s/w? i used adobe photoshop cs, which is completely new to me, typically i use illustrator, but i felt like experimenting. it is why i can tell you there are 416 shape layers in this picture.

wow 416 shape layers. I don't know if the results are the same,but if you ever want to have just have layers instead of shape layers then use the pen tool then right click and go to selection, then fill with the color. I have to say though, I like this pic of yoruichi better then the one before :) Very nice work and very shiny too

Never used shape layers but great work :). 416 sounds pretty insane and I like the bright colors!

I have to say though, I like this pic of yoruichi better then the one before :) Very nice work and very shiny too

unfortunately that makes it raster ^^ it's along the same lines of how i digitally ink, except i stroke the path instead of filling it. but nah if i want to avoid all those layers, next time i'll being going back to my adobe illustrator ^_^ it's much better for vectoring.


and for someone else (gosh i dunno who right now) it's not really that she can turn into a horse. i am a MLP artist. which means when i get the idea in my head to do it, i turn fave characters into ponies. often these pictures are sweeter than your valentines day candy.

not yet not yet. i've a few idea's tho ^^ the tricky part is deciding a symbol, or as int he case of yoruichi here how to put clothes on to hide a symbol O.o

Did you sketch it out first and scan then vector, or did you just vector it straight offf without using anything to trace?

Either way its amazing and demonstrates massive patience (my sotw vector only took about 90 shape layers =) )

well i did do a sketch first, but my first versionw as raster and i have problems drawing straight out ont eh computer in raster. but yeh i had that outline for this. typically my vectors start out on the computer...i have a ychiru (non-pony) in the works, if i ever get back to it O.o

i make money with pony thingies, and i grew up with them, so yeh i like them, a lot^^ my mane (harr harr, it's a pun!!! mane=horses hair on head, being used as main) fursona is a MLP name PonyPony as seen in my sig and avatar
