yoruichi in battle, or bankai would never be reached.
"Well, it looks like the time has come for me to unrust, eh, Rukia?", said Yoruichi. Rukia took out her shikai, Kinsakuin (Katana with crescent moon designs, it was a dark type zanpakuto.) Kinsakuin means, (Rin Blade of Cold Eclipse). Yoruichi and Rukia were both ready for battle, both weapons collided . ....WHAM!!!!!! The clash of Rukia and Yoruichi had begun! Each weapon kept pushing eachother back and back! Clash after slash, each giant blow dealt major damage to one another. Rukia was prepared to win for sure. Both Rukia and Yoruichi fell back, wore out from the devastating attacks.
Soon after that, they both clashed again, going to and fro for each attack. Suddenly, a sword flew in the air, who's weapon was it?!
It was Rukia's, but she jumped in the air extremely quickly and grabbed it, countering Yoruichi's blow. Yoruichi fell to the ground, Rukia had won. All of a sudden, Rukia felt a major power boost. She had attained bankai. Her bankai's name was Kinsikunijin, (looks like a howling wolf, crying at the crescent moon. The soul slayer's name meant Crying Wolf, Crescent Tear.)
Yoruichi was entirely proud of Rukia for achieving her goal. Rukia was so worn out, although from all of the fighting. Yoruichi congratulated Rukia, as Rukia waved goodbye, the lights faded.
