I LOVE the fact that they FINALLY!!! (cant stress this enough) FINALLY got rid of the horrible fixed camera angles from all the other RE games....the graphics rock and well I love it. Case point! .....now if only gamecube would actually make other games capable of the same graphical quality..

lol, me too. The bad and frustrating camera was supposed to make it scarier or something, but it just annoyed me. RE4 improves it a lot, and I hope they don't revert to the old camera.

RE4 pwns every other RE game out. The graphics are like, so sexy. And the gameplay rocks.

The bad: The regenerators scared me when i first encountered them. I turned the game off after i got to a save point right after that. I didn't play until someone was with me in the room afterwards.... damn regenerators...

The first time i saw the regenerator i threw a granade on him and he came back to life i was oh shit im dead and i died but then i killed him mad nice watching them pop when you shoot that spot on thier body mad nice boom they go pop the monster that freaked me out was the fish you know theres a little glitch in the game if you shoot the lake about 5 or 10 times the animol well let you know what he thinks of you

ROFL, the fish boss scared me. When i first saw the scene where he ate the cop guy in the sea, it was like, meh. Then i thought I could kill it by shooting in the water, then he jumped out and ate me. He scared me <_<.

God damn regenerators....not so hard once Thy Hand Cannon has been unlocked.
Now, mercenaries.....who else hates Dr Salvador in the waterworld level?

I do... I also hate Leon in the waterworld level. Those damn super chainsaw guys won't stop if you don't get a direct shotgun hit in their heads.... I always ended up missing, and having him cut off my head O_O

Wesker is also great, what with his sniper rifle, thrust punch and magmun. And being damn cool also helps

Lol... Krauser owns. He was the first guy in Mercenaries I got to have all 5 stars with. Wesker... I like his power punches. I mean like, the zombies go flying when you punch them xD

I beat resident evil again yesterday it was pretty long 8 hours with everything the hand cannon wasent neccecery i just used the origanel handgun and upgraded it in profesional mode the handgun is your best and should be your most used weapon

don't forget that RE 5 is coming out too so look forward to that but yeah RE 4 has got to be one of the better RE's out there. No zombies maybe the game a blast.

I'm on the final part of the first level, but I'm not too pleased about having to fight Dr. Salvador at all, I've been dreading it for quite a while, really. Still, in spite of this, it's an absolutely stunning game visually, and I'm very grateful about the over-the-shoulder camera angle, compared to the fixed angles used in the other Resident Evil games.

Poor Leon. He never had the best of luck, did he?

And it's hilarious to see him die in so many delightfuly horrific ways. It's almost worth dying just to see the death scenes.

It was his first mission to rescue her, so maybe it wasn't technically his fault, it may have happened before he was assigned to protect her.

I actually think the exact opposite of the death scenes, as gory as they are, Leon is my favorite Resident Evil character, and I don't actually like seeing him die. I must be the only person who actually says sorry to the poor chap when he gets hurt or dies.

Meh, i never got to play resi 2, so im not as attached to him. but i admit he is kinda cool.
I suppose the death scenes have an "ouch" factor to em, but with my good friend Al K'hol, it becomes a maaaaaagical experience!
In fact, generaly anything becomes funny when you have beer. I'm still banned from several churches, mind you, but I swear those squirels were looking at my funny.....

El Salavador is easy. You just got to be quick. What you do is this. You open the door leading ouside and stop there. On your left, you should be able to see his head sticking out. Bring out the rifle, aim and shoot him in the head. While he is down, two guys will come out from that direction. Kill them quickly. By this time, Salvador should be up again. Just keeping aiming and shooting him in the head. If you should miss, quickly (and I mean QUICKLY) switch to the shotgun and blow him down. Repeat and you should win.

the hardest boss in this game is clearly Salazar biody guard or whatever the hell that thing is the guy in the cloak thats stands next to salazar when you see him for the first time hes hard the otheres are cake

It's not that he's hard: just intimidating. Who wouldn't be scared of a screaming hillbily mouthing spanish profanities at you whilst charging full pelt with a chainsaw?
Anyone that says no is either lying or stupid....ot both^^
And yeah, the bodyguard is hard the first time. If you have the HandCannon however.......
I hated the Garrador's....they were a ***** to kill without any grenades.

Do you mean the P.R.L. 412? (http://www.geocities.com/resuomeksi14/p59.jpg) It's a laser that gets rid of the parasite in the Ganados' heads. Apparently, it's available for free during the second play-through after you complete Professional mode. It also seems to be a huge weapon, and slow to load, but it's a life-saver according to some people I know, especially if Leon gets cornered by a large group of enemies.

Haha, there are quite a few nifty add-ons to the Playstation 2 version, like the extra Ada assignments, and the like. But I think the best of them all, is Leon's mafia outfit (http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y232/Lycidias/mediumAnimePaperscans_Resident-Evil.jpg). It just oozes cool, and he tilts his hat if you hit reload with the Chicago Typewriter equipped.

I gots to get me that hat....when he tosses it in the air and catches it when you reload 3 times with the typewriter....joy. I like the seperate ways mode too, especialy the bit with the battleship

I think it is just fun. What is scary for me though is one thing. I fought a regenerator for the first time and I blew that thing to pieces. But it kept growing back. Eventually I ran out of ammo and it preceded to eat my alive. I think that is scary.

my honest to goodness only scariest moment in the game was during the beginning after id freed the dog an went to that second or third stage, was when id entered a cabin/shed an a women chocked me from my blind spot scared the shit out of me!!! when i mean shit i mean i shited my pants. it was my first time playing re4 an i was really on the edge of my seat holding my feet against my chest expecting some thing to pop out any moment, i was nervous an paranoid i even regret buying re4 after i was scared half to death, i told my self i should've gotten Shadow of the Collouses.

It's not as "boo!" scary, but the atmosphere is. The bit where a ganando jumps out of a god damn cooker is scary, but walking around the sewers with no ammo, then finding the invisible insects is scarier

Ok, i finaly completed this game after months of putting it down then picking it back up again and... WOW!

Resi 4 has to be one of the best games iv ever played. The only downside to it as far as i see is it left me wanting more afterwords but thats only a testiment as to how great the game play actualy is. I supose the extras will take care of that though.

Back when i was a kid i used to play Resident Evil 1 with my dad (i always had to play it with him, otherwise i couldn't get past your first encounter with a zombie without shutting it off, tehee ) then after my parents split i never realy played it again. Later on as i got older i tried to play outbreak and loved it (except for the dodgey camera angles) until i found out it was seperite senarios instead of one great storyline (which is my main factor in deciding if a game is good or not)

Disuaded by that i never realy picked up Resi 4 until finaly i couldn't bear my friends going on and on about how grear it was any longer. When i first got it i found the controls too different (never realy trying to pick them up) and when i entered the town at the start i just kept getting slaughtered. That along with how i thought the storyline was incredibly shallow; Presidents daughter gets kidnaped, invinsible agent of some unknown military group is sent out, bang bang, shoot some people, kill a boss, save daughter, game over... Made me put the game down for about a month and concentrate on completing my other games.

But when the day came when Resi 4 was the only game i had that i hadnt beat i decided id may aswell pick it up again and get some enjoyment out of it before i traded it in. Starting again i actualy tried to pick up the controls and suceeded. Then as i got to the town part again i ran inside a house for cover and realised i could baracade the doors and windows. From the point on, grinning as i stood on the roof of a building shooting granados, laughing at their feeble attempts at retrieving ladders ect, i was hooked! Only falling in love with the story more as i discovered the many plot twists, and how the game just kept going, defeating one boss and thinking i was near end game only to discover i was not even half way.

Although the end boss was a letdown, i found the boss near half way with the blue trench coat (I forget his name) to be alot harder, but still a great game non the less.

No words can describe the greatness of this game and i only pray that Capcom release more like it in the near future. :headbang:

Not to impressive i know, as i know i could have done better for sure, but i spose its ok for a first round, along with the fact that i thought Salazar was the last boss and sold my rifle to purchase upgrades for my weapons, only to find out about the regenerators and not have a rifle to use the special scope on and having to waste all my ammo blasting them in randoms spots, hoping i was hitting the parasites :sad:

But anyway my most used weapon had to be the Red9 with a stock, headshots gallor :musak:

haha the regenerators didnt scare me that much, although yes i admit they are the scariest thing in the game, but i think it was intended that way.

I mean iv seen so many horror movies in my time, that as soon as i walked into the laboritory an saw the one lying on the table/bed, i knew he was gonna get up, so much so that i smashed the glass and proceeded to waste half my ammo firing it into the body :LOL:

Scariest moments in the game are walkin into a dark room and hearing that freaky Regenerator wail *winces*

this game is so easy its not even funny and then when u get the typewriter u kill guys like they were nothing but by using the typewriter my accuracy went down so much becuz i just went on shooting sprees shooting everything i saw.
