The cosplayer looks pretty good. Ukitake is a hard character to cosplay because of his hair color and its length. But this person fits in perfectly. He's even got the 'Ukitake look' on him.

Wow, this is one of the most convincing cosplayers I've ever seen. He actually looks the part. His zanpaku-to is also pretty close to the real deal. He just needs another and the red attachment. Hmm, I wonder why the hilt looks so shabby when the blade itself looks good.

Mmm.. I'm starting to think that the sword didn't look like that when it was taken.
-IMO it looks like he's leaning on a wall, but he's actually not. If you look closely you can see that there was some cutting done on his back.
-The red grip seems to be pixelized (I'm thinking digi colored in) whereas the middle part of the sword does not.
-The second sword in the left hand is maybe an inch thick, and on the other sword it looks pretty flat and sharp, different from it's twin sword.
-the black seems to be of one shade only and it should probably go from black to a tid bit light at least.
So am I alone on thinking that the sword is fake? Or does anybody else kinda see what I'm seeing too

I can agree with you that the handle and the back part of him is most likely fake, (because it is) with the blade of the sword I think it WAS like that before but not as... bold.
