Anyone here played/plays Nethack?
I have been playing ADOM for a while, got bored it and now I'm playing Nethack.. Really, what a great game!
(I play the Slash'em variant tough, wich adds a lot stuff to Nethack, like necromancers! :p: )
To those of you who dont know (Gasp!); Nethack is a roguelike game, that has great depth and gameplay, but it's graphics only consist of marks (ASCII) or simple tiles.
Nethack comes with both ASCII and tiles, and I must say that after a bit playing I prefer ASCII!
Dont know why, the tiles just.. Meh.
I've run into many hilarious events in this game..
Once, I was wandering around and found a door that was locked, well I started kicking it down like I allways do, and to my great suprise behind the door was a shop and one angry shopkeeper:
"How dare you break my door!"
He yells and kills me in one hit.. Ah crap. (I was quite low level)
My favourite classes are Wizard and Necromancer :redbiggri
The others are pretty boring to me..
You can get Nethack from here:
