OH MAN. This is my favorite arcade game!

Sakura, Strider, and switched the third quite a bit bwteen the different marvel guys (Shuma Gorath and Juggernaut were my favorites).

Man, I used to love this game, so much fast paced fun. The only problem was the damn terrible music and lack of endings. Capcom needs to put another game as crazy cool as this, and add in Dante and some more RE and darkstalker guys. The Capcom vs SNK branch seems dry in comparison (which is weird cuz i love SNKs fighters)

I loved this game for a long time i started playing it since it came out for the dreamcast =) and then i have the ps2 version still nice with a few extra features and my team is Amingo the mexican cactus Captain Commando and Strider Hiryu wipped mad ass with that team and Shinraco strider doesent have an anime he had an old sega genisus game though.

I Love this game, but I spent the longest time looking for it.
It was near impossible to find this game preowned or otherwise for under $55
Got lucky and found for only 18.

My favorite team is Spider-man,Jin and Ryu/strider i usually switch up my 3rd

I got a 200+ hit linked-super combo with Ryu, Megman, and Ironman in this game. I was like, "Wow, did that actually happen?" The only disspointing thing is that you couldn't use Onslaught.

Yeah, this game was good. Though I'm not too big in fighting games (And I suck at it too) I thought this game was entertaining.

I liked Akuma, Jin, Strider, Captain Commando and War Machine.

I'm a big fan of fighting games in general. The only thing that disappointed me in this game was the music.

My favourite characters are Gambit, Charlie and Captain Commando. I occassionally switch Captain Commando for Ken when I don't feel like obliterating my opponent.

THe dreamcast's d-pad was kinda sharp. and i'd used to play that game so much, my left thumb would turn very sore

dunno why, but one was bone claw and the other was adimantium claw. I dont follow the story line too much, but at one point, Logan had all the metal stripped from his body. For some reason, Marvel felt it was important to include both as different characters

Hayato is the blue plasma sword guy, who's the lead character in Capcom's Star Gladiator (PSX) and Plasma Sword (DC).

Wolverine did indeed have his adamantium stripped by Magneto, and thus had bone claws. The two characters are nearly identical, except Bone Claw Wolverine has the Air Tornado Claw to finish off air combos, and has less special and super moves than the Adamantium Wolverine.

My teams:
1: Strider Hiryu, Sentinel, Dr. Doom
2: Magneto, Cable, Sentinel
3: Spider-Man, Bone Claw Wolverine, Cyclops
4: Strider Hiryu, Hayato, Dr. Doom

This game is fun, but in high level play, utterly broken when it comes to balance. Magneto (Air dashes, air super combos, and triangle jumping hell), Cable (Can we say INSTANT, no delay super that can be linked into with the same super over and over again? How about the easiest character to guard crush with?), Sentinel (Eat projectile and ranged tactics from the Devil himself), Dr. Doom (Chip damage, ahoy!), Strider Hiryu (I can combo anything), Psylocke (Speed that kills) in just about any team cannot lose.

Marvel characters own Capcom when it comes to tiers. Still fun though.

yeah love this game, played it since it came out on dreamcast, and i just played it in the arcade 2 weeks ago. my team is Bone Claw Wolverine, Cable and either Sentinel or Spiderman, depending on the situation

however, this game's Magneto and Storm is abit overpowered

ahh magneto i loved doing the 64 hit combo and cable super is mad beast you can do the guard brake when one charecter dies and before the othere comes out then do the beam special keep connecting it till their dead pretty cheeasy but affective

I suck horribly at this game, but my little brother kicks some ass. He has won a number of smaller tournaments. Next time i see him i'll ask him his team.

I still own him in Soul Calibur though.

He has hard to setup combos, and takes more damage than any other Shoto. Reason enough to go with Ken, who can combo two (sometimes three) supers in a row in the corner.

Marvel VS Capcom 2 was an amazing game. I don't really remember my exact team but I think I usually used...

problem is this game is broken, cable, storm, sentinel, and mags are better then everybody, so much so they slaughter them.

Watch some pro street fighter vids, it's nuts.

Auto and Turbo. I don't remember how high my highest combo was but it was up there.

its not a bad combo...I've been pretty effective with it, although I'm experimenting who to have 3rd.

I have a question...I was playing the arcade version and whats the best tactic for beating Abyss Stage 2? I can easily burn through stage 1, and I know I can beat stage 3 if I have more health. Stage 2 just drains me.

yea, I think they stopped making copies of this game, thats why its still expensive and relatively hard to find. It's also one of my favorite fighting games.
