ive never pre-order a game in my life for every game that i wanted they were available. do you pay extra to pre-order or is like pay some then pay rest later once it comes out?

umm when you pre order a game you get something special with it sometimes and you pay 5$ and when it comes out they hold it for you that day and you get $5 of the purchase price and when i preorderd it they took 20% of the limited addition guide for me

I head from a buddy, if you wait a little closer to the release date, Square might include something extra for anyone to preorder. Usually its something cheesy like a poster or something, but tales of legendia had a whole art book with a reservation. This buddy works at my local game store, so i'm gonna wait just a bit before i do preorder

Preordering:
Pro: Free Layaway
You can put as much or as little down untill the game comes out. Then, that balance is put toward the cost of the game. It alot easier to spen $5 a week for 1 1/2 months than $50 at once

You reserve a copy
If the game is very popular, there is a (small) chance that everyone in your town will buy all the copies on release date, leaving you without. If you reserve, then the store will save one copy for you, even if the rest are sold out.

Deals and freebies.
Sometimes you get free stuff for reserving. Other times, you might get a deal (eg Save 50% on the stragety guide)

Personally, unless you live in an Amish community, i doubt that KH2 will sell out everywhere. So you'd be fairly safe waiting untill the release date
