License or Permit

I made a post like this over at narutomania, and was curious about the people over here. I have my permit, and hopefully before the next school year I'll get my license. :toocool:

I started out with a crappy honda accord 89.. for like a year! omg it sucked.. and it didnt have any bumper up front.. geez so ghetto. :sad:

Finally a month ago I got my new car :D not my ideal car but a new car nonetheless. I got a 2005 camry. 2 door cars insurance are too high so rents woudlnt let me get like a celica or smtin .___.

I have a "Learners" Licence which means I can drive if I have a fully licenced driver int he passenger seat. Soon I will get my restricted which means I can't have passengers unless I have a fully licenced driver, and a year down the road from when I get that, I will get my Full.

Really I should have had my full in November of 2003, but I am lazy. VEEERY lazy.

It's not a different system, I think most states use it now, it's GDL, or Graduated Drivers Licencing. I think it's a standard used in most states these days, so yeah, when you get your Probation Licence, after nine months some restrictions get dropped, and when you turn 19, at least in my state, you get your full drivers licence. I think it's supposed to help young drivers make wiser decisions, because I know, and mabey you know that young drivers aren't exactly the smartest people in the world. It's not a "retarded system", it's just the way things work. It's also less complicated than people think.
