These are my works....I still have not really posted them in the FF.net, not because I am ashamed of my work....but rather I REALLY DON'T HAVE A PROPER TITLE to the stories. I still am thinking about what suitable title this story should have. Plus.....it's not really in a proper order.....I write as my muses directed me and then I have to rewrite again few earlier chapters so that it can complement the later ones. Man, the story is really a mess:sad:
Btw, the main character here is Orihime. So, these who dislike/hate Orihime .....please do not read since it would contain fluffy and sweet stuffs that probably have you retching because Orihime is the perfect heroine/character with everyone caring about her (INCLUDING ICHIGO). You think I am going to not write IchigoxOrihime, don't you??
And yeah, since I am going to post my fanfics.....I am able to double/triple/quarter/infinite post here as much as I like. They have a limit number of characters allowed in each post.
An alternate version from chapter 213.....
“Don’t run, Poochi-san, you might get hit by—“ yelled suddenly the oranged-hair girl in her sleep. “Are?” asked Inoue Orihime when she found herself under a blanket. Kurosaki Ichigo was snoring, half-curled, half-sit by her side. “Kurosaki-kun?”
“You’re awake,” a voice said suddenly. She turned and saw the short childlike tenth division shinigami captain sitting crosslegged near the wall, his lap cushioning his lieutenant’s head. “He was worried for you,” said Hitsugaya, looking outside to see the outside view in the morning sun.
“Where is Kuchiki-san and Renji-kun?” Orihime asked, as she tried to get out from the bed without waking Ichigo.
“Rukia is fine, she went off to Ichigo’s house to—Baka, you should stay still in your bed,” said the captain, raising his voice when he saw the orange-haired ryoka falled ceremoniously while trying to get up from the bed. Luckily the substitute shinigami did not stir from his sleep despite her movement.
“Why am I so weak?” asked Orihime herself as she tried to stand up with her two legs, but her whole body especially her two legs were dead tired. Suddenly a pair of hands took her through the armpits and helped her up to the bed. “Toshirou-kun?” Orihime asked when she saw herself staring at a pair of sharp green eyes. For a small body and a person who had just recovered from serious injuries, he sure could carry and lift her up.
“You almost lose your life when you tried to heal me, Rukia, Renji and Matsumoto. And forget about healing Ichigo now. Your health is more important than his.”
“I nearly died?” Orihime asked, disbelieving what she just heard from the captain’s mouth.
He nodded. It was a written rule for any Fourth Division member except Captain Unohona to only limit healing only three people. “You almost didn’t make it if Matsumoto didn’t stepped in and transfer her spiritual energy to you. Ichigo also helped. Apparently you respond well to his energy only.”So rest, and get your own strength back,” he said, awkwardly gentle.
“I’m sorry,” murmured Orihime softly when she looked by her side Ichigo sleeping.
“Sorry for what?” asked Hitsugaya suddenly. He was about to take his position near the window when he heard her clearly and was confusedly with her wanting to apologize.
“For not being strong,” she answered slowly. The shinigami captain could see tears falling from her closed eyes. “For not being able to do anything except watched you guys battled out the arrancars.yourself. At first I wanted tohelp out, give my shield support to Matsumoto and you, but I couldn’t because Matsumoto’s gigai stopped me. But….but as I watched you guys fighting, I realized that I could do nothing to help you guys, no Tsubaki no Santen Keshun…I am so weak.”
“That’s why you decide to go all out to heal us…even at the expense of your own life?” guessed Hitsugaya impatiently annoyed.
She nodded, “It’s the only thing I can do best, and I want to do it badly. I want to very much heal the hurts and pains that you guys got. At the end, even this also I failed,” she cried quietly..
“Stop it! You are going to wake Ichigo up,” hissed Hitsugaya, roughly shaking her shoulders. He was very irritated with her, “I order you to stop crying ,” he said harshly, feeling helpless whenever girls cry especially Momo “or I …I …will make you cry again but for another reason.” His expression softened when he saw the girl stared at him with large red puffy eyes, sniffling. “You shouldn’t be too hard on yourself. Not everyone can do all the things well at the same time. Those who can fight couldn’t heal and those who can heal cannot fight. Each has his own task and ability.” He flicked his finger hard against the ryoka’s forehead, in an unusual friendly manner that was not his style. “What you did was wrong, pushing yourself to the limit of your healing abilities. What happened if you died, Matsumoto couldn’t save you? What would happen to your family and friends left behind? Would it be unfair to them if you give up everything, your life for their lives, so that you could protect them?”
“I wanted to protect Kurosaki-kun,” she began.
“Don’t be stupid! Kurosaki Ichigo would never forgive himself if you throw your life just for him,” the shortl white-haired boy snapped angrily at the taller orange-haired girl, shocking her. “He wanted to protect his family and friends, didn’t he? Why don’t you let him do what he want to do, protect you?! He would be happy that way.”
“Because I am not the one,” Orihime answered sharply, tears formingin her eyes again. Hitsugaya bewildered. “I am nobody. am not his family, I’m not Kuchiki-san who is able to make him happy and regain his confidence.”
His right eye twitched.hard, as he asked Inoue back to her face, “Idiot, who are you to decide Ichigo’s friends, enemies and special people?” Having no answer, Captain Hitsugaya sighed heavily, “I shouldn’t be talking about this. Usually it’s Vice-Captain Matsumoto who does this heart-to-heart talk,” he paused, staring at the orange-haired girl, still crying a little despite feeling weak “if you care so much for Kurosaki Ichigo, you should try and live up for him. You shouldn’t throw your life easily for him. It would not be an easy life for him if you do that. That boy was worried sick when you suddenly fainted and stopped breathing.”
“Captain Hitsugaya?” the blonde-orange haired shinigami woke up sleepily asking for her little captain. “There you are, Captain,” said Rangiku as she stretched out her sore legs and hands. “Orihime, you feel better?” she asked, smiling kindly to the ryoka girl who healed herself and others to the limit. “That was dangerous, Orihime….you should learn to stop before you go overboard,” Matsumoto replied, stroking Orihime’s long fine hair.
“She doesn’t need a second lecture, Matsumoto,” Hitsugaya told his lieutenant.
But I haven’t tell her what happened when she fainted. What Ichi--”
His hand grabbed her arm as he dragged her out of the room, “Knowing you, you would just put add things to make the story juicy.”
“Captain Hitsugaya!!” Matsumoto pretend to pout as she tried to pull back his hand and was led out.
“Shut up,” declared Hitsugaya “leave these kids alone to themselves.”
“Alone?” Rangiku giggled. “Okay,” she said, waving her hand to Orihime “Feel free to do anything without adult supervision,” she laughed. Orihime sweatdropped.
“Matsumoto!!” Hitsugaya growled angrily “They are young kids.”
“Just like you, captain.”teased the shinigami girl.
“Why you,” began Hitsugaya furiously “such insolent remark--”
Orihime smiled as he heard Hitsugaya scowled with Matsumoto relentlessly in the next room while his subordinate took in stride.about it. She looked down at him, her orange-haired crush shinigami and smiled. He slept peacefully, devoid of any unhappy, helpless and pain feelings. “Kurosaki-kun,” she whispered to herself, unable to resist combing his hair with her hand. This was her first time, she was close enough to reach out to him tenderly.
“Inoue?” Ichigo asked, stirred up when he felt someone playing with his hair.
“Are you alright?” he asked, rubbing his eyes to ward of his sleepiness.
“Hai,” Orihime nodded with a small smile on her face. She always thought her secret crush was cute in everything he did. Even now when he wake up from sleep and yawned.
“I am glad,” he said with a smile that was unusual to her. She nodded but said nothing about it. He still was affected by yesterday’s incident, losing in a fight and Rukia ended up, gutted.
“I am sorry,” they both blurted out simultaneously. They stared at each other for a while, puzzled that each wanted to apologize to the other. “For what?” Inoue Orihime asked bravely, regaining her voice first.
“You still haven’t recovered from your injuries. I shouldn’t have asked you to try and heal Rukia….you nearly died of overexhaustion….I should have gotten help from my father,”
“It’s okay, Kurosaki-kun,” she interrupted him from going further beating himself. “I want to. Don’t apologize, it’s not your fault. ” She added silently, ‘For you I would do anything.’
.Ichigo smiled. “I knew you would say that, Inoue. Why do I feel the sense of déjà vu?” he asked gently. Feeling his stare, she blushed and looked down. “Inoue, what are you sorry for?” asked Ichigo in return.
.
“Because, Kurosaki-kun, I was not…not able to make you happy like Kuchiki-san….not able to cheer you up when you were so down,” she said timidly. “I could heal Kuchiki-san, but I couldn’t do anything for your wounded pride and heart.”
“Inoue,” Ichigo began, a bit loss at what he wanted to say to her first. “I …promised to you that I would become stronger, didn’t I?” She nodded her head “that I would become stronger so that I can protect you—“
“And Rukia,” she added, softly “your sisters, Chad…everyone,”
“Yeah,” he agreed, nodding his head slowly. “but I failed. I failed to keep up my oath to you…I failed to protect my loved ones with my strength.”
She felt crushed when she hear him admited it. “Kurosaki-kun,” she reached her hand to his chin and lifted it. The orange-haired shinigami looked up and saw kindness and understanding in her eyes, “It’s quite normal,.people tend to either win or lose in any battle. If losing this one or two fights make you like that, what then would it be to me? I always lose against anyone shinigamis or hollows.”
“Inoue,” he felt uneased, seeing her tears.
“But that shouldn’t pull me down. I would still keep on fighting and training,” she continued, sniffing her tears. “I would not give up easily because I still have people to protect. And even if I lose out, until I die, I will not give up and try again, try improving myself so that I can protect finally,” she said with determination in her voice.
Ichigo looked at her strangely. “Inoue, I never knew you could be very wise. Where did you get these profound truths?”
“From Kenpachi-san!!” she answered, shaking her fist in the air. She really learnt a lot about perseverance from the Eleventh Division Shinigami Captain during the time she ride with him on his back. “Does this make you feel better?” she inquired timidly.
The orange-haired substitute shinigami sweatdropped at her startling gesture but quickly regained his senses and smiled. “Yeah. Arigatou, Inoue,” he said, giving her a sudden hug. “Thank you for everything.”
She was stiffen first, surprised by his action, but slowly returned him the hug. “I am happy,” she said softly to herself, savouring the smell and the warmth of his body. Yes, Kurosaki-kun was smilling his normal cute self again.
Suki da.
Who says it's going to be only IchigoxInoue?? It's all about Orihime, and I like to try and pair her with Hitsugaya, Aizen, and Ishida, other than with Ichigo. Well, not at least with this story.....I think. But other story I will. Orihime is too innocent, sweet and nice to reject and say no to everyone. My greatest challenge would be to make Aizen truly desire her the way Naraku desire Kikyou(my another fav character).
Continuation...."Hitsugaya's Food Adventure!!".....Don't worry, Orihime would not deliberately want to harm tortoise. Thanks Sakura_Valentine for helping me this portion
“LET’S EAT!!” cried the two blond hair girls simultaneously breaking their chopsticks apart before digging in. The other person was not really enthusiastic like them.
“Orihime, you cooked noodles instead of rice?”
“Yes, to celebrate our victory, I thought of making special noodle. I cooked them with black pepper, sugar and curry powder with yellow corns.”
The other girl hesitated, as she picked up the noodle strands for a closer look “It…looks very strange.” She ate and chewed the noodles slowly. Her superior officer looked up to his face and waited for her comment. “It’s soft, chewy and hot but there is a little sweet aftertaste.”
“So, it’s good?” Orihime asked, anticipated with hope.
“Certainly better than tasteless rice and noodles,” assured Rangiku, the Shinigami Tenth Division’s Lieutenant. The Tenth Division Captain thought otherwise though he had yet to make the first move. “Ooh, spring onions and black mushrooms cooked with ginger…nice.”
Orihime felt relieved after hearing her. “Arigatou, Rangiku-san. Try this, my favourite,
sweet-sour cucumber, onions pickle with fermented cabbage, it’s good,” Inoue said, pushing forward the vegetable dish. ‘That’s cucumber?’ Hitsugaya looked hard at the food Rangiku was holding with her chopsticks.
“Delicious, delicious,” mouthed the other blond girl, nodding after eating it. “What is this, Orihime?” she asked, pointing her chopsticks to an odd-shape fried food. “Is it fried meat—“
“That is friend chickens’ rear end. I got them free from the market when they wanted to throw it away. Try dipping it with rice vinegar sauce and mayonnaise,” Orihime suggested.
“Is it?” Rangiku asked, dipping the fried bite carefully on the sauce before swallowing it. She was not aware that her captain’s face changed color. “Nice, crunchy, and blends well with the sauce too.”
“Toshirou-kun?”
Captain Hitsugaya Toshirou turned and looked up at Inoue Orihime who was staring at him with concern. “Inoue-san…”
“Do you like my food?” she asked cautiously. “If you don’t like, I could order a take-out.”
“Captain Hitsugaya,” Rangiku admonished him. “We’re living in her house and eating at her expenses.
Hitsugaya sighed. He was reluctant to either eat Inoue’s unique dinner food or stay hungry again like he did yesterday. And the day before yesterday.
“I suppose I would try the soup,” said the captain cautiously, finally giving in to the pressure of the other two. Hitsugaya stammered when he saw the soup content, “What…what is this??” There was a tortoise shell in the big pot of soup. “Inoue-san,”
She looked apologetic. “This afternoon Mrs. Fujii came to the house and gave a pot of tortoise soup to me. I couldn’t say no to her at all, she’s so nice neighbor.”
“Nice,” said Rangiku after tasting the soup.
After hearing Inoue’s explanation and seeing Rangiku enjoying herself with the tortoise soup, Hitsugaya Toshirou was stunned for a moment. After a while the captain regained his senses and composure before getting up from the dinner table. “I am sorry. I’m not hungry anymore.”
*******************
“Toshirou-kun?” the boy hrmphed and turn to the other side of the futon when he heard her calling his name. “Toshirou-kun?” she repeated cautiously, not wanting to wake Rangiku up from her sleep. “Toshirou-kun, Toshirou-kun,” she said his name softly, tugging his shirt. “Captain Hitsugaya!” she finally called him by his rank as a last resort.
“What?” Hitsugaya snapped at her, venting his frustration for trying to sleep with an empty stomach.
“Ssshh,” she kept one finger on her lips. “Follow me,” she asked him, crawling carefully across the room to avoid making noise.
Rolling his eyes, the boy went across the rooms in only three strides with his shinigami powers. “What do you want Inoue-san?” he asked clearly and straight to the point when he saw Orihime was staring in amazement at his ability to move without a noise.
The orange-haired girl blushed at his stare but took out a square carton box for him. “Here, you can eat this. Don’t worry, it’s not poisonous, harmful or weird,”
“What is this?”
“Vegetarian pizza,” said Orihime. “I know you are hungry and angry with me for cooking weird stuffs, so I ordered a vegetarian pizza for you.”
“Pizza?” Hitsugaya reiterated; the word ‘pizza’ was foreign to his mouth. He opened up the box and saw a big round thing with sliced vegetables and sauces on it. “A cake?” he asked, hesitated a little before giving in to his hunger. Taking a slice from the ‘cake’ he took a bite. “Very nice,” he said to her.
“Really?” she asked brightly, relieved that the shorter boy was finally eating something.
“Yeah,” he nodded, munching his pizza slice before offering the others to her. She smiled and gladly accepted it. “Thanks, Inoue-san,” he said sincerely.
“You are welcome, Toshirou-kun,” she chirped before nibbled her pizza. They ate in silence, well at least he was the silent one, she was humming herself while they ate.
“I think I’ll go and work as a waitress,” she suddenly announced to him willfully “Then we’ll have free pizzas every night.”
Hitsugaya kept his face straight when he heard this. “Is there any vacancy there? The place you are going to work?” He did not want her to go all out for his sake.
“Yeah,” she scrunched her nose trying to recall the advertisement she saw on the roadside. “Why do you ask, Toshirou-kun?” she inquired politely. Her face changed with a realization, “Masaka, you are not planning to work there, are you Toshirou-kun?”
“Maybe,” said Hitsugaya cryptically as he munched the pizza. Inoue looked at the white-haired boy questioningly but decided not to press further. He might look like a small boy, but he was smart enough to decide his own. After all he was the shinigami captain.
********
His right eye twitched very hard when he heard them laughing their butt off. “Shut up!” he hissed to Abarai Renji and Madarame Ikkaku. “Or else, I will bankai you all back to Soul Society where you will serve hundred years imprisonment for insulting your captain.”
“Sorry, Toushirou,” Renji said, wiping his tears after laughing so hard “but you look very cute in that kangaroo costume suit,” the red-haired boy broke into another laugh.
“Yeah, captain,” said Ikkaku, grinning like a madman fool who loves to fight. “You look adorable with your cute tails and whiskers and…what a long tail!”
Sighing, the smaller boy decided to exact his revenge at that moment. There was no customers around and his boss went out for meetings.
“Toshirou-kun?” Inoue Orihime asked when she peered out the door. She too had worn an animal costume for her job as a waitress. A large sweat drop form as she saw a short kangaroo beating the hell out of the poor two boys, kicking and jumping on them and lashing them with his long tail.
I am so happy!!! I think I almost finished ten percent of the story.....or was it eight percent of the story?? I still got a lot of things to write and cover up in this Bleach alternate version.
I guess I am going to write and edit the storyline and the characters of the story to make sure I won't stumble into the potholes. A lot of storyline, anime and legendary famous myths had been incorporated to form this big story. See if you could recognize this from any anime / famous myths.

Story.....chapter 1
Teach me sadness......
"If you closed your eyes, you won't gaze into sadness."
"If you forget the feeling of warmth, you won't feel pain."
I can't recall that gentle voice
In the depths of my mourning heart.
Someone is calling me from my forgetten past,
Asking me when I will take sorrow into my hands again.
At this moment that will never come twice,
You are all I can see.
Shinkai No Kodoku (GSD)
“Damn,” muttered the orange-haired boy as he splashed his face along the lake side. He had reached another dead-end. His wondered why did he offered himself to do this mountain task. He was not a soldier or a warrior; just a farmer tending his father’ small plot of land and a few cows. Why couldn’t he just step aside and let the other villagers especially Abarai Renji to search for the rain witch? As far as he knew stories from his late mother, if existed, the witch would had live very old or would have died long already “No,” Ichigo shook his head, keeping off the negative thoughts to himself. There was no way he was going to give up easily and lose his dignity to Abarai Renji or Ishida Uryuu for that matter. Besides, the rainwater was more important to him more than ever. The water reserve was slowly drying off and very soon there was no more water for the family to drink.
“Guess I will camp here for the night,” the orange-haired farm boy stretched and moved his stiff arms after putting down his knapsack on the floor. He had decided to rest here. The waterfall and the lake was very tempting to the man who had walked under the hot sun. He could just dipped himself in the lake at the waterfall and catch fish for dinner. The water was cold and tempting. He could just lay dipped himself into the lake for a while and catch some fishes for meal.
‘This is heaven’ he thought as he wallowed in the lake near the waterfall. There was not much of noise except the sounds of water rushing down the waterfall, windy breeze and the water was cold and refreshing. He felt like he could stay in the water forever, enjoying himself and forgetting everything that happened, his problems and mission. Holding his breath, Ichigo submerged down and closed his eyes. His mind wandered back to Kuchiki Rukia, the girl he liked very much and was now with Renji. He would do anything for Kuchiki Rukia except leaving his own family. That was why Rukia left him, because he couldn’t sell his family’s land and become a patriotic and brave soldier. She finally chose Abarai Renji, Ichigo’s childhood friend who became the vice-captain of the platoon. His face scowled. What was so good about being a soldier anyway?? You would not get anything good about being a soldier. A soldier had to depend on others to feed and cloth him. A soldier had to leave the house and family to fight and kill or be killed in foreign lands. There was nothing else in being a soldier except being admired and recognized for your valours. And you can’t buy food with just your valours only. Only hard work on your own land will provide food on the table. There was no need to worry for your countrymen when you cannot feed your own family, he thought darkly, clenching his fists.
Ichigo lost his sense of time. He soon realized that he was also short of breathing air, Quickly he rose up to the surface to get some air, but not before he bumped against something hard. ‘What the hell?’ thought Ichigo, clutching his head painfully, gasping and opening his eyes as he come to the water surface. To his surprise he saw a long orange haired girl(same as his hair but in a lighter shade) rubbing her face with her hand softly. Ichigo felt flustered. He had seen an angel, a beautiful one with a sweet and innocent smile on her face.. “Namae wa?” she asked, rubbing her face as she drew nearer to his face, her big round eyes bore into his. Only then did Ichigo realized two things, no three things. She was naked and so was he. And that she had an enormous bosom that was bouncy and soft in front of his face (and slightly pressing on his face unintentionally, of course). Light-headed and speechless, the farm boy slowly drifted into unconsciousness and sunk into the water.
Continuation......
If even the torn promises can change into vows,
Can we also change back to the two of us from the time we met at that place?
The dear faces that resemble "kindness".
.....GSD'Reason' theme
“Namae wa?” asked the small orange-hair boy, grinning as he wiped the blood and mud smear from his hands and face. He grinned at the other shy and timid girl, who was shorter than him by a few inches. He helped her by beating four boys despite their bigger size.
The short orange-haired girl looked at him with wide-eyed and mouth opened, awe and shocked at what the strange orange-haired boy had just done. Then she closed her mouth and averted her eyes away from him. “Orihime. You shouldn’t help me,” she mumbled softly, twiddling her two fingers together “You got hurt because of me.” It was a miracle that he was still standing straight despite the hard beatings and bruises he received for her.
“What?” Ichigo asked, bending to his side to try to listen to her voice. “Ara,” his eyes widened when he suddenly felt the impact of being glomped by the little girl. They both felled on their knees to the ground together. “What was going on?” he was at loss when the girl throw her arms around him and hugged him. .He looked down and saw her little body quivered. Despite her bangs covering her eyes, he could see her crying sobbing quietly. He was at a loss of what to do; his sisters never hugged and cried tears for him. And he never hugged any girls so closely before save his own mother. Slowly his small arms made way around her small waist. Ichigo realized that hugging her was nice. He felt a series of emotions, feelings and senses. There was warmth and nice, feeling to this, not only in his heart but in his whole body. A slow but certain warmth sensation growed from the orange-haired girl and resounded in every parts of his body. Very soon his body no longer feel the pain or ache. The boy touched his head. The bleeding had stop. He tried checking other areas of his body, where the bruise and injuries were. They had just disappeared.
The orange-haired girl slowly let go of him and smiled embarassedly for hugging him without warning. “Sssoorryy,” she stuttered, looking down to the ground and concentrate at his feet.
He shook his head as he did a quick check up to check any other painful bruises or wounds in his head, “Betsuni.” Finding none, Ichigo lowered his head to meet up her gaze, “You can heal people?”
She nodded her little orange-head.
“Sugoi-na!”
“Please don’t tell this to others,” the girl protested, flailling her pudgy arms at him in a kawaii manner.
“Why not?” his right eyebrow raised slightly higher.
“It’s a secret,” she said softly, playing her fingers to herself. “My brother tell me not to tell anyone my secret. Will you not tell this to anyone?” she asked him with hopeful eyes.
Kurosaki Ichigo was stunned. He always thought there would never be anyone who entrust him with a secret because they would not trust him. And this was a big secret. He was honoured. Nodding and smiling, the orange-haired boy offered a gesture handshake to the girl. “What is your name? My name is…”
“KUROSAKI ICHIGO!! WHERE ARE YOU??”
Ichigo looked a little irritated. He hated when his father called him by his name with loud, emotionally and annoying voice. Could he not be a little less irritating and less loud?
Ichigo turned to shake hands with the girl, to get her name first, the name of her first girlfriend. But to his surprise she was no longer there anymore. ‘How could she go off without me noticing it? It’s like she disappeared into thin air’ Kurosaki Ichigo asked himself, slightly angry that he let her go off easily without asking her name.
“Neh, Ichigo, what are you looking at?” asked Kurosaki Isshin jolly as he found his little son looking hard at the sunset. “I hear you got into a quarrel with some group of boys. What did they do?”
“Nothing concerns you,” his orange-haired son said rudely, turning back and stomped towards his home.
I don't know whether it's a direct / indirect continuation from the previous HitsugayaxOrihime interaction. As if Chizuru and Keigo are not enough. An old sex pervert entered into Orihime's life (Master Roshi-kind) and Hitsugaya tried to chase him away......A short one.....
“Toshirou-kun, are you sure about this?” Orihime asked, feeling a little bit guilty about it. The short white-haired boy had always walked back alone, avoiding the other male and female schoolmates who seemed to treat him differently from others. The girls in the school had been behind his back and front, whispering and giggling about how cute he looked and how they wanted to bring him to their bedroom and played with him. While the other boys gave dirty looks at him. He nodded determinedly. He offered himself to help. Apparently her best friend Tatsuki refused to involve in this matter and Kurosaki Ichigo purposely disappeared from his friends and cause Inoue to be sad. “Yes, Matsumoto cannot help you with that old man lecher. He will just cling on to Matsumoto’s breasts like he did to you. And Matsumoto can’t resist any old man making jokes about her breast.”
Orihime smiled brightly. “Rangiku-san must be really lucky to have you as her caring boss.”
“Yeah, she’s very lucky to boss me around,” the Tenth Division Shinigami Captain growled with sarcasm. He stared at the orange-haired girl who openly offered her hand to him “What are you doing Inoue-san?” he asked suspiciously.
“Aren’t you going to hold my hand, Toshirou-kun?” Orihime inquired, puzzled at his question.
“Like a boyfriend or girlfriend would?” the shorter boy asked, blushing beneath his icy glare.
She frowned slightly and shook her head, “No, like big sister and small brother.”
Hitsugaya sighed in relief when he heard that. He suddenly felt a twitching of his temple veins when he slowly mulled over what Inoue had just said. Did Inoue just hinted to him that he was short? He shook his head mentally, dismissing the thought easily. Inoue would never hurt or disrespect anyone purposely. Besides, they could easily pretended as siblings, and it would lure the sex pervert to try funny things on Inoue when her ‘smaller’ brother is around. He took her hand and was surpised at how her hand and his were of the same size and complemented with each other.
“Let’s go!” Inoue cheered loudly, unbothered with the looks others gave to them. Hitsugaya found himself smiled a little when he saw how consciously she walked to match with his walking rhythm. She was indeed a selfless one.
*************
“So your brother cooked for you bread with cheese butter eggs and onions…..and you think it’s omelette?” asked Hitsugaya Toshirou, walking hand-in-hand with Orihime. A few people passed them by; some looked and smiled warmly in their way while the others especially the younger ones smirked at the shorter boy for walking with a tall, very beautiful and voluptious body girl. Hitsugaya glared back at them in the same manner he would to hollows. Luckily for him, Orihime was too preoccupied with her late brother and food to notice her surroundings. Even now, Hitsugaya had a mental trouble, thinking the type of food Orihime had tried. His face had a slight shade of ill green. Perhaps that was the reason why he was not aware of the surroundings until he saw the enemy. Hitsugaya was tempted to go battle mode when he saw the shameless pervert, a bald man with white beard and black glasses crouching behind the bushes. He suddenly frowned at the thought of his archenemy Aizen but snickered later when he realized how Aizen would looked if he was an old non-shinigami human. Paedophile kind, he thought darkly.
He waived his hand at Orihime, sending her to buy an ice-cream. “I prefer peach flavor ice-cream,” he requested.
Orihime smiled brightly and nodded her head, “I’ll get two. Peach is my favourite too.”
Hitsugaya nodded and smiled weakly back to her and hoped very much that his food choice would not be influenced by hers. Perhaps he should stick to the usual vanilla or chocolate taste? He shook his head mentally. This was not the right time to debate about ice-cream flavors when the dirty old man is about to pounce Inoue-san again from the side.
“Ding!” Hitsugaya smirked victoriously as the old man fell being shot by his catapult. His marksmanship and attack release using catapult had not deteriorate eversince he joined Gotei-13. But his joy was short-lived when he saw the kind and gentle orange-haired girl knelt beside the fallen man. “Inoue-san,” he began. A large sweatdropped formed at his hair as he saw the pervert trying to take advantage of her by pressing her fingers against her cheeks. “That’s it,” Hitsugaya huffed and ran over to them with a bokken sword. Without a word, Hitsugaya took a strike on the sex pervert but found himself to be blocked by the man’s cane.
“Toshirou-kun,” Inoue squeaked when she saw the old bald man confronting against a short white-haired boy.
His dark glassess glinted in the light before the man easily turned around Hitsugaya’s bokken. “You’re hundred years behind me if you want to beat me with your stick, boy.”

The melodious voices of prayer,
Shines a tiny light onto the lonely fields.
I had a dream of you,
You were laughing like a child.
Familiar yet still distant, that is the future's promise.
Someday on a green morning, someday I will get there,
Because I believe in this desolate winter sky.
Fields of hope
I'm searching for those gentle hands,
That embraced me on the day I was born.
A single voice of prayer disappears,
And I start again, continuing tryingly by myself.
Someday moving towards a green morning, I will overcome the nights,
Because that is a place that I have to find alone.
For now, I just want to warm you with my chest.
'Field of Hope' .....GSD....
Kurosaki Ichigo slowly opened his eyes and found himself lying on a single bed. “Where am I?” he wondered in his hazy mind. His body was so tired and heavy and he could hardly moved. He could not really remembered what had happened to him.
“You’re awake. Yokatta.” Hearing the cheerful female voice, Ichigo turned and saw her, a long orange-haired girl standing by the door, carrying some water in a wooden bucket. “Okaeri-nasai,” she said, grinning cheerfully as she placed down the water bucket. She then touched Ichigo’s forehead and cheeks with her cool hands for any fever. “Nani?” she inquired, smilling uneasily as she noticed the stares the Ichigo was giving.
“Nothing,” he lied though he did feel his heart beat faster when she carressed his cheeks with gentle and soothing touch.
“You still have a fever though,” she frowned. “Nevermind-“
“Your hair color is orange,” he blurted out. “Not really orange, yellow…no blond…yes blond like the sun,” he offered lamely when he saw how sad she become. He really had hurt her by commenting the colour of her hair. It was unusual for people here to have orange-coloured hair. If they do they would be jeered and hunted for copying kamis in the sky. Only kamis have blond hairs and not black normal hair. That is why Ichigo kept his hair color; to show how different he was from others. But this stubborness had caused him to always pick up a fight with other kids. Most of his fights with others had always revolved around the orange color of his hair. Ichigo smirked when he remembered the incident where he defended a small timid girl and beat the hell out of the boys just because they jeered her hair and tried to cut them. There was a tinge of regret in his heart, he had forgotten how the girl had looked like. Except that she has short orange hair. “Sorry,” Ichigo apologized. “I didn’t mean it the bad way, its just that I feel glad.”
“Glad?” the girl looked at him with confused hazel eyes.
“Yeah. I am glad that I found another girl with orange, no blond-haired just like mine. And I am no longer alone with this tabboo shit of hair color.” Ichigo turned to the quiet girl and asked, “Are you alone also?”
The young lady starred at him still confused at trying to understand what he was saying. She nodded her head hesitatedly first before she shook her head a few times. Then she nodded again a few times before negating it with her head shaking fervor, “I live with my brother, he comes in and out because he got a lot of works to do. But he always tries to keep me company….only lately he’s not around me. Other people...friends.... visit me once in a while”
Ichigo chuckled at her frantic uncertain answers. “Never mind that. If you should come across anybody who thinks you are freak because your hair color is orange, tell me.” He turned and looked up at the ceiling, “I will beat the hell out of these guys.”
“Oh,” the girl hung her head down as she slowly digested what the strange man said, wanting to defend her against people for her hair. He was weird but nice. Nice as her brother; perhaps much nicer than her brother. Her brother would only smile and coax her not to cry but would not go on a rampage to anyone who hurt her. A little smile graced her face when she remembered someone doing that to her. Her first friend on earth. But certainly not her last on earth.
“Daijoubu,” she said laughing with a false cheer. “There isn’t anybody here living where I live. I no longer get bullied by anyone.”
“Nani?” Ichigo asked, surprised at the fact. “Nobody stay here?” She shook her head. “Where is this place?”
“My home,” she said simply. Ichigo stared at her disbelief. What kind of answer is that? Although he did doubt that she was the kind that pulled his legs. “If you say so,” he sighed. “What is this?” he asked inquiringly at the content of the cup she was holding for him. It looked black, murky color and it had a strange smell.
“Drink up,” she chirped as she helped the sick man up the bed. “This is far better than other methods for fever.”
“Other methods? How long have I been sick?”
“Eto,” she scrunched her nose as she recounted what happened the days before. “I think two or three days. You fainted in front of my doorsteps and nearly drown if I didn’t pull you up from the water. You had a nasty bump on your head.”
Ichigo scratched his head as he thought over what the girl said. Fainted? In front of the girl’s house? All he remembered was going to the waterfall and dipped there to cool his hot body. His eyes widened when he recalled vaguely what had happened. His eyes trailed down from her face to her front upper chest. He met her NAKED while he was bathing and her breasts were so closed to him, tender and soft…..
“Ano….there’s blood in your nose,” the orange-haired lady squeaked as she pulled out a towel to stop and clean his nose bleeding.
“Nandemonai,” Ichigo waved her hands away and wiped the blood from his nose. He never felt so hot and flushed before when it comes to any woman. Kuchiki Rukia was never even close into making him hot and horny. Ichigo frozed at the word…where did he get such word in his vocabulary. ‘But you never come across any NAKED beautiful woman did you?’ his inner self chuckled. Ichigo felt agitated. That was not true….he did once followed his friends to hotsprings and peeped at the women there. ‘But they were too old for you’ mocked inner Ichigo. ‘Besides you were just a boy back then. Now you are a young man with so much of hormones, male hormones to spare…’ Ichigo screamed to himself, ‘BACK OFF!’
“Eto,” began the orange-haired beauty, looking at him with her wide hazel innocent eyes. It pulled him off from his thoughts but now Ichigo felt weak as he realized how close her face with his. So close that any closer would lead to a kiss. And he felt drawn to make the first move..
“Drink this,” she chirped happily, pushing the cup into his lips.
Ichigo was relieved and a bit disappointed. Taking the cup, he took a gulp and nearly spit out if it was not for her.
“What is in it?” he asked harshly.
“A few bitter roots herb boiled for five hours,” she explained, “it will cool down your body and help you regain your strength within a day.” She smiled gently. “Please drink,” she requested. “I got some sweets candy to rid your bitter taste.”
Ichigo looked at her before finishing the drink with two gulps. He had no heart to refuse her request. She smiled and handed out the sweets which he took gratefully. He popped one and started sucking it hard. She sat down on the edge of the bed.
“Mister-“
“Ichigo.” He cut in, looking at her face. “Kurosaki Ichigo,” he told her, still sucking the sweet.
She nodded. “What are you doing here in Mount Taka? There isn’t any village, nobody here, unless you want to find a-“
“A legend,” he interrupted her. “A stupid legend, but I have to go and check it anyway.”
“What legend?” she asked curiously..
He leaned back his head against the wooden headboard, “Someone or someting living in the tops of Mount Taka who can make rain to come down”
“Someone or something?” it was obvious that the girl did not understand.
“Yeah, some people said it was a grumpy old witch or wizard that studied the rain. While others said that a dragon, a rain dragon lived in the mountain. That is why there are always rain in Mount Taka, ne?”
“True,”
“Eh!” Ichigo looked at her in surprise. “You know about this?”
“No!! I mean yes!! No, I mean no!!” she waved her hand frantically. Ichigo stared at her expectantly. “It is true that the rains fall over here everyday….demo, there isn’t any witch or dragon who caused to rain here. Its just that…..that there are too many clouds forming here from the sea.” Her voice become softer when she saw how disappointed the blond guy was. She felt bad, “Gomen nasai, I do not know you need the rainwater so bad.”
“More than you ever think!” Ichigo said, raising his voice at her. She sat stunned by his actions and anger. “You don’t know how much we need the water to survive. Kuso!! Without water, everything will disappear. Crops will dry off, and animals and humans would also die because there is no food and water. And now they want to take my land/”
“Who?”
“The government!! Without any money to pay the tax, I will lose it all,” he said clenching his fists in anger before punching hard on the bed.
“I see,” she said softly. She could read what was going through Ichigo, a sense of frustrations hopelessness and anger. His cheeks and eyes were starting to get red and she could tell that it was not really from the fever he was suffering. “Neh, Kurosaki-kun,” she said, placing her hand on his cheek. He looked at her with a red puffy eyes. “Don’t worry, Kurosaki-kun. I am sure things will be alright soon. Hang on, neh?” she said with kindly, as she carressed his cheeks gently. “I am sure the kamis will be on your side-“ Without any warning, the orange-haired boy hugged her tightly and started to cry on her shoulders. Pearly tears fall from her eyes, as she put her arms around him and embraced him also. “Kurosaki-kun,” she said softly, as she stroke his back, comforting him and letting him to cry over her bosom. “I will be the rain you need for your land. I will connect the heaven with earth for you,” she promised.
****************
She stayed there long for an hour, hugging him and waited patiently for him to stop crying. Soon the sobbing stopped and he began to be sober. “Ne, Kurosaki-kun, suppose…suppose you meet the rain doctor or witch or rain dragon…what would you do?” she asked him.
Leaning against her embrace, Ichigo shook his head tiredly. Crying hard had taken a toil on him emotionally and physically. “I don’t know. I thought you said there is none.”
“I am just asking only,”
He sighed, “I really don’t know. I would maybe try to persuade or beg them to come to my village….if it was the dragon, I would fight with it and force it to bring rain.”
She laughed and it sounded like a melody to his ear. Ichigo smirked as he dwell deeper in her embrace, breathing her smell; it was heavenly. :I am sleepy,” he mumbled, closing her eyes. The orange-haired lady smiled as she stroke his silky and soft hair. The medicinal drug she gave him must be kicking in. “Then sleep, Kurosaki-san. Oyasumi-nasai: she said, kissing his crown lightly after putting him down on bed. ‘And sweet dreams.”
“Wait!” his hand suddenly gripped her hand, “Don’t go.”
“Nani?”
“I don’t know your name….after talking to you so long, I still don’t know your name.” he said, his eyes fluttered hard trying to fend off the drowsiness and sleepiness in his eyes.
“My name is Orihime. Inoue Orihime.Yorushiku Kurosaki-san”
“Inoue-kan?” mumbled Ichigo, half-conscious. “Please stay by my side, Inoue,” he ssid before closing his heavily eye-ladden sleep.
“Hai!” said Orihime, smiling as she waited for Ichigo holding his hand as he sleeped. Muttering a simple spell, she then formed a glowing orb above Ichigo’s head, absorbing every pain, fear, hurt and nightmares he had over these years. She stopped, shocked at a sudden revelation of Ichigo’s memory. “Souka, Kurosaki-kun,” she said, smiling to herself as she carressed Ichigo’s sleeping face tenderly. She had found him, her first long lost friend.
getting tired of walking, the rain that began to fall
I chase after the rabbit I couldn't catch
your eyes are like the clear water
breathing deep down in the ocean
call me, call me, I'm here
where can I go, to where, so that I'm satisfied?
let's go home, when tomorrow comes
will I be laughing saying that it's all ok?
call my name, call me, I'll embrace you
so close your eyes and remember those innocent times
you filled the parts I lacked in
because I was able to forget even sad feelings
I'm not afraid
Home Sweet Home......Naruto
“GOOD MORNING ICHIGO!!” cried Kurosaki Isshin joyfully, launching a karate kick at his unsuspecting son.
But the orange-haired boy instinctively put both his arms up and blocked his father’s leg. “Damnit old man, why must you attack your son when he is sleeping?? And you almost hit my groin!” he snarled at his father. “Do you want to see your descendents or not?”
The older man smirked, giving a nice-guy pose with thumb up sign to his son. “You have quick reflexes and counter my attack. That means you are not sick anymore. Good.”
His temple veins throbbed. “What do you mean I am sick, old man?” he frowned. His ezpression changed, when he remembered something. “Why am I here? Wasn’t I supposed to be in--”
“You mean you cannot remember?”
Ichigo looked at his father, shaking his head slowly and waited for an answer.
“We found you lying in front of the door,” explained Isshin “It’s a wonder Karin could hear someone knocking the door when it’s raining cats and dogs outside.”
“Raining?” Ichigo asked before looking out window. It was true, he could see that there was rain before; the whole place was drenched with water.
“Yeah it rained the whole night,” Isshin commented as he clapped behind Ichigo’s back;
“Looks like the land is no longer dry and barren.”
Ichigo nodded dumbly, unable to contained his relief and excitement. “Sumanan, was there anyone else beside me when you found me?” he asked suddenly, remembering her. “A girl with long orange hair, slightly shorter than me, thin-“
“Nope,” Isshin shaked his head. “Who is she? Your girlfriend-uuggh?” his face contorted in pain when his son elbowed him at his face.
“No, she’s not,”.growled Ichigo feeling annoyed by his father’s attempt to matchmake him with the girls. “Just because you married mom young, doesn’t mean I have to follow your footsteps.".
“Then who is she?” Isshin whined.
“I don’t know,” confessed Ichigo as he watched the outside view with the morning sun. Everything looked fresh and clean after the rain. He wasn’t even sure whether she existed or he dreamt of her. But he did felt that she was the one who brought hope and rain to the land.

“You want this room?” asked Arisawa Tatsuki to her potential room tenant. She felt a little bad about renting out this room to that very pretty girl. It was just a small room with one table and one lamp. And the ceiling was leaking. “I could give you a much better room downstair,” the spiky black-haired girl offered.
She shook her head vigorously and smiled widely. “No, this is fine,” There was a sparkle in her eyes and smile. “The room is perfect,”: she said “it has a balconey with a nice view outside. Neh, Tatsuki-san, let’s have tea sometimes, shall we?” she asked hopefully.
“Nice view, kah?” inquired Tatsuki stepping outside to get a good look at what Inoue Orihime saw. There was nothing to look at except Kurosaki Ichigo’s bedroom window, and she could hear the usual loud shouts and screams inside the Kurosaki family home. “I stil can’t see what she sees which is interesting,” said Tatsuki to herself, when she saw the blissful smile in Inoue’s face as she stared towards Kurosaki’s home.
A sudden disturbing thought flashed through her mind. Tatsuki watched Inoue’s face carefully. ‘Could it be that her childhood friend and rival at dojo, Kurosaki Ichigo, the rough, bad tempered farm boy brat has a girl crushing on him?’
“I’ll rent this room,” announced the long orange-haired girl to the house owner.
“Despite the leaking?” asked Tatsuki, fingering at the small puddle on the floor. “I don’t have the money now to fix the roof.”
“That’s okay, I just put a pail there to catch the water,”
“There’s no bed here. I only have beds downstair”
The long-haired beauty waved her hand, “Not a problem, I just sleep on a futton. I don’t mind, I’ll have more space for me to move anyway.”
Tatsuki tried again. “It’s quite noisy in the early morning. The Kurosa-, I mean the neighbors are a very loud bunch of people. They might disturb your sleep.”
“I don’t mind. I really like noise. I might be bored to death if there isn’t any people talking or singing in the house. Or get mad if its too quiet,” said Orihime, shuddering slightly.
“This place is dangerous for a pretty girl like you to walk alone. A lot of drunkards and sex maniacs lurked around to prey on people like you,” tried Tatsuki, all of a sudden looking serious and grave.
“Daijoubu, I am aware of this, and know how to take care of myself,” assured Orihime unaffected by Tatsuki's warning. She then showed a few karate moves she learnt from a friend.
Impressed by Orihime’s one track mind, Tatsuki made one last attempt to dissuade her. “This room’s rental for every month is eight silver coins,”
Orihime frowned to herself, “I thought the usual rental for a medium-sized room is three silvers per month?”
Tatsuki shrugged her shoulders. “It’s my call. Take it or leave it. I can use the money to fix the roof and-“
“I really don’t have that much money,” said the orange-haired girl, hung her head down. Looking at her feeling sad, Tatsuki began to feel guilty for hiking the price double. “Look here, I-“
“I’ll take it!” Tatsuki was taken by Orihime’s sudden outburst. The orange-haired girl grabbed the spiky black-haired girl by the hands and shaked her hard. “I will find a job and pay you eight silver coins for this room!” said Inoue Orihime with fiery passion.
Tatsuki sweatdropped by Inoue's sudden proclaimation. She must have some feelings for that Ichigo brat.
I've found a love that I would risk my life to keep.
I finally know why I had to live a life tainted with loneliness
Holding each other gently, as if in prayer...
I'll leave my love behind within you.
My love pours forth endlessly
for your eyes, for your skin, for your warmth.
Just whisper
that you wish the passing time would stop.
Just I wanna be with you forever. I feel you.
If you can love someone so much,
there's nothing to regret, even if you die.
I won't let you go: Cross my heart.
Cross My Heart (Ayashi No Ceres)
“Orihime! You shouldn’t act like this,” said Sora. His younger sister shook her head furiously, sobbing while hugging the orange-haired boy. ‘She cried as if he had died,’ the brown-haired god rolled his eyes. He had returned home unnoticed and found his bed occupied by someone; a young handsome man. Normally the Great Dragon Lord would sword blast off any humans who dared to cross his line, but this man was found unconscious on his bed; he could not strike humans in their time of weakness. Besides, Sora found something interesting about this man. There was something interesting about his soul.
“Onegai, aniki please don’t hurt Kurosaki-kun!” begged Orihime, looking at him with sad hopeful puffy eyes. “If there is anyone to be punished, it should be me. I know the rule gods should not mingle with humans, but ….but I brought him here because I thought it was the right thing to do.”
“Right thing to do?” Sora asked, half amused and half annoyed by her. He was not surprised; his younger sister’s had such big kind heart…always bringing in wounded animals; nearly wanted to bring a half-dead skunk. It was only a matter of time where she would drag a wounded human herself.
“Yes,” she nodded, putting herself between his brother and Ichigo. “I did this because I am a god and a god is suppose to help weaker humans in trouble.”
“He is not weak!” said Sora, raising his voice “He has the means to destroy us if we do not take actions first. Orihime stay away from him.”
“No,” she said, refusing to let Ichigo go. “Kurosaki-kun is not like that. He is a good man, a kind man who would care and protect his family and friends so much. And I am his friend. And he protected me without even knowing who I really am”
Sora looked at his sister incredulously, “Don’t tell me you have fallen for him Orihime? Celestial beings do not fall in love with humans, it’s a taboo.”
“Yes, I know that!” Orihime.cried out. Her hazel eyes closed to prevent futher tears from falling, “But I can’t help it. Kurosaki-kun is…Kurosaki-kun is the very man I looked for to love.”
“Orihime, don’t say such things like that,” said Sora harshly. He drew his sword out and pointed to her, “This is not allowed, for you to be with this man. I rather killed you—“ His hazel eyes widened when he saw her not resisting at all his sword.
Orihime bit her lips when she felt a shearing pain against her right shoulder. It was times like this she counted blessing for not being a human. Any human would bleed to death.
“Why, why did you not dodge my attack?”
“Because if I evade, Kurosaki-kun would have gotten hit. I want to protect Kurosaki-kun because I like him very much.”
Inoue Sora sighed at his sister’s stubborness. “You win, this time Orihime,”
“Arigatou, oniichan,” said Orihime grateful that her brother let him go.
“Orihime, I have decided,” said Sora, sheathing his dragon sword. He looked at his sister, his eyes unreadable. “You will marry the man of my choice by the end of next autumn, before your birthday. If you are able to get this Kurosaki-guy to love and marry you, I will give you my blessings. If not, you will marry my best friend.”
Orihime faltered, “Is it Aizen-niisama?”
Sora nodded with a smile, “Yes Aizen Sousuke.”
Another chapter of the continuation of the story....after that, it will take a while for me to continue on because I am in a dillema whether to put in IchiRuki and RenjiRuki and AizenOri and HitsuOri OR write another set of IchiOri moments I realized that writing Ichigo and Orihime getting together in an old romantic fantasy story ala 'little mermaid' ie prince falling for little mermaid without knowing he does and she too.....is very cute.
I'm glad I was born,
because I exist for you.
I live with pain
as I fight with fate
Even if you're far away,
whoever you may be with,
I have
only one wish:
your happiness
Beyond the blue sky,
are the stars that watch over you.
My feelings that shine
for you
are eternal
Inoue Orihime shuddered at her brother’s intention to marry her off to the most popular guy in tenkai, Aizen Sousuke. He was charming, polite, slow to anger, kind and gentle. Even with his glassess the male god looked very handsome indeed. But Orihime had already her heart set on one person only; and that was Kurosaki Ichigo. She never could explained fully why she liked him very much. Perhaps it was the scowl expression on his face, he looked very cute when he scowled or frowned. Or was it the part of his well-toned and built muscles and torsos she saw in him when he worked hard in the field (she did stalk him secretly).
“Hiya!!” she cried all of a sudden and knocked her head with her knuckles. “I shouldn’t, shouldn’t, think about it” she said shaking her head as she covered her face in shame, unawared that Tatsuki and other bystanders were staring at her strangely.
‘I must make Kurosaki-kun, like me before—‘ “Ooopp” someone bumped her head on and cause her to slip and fall. Trying to grab something to prevent her fall, she caught hold of the person’s arm and pulled him down also.
“Itai,” Ichigo groaned. He should have paid more attention to where he was going.
“Sumanan,” said a shy female voice below him. Looking down, Ichigo saw a girl with long orange-hair smiling cheerfully at him eventhough he was lying directly on top of her, crushing her.
“Do you think you could get off me” she requested politely with a small voice.but cheerful voice.
Ichigo nodded and tried to get off as gently as he could from this awkward situation. His hand suddenly touched something round, soft and bouncy. Ichigo’s face looked red. He dared not look at what he was pressing.
“ICHIGO!!” He looked up only to see Tatsuki looking at him dangerously before excecuting a kick. CRASHED!! The crowd clapped their hands and cheered when they saw the notorious orange-haired farmer flew off, courtesy of the Tatsuk Arisawai’s famous flying kick.
“Are you alright, Inoue?” Tatsuki asked concernedly as she helped Orihime get up. ‘There she goes again with that seventh-heaven look’ thought Tatsuki warily. Her instinct stepped in as she evasively sidestepped her former rival’s attack.
“What were you thinking Tatsuki” Ichigo demanded, clutching Tatsuki’s collar. He was infuriated that he had let himself beaten by his former rival. He had beat her before and he will beat her again.
“You are an insensitive and perverted brat,” said Tatsuki, roughly pushing his hands off her. “Grabbing Inoue’s breast like that.”
“It was an accident,” insisted Ichigo.
“Ano,” she began, catching the attention of the orange-haired man and the black-haired woman. “Kurosaki-kun isn’t really like that. It is my fault anyway.”
Ichigo stared at the girl, the girl with long orange-haired girl who stood there quietly and shyly, with her cheeks crimsom red. After a while, he pointed at her and asked, “Who are you?”
Tatsuki facevaulted.…
Part II
“Ano, Kurosaki-kun,” began Inoue Orihime, causing the named person to turn and looked at her. “You don’t have to help me fix the roof—“
“It’s okay Orihime,” Tatsuki replied, putting her hand on the other girl’s shoulder. “He’s the most suited man for this job. He can climb on anything like a monkey, swift and agile like a monkey.” She whispered conspiratorily loud to Inoue’s ear “He even acts like one also.” Hearing this, the orange-haired girl burst into small giggles. “Besides,” Tatsuki added, “he offered himself to help us seal the roof hole. Isn’t it, Ichigo-kun?”
“What a conniving b**ch,” muttered Ichigo as he struggled to balance his baggage with the girls. “Kuso,” he swore to himself, “What did he land himself into?”
***************
“Eh, me??!! Why me??!! You could have ask other people to help you,” Ichigo squirmed away from Tatsuki. “Most male I know are either too weak, sissy or are enlisted in the army where you should be in. So that leaves only you, peasant boy,” explained the black-haired girl poking her finger on her orange-haired former rival. “Besides,” Tatsuki added, with a strange glint in her eyes. Ichigo sweatdropped, “You still haven’t owe me your tab, peasant boy.”
**********************
His head hung low whenever Tatsuki reminded him of the ever increasing debts he had in her shop. ‘Kuso, when can I pay up all the money to Tatsuki?”’ he asked himself, clenching his fists. As long as he did not pay, he would always be in Tatsuki’s mercy.
“Kurosaki-kun?” he turned and saw Orihime staring at him intently.
“Do you want me to help carry somethings?” she offered reaching her hands out to him.
For a moment he stared back at her, wondering why she was so nice to him despite him being rude to her. And why she was so familiar to him. And her hair color was orange color, just like his. Perhaps, he could learn to be nice to her back. “Arigatou, Inoue-san.”
***************************
“Ichigo, are you finished up there?” yelled Tatsuki to the roof. “Hurry up, it will soon be dark.”
“Ha,” replied Ichigo, busily hammering the last roof sheet in its place.
‘It’s almost finished now,’ thought the peasant as he furiously hammered the nails to secure the patch.
“Kurosaki-kun,”
“YAAAHHH!” Ichigo gave a shout when he heard someone calling him by his name softly. “It’s you,” he sighed after seeing the orange-haired girl holding a cup of water behind him. “You gave me a fright.”
She smiled and nodded. “Here, drink this. You must be thirsty after a long work.”
“Thank you,” replied Ichigo taking the cup and guzzled the whole contents.
“How did you climb to here?” he asked Orihime. “It’s quite dangerous up here.”
She shook her pretty head and gave him a big smile. “I don’t see any danger over here. I am safe with you around with me, Kurosaki-kun.”
Ichigo nodded, “The work is done here.”
“Arigatou, Kurosaki-kun, for fixing the roof for me.”
“It’s okay. You don’t have to thank me. I did this because Tatsuki asked me to.”
“Souka,” her pretty orange head nodded.
“Are you coming?” he asked, offering his hand to her. Tatsuki would skin him alive if he lets her housemate alone by herself on the roof.
“It’s okay. I want to watch the sun set first,” she said to him “Why don’t you go first? Tatsuki has prepared some food for you.” He did the opposite. “Kurosaki-kun?”her large hazel eyes widened when she saw him taking his sitting position next to her.
“I think I’ll join you,” said Ichigo, making himself as comfortable as he could. “Hhmm, I never knew there were many colours in the sky. I always thought its always blue only,” he said to the girl next to him. “Kirei, nah.”
Orihime smiled as she watched him stared at the sunset sky. ‘I’m so happy.,’ she said to herself.
“Why?” asked Ichigo suddenly interested in her.
“Nobody really cared whether the sky was blue or red or orange. You are the first person to appreciate the colors of the sky. ,” she explained. “It’s really hard work to weave the colors of the sky,” said Orihime, slowly standing up before stretching her hands up to the sky . “Don’t you think orange is a beautiful colour?” she asked him, pointing to the orange-coloured sky.
“Inoue,” there was something fascinating about her. Perhaps it was the way she looked, the way her soft orange hair fluttered away off from her face by the gentle breeze, her oval face, her hazel eyes, her cute nose, or the way her lips curved in an angelic smile..
He quickly turned his eyes from the girl towards the sun setting. “Yes, beautiful indeed,” Ichigo agreed
ps:: To those who read and don't bother to review. Please review if you think the small poem songs are not compatible with each chapter. And anyone wish to suggest the title of the story?? I don't think anyone can.....
O-K. The name's all yours to give or take, but I still think that "Ah! My Goddess!" Sounds nice. Anyway... right now, the one thing that troubles me most is the lack of continuation. You story sorta jumps: Firsr Ichigo is in the woods and meets Orihime (not a bad way to meet, in bath), and then suddenly, they are in the city. Why? How? When? I suggest you go flash-backing a bit to explain. ^^
I don't really want Orihime to be the main focus of the show. She may be the main character, but not all the story will dwell about her. Very difficult to write Orihime, especially if her character is the goddess. Ichigo is as usual the main MALE HUMAN character. He's the main focus of the story, followed by Orihime, Aizen, Renji and others (perhaps Miyako and Kaein).
I have a crazy idea of putting Ichigo to fight with Kaein.....hehehehe. But right now, it's pure Ichi/Ori.
In the beginning, Orihime brought Ichigo into her house. Her brother found out and tried to kill Ichigo. Orihime stopped her brother and took Ichigo out from her house and runs away. She brought him back to his house and left him there for his family to find him. Ichigo wakes up, with a vague memory of what happened....and was surprised to find the whole village finally got rain. Orihime stayed and helped weave the sky (hence that's why the sky has many colorsl). She has only a year to make Ichigo fall for her willingly, or else she gets married to some other gods.
Like 'The Little Mermaid' story, don't you think?? The little mermaid saves the prince, brings him back to the surface and tries to be a human so that she can be with her prince. But with a heavy price.
Hey, Zanga!!! Glad you came in. Always wanted to tell you how much I really liked how you dismissed IchiRuki theories easily.

“What’s the matter with you?” asked Ichigo annoyed by the fact that Arisawa Tatsuki had glared at him for almost an hour. Had he been anyone else, Tatsuki would have been able to drill a big hole into his head with her glare. Still, he could not eat much with Tatsuki glaring at him.
Tatsuki folded her arms against her chest. “What did you do to Orihime? She left the moment you and Karin came in the kitchen,” she asked, accusingly. “She agreed to eat only if she shares with you.”
Ichigo was taken aback, “She did?” he inquired, looking at others. His father, as usual, slurped the soup hungrily without a word while Yuzu shrugged her shoulders and Karin showed impassiveness over the direction of the conversation. “She did say she wasn’t feeling well,” replied Ichigo, furrowing his eyebrows as he recalled what she said before leaving them in a rush.
Tatsuki bent over him, staring directly at his eyes. “You mean you can’t see what's happening?” she asked, incredulous that the seventeen year old boy was still as dumb as ever.
“See what?” snapped Ichigo feeling irritated that she was talking in riddles. “Just say it out loud.”
“She’s crying, you idiot,” Tatsuki snapped back, smacking Ichigo’s head hard with her palm. “Can’t you see? Red puffy eyes and cheeks? Sniffles??”
“She said she was sick!!” Ichigo insisted loudly, rubbing at the pain. “With a flu!!”
“She was healthy and genki before she met you at the back of the house.”
“Ichi-nii.” Ichigo looked at the younger black-haired sister, who was coolly drinking from her cup.
“Tatsu-neechan is right. Something make her cry, but I don’t think it was oniichan.”
“See?” Ichigo said to Tatsuki, smirking “I didn’t do anything to make her cry.”
“B***ard,” Tatsuki muttered low enough for only Ichigo to hear.
“But what made her cry?” Ichigo asked himself. It bothered him to see people crying, especially girls he cared about. He was beginning to see Inoue as one of his friends, though not so close.
“Who knows?” said Tatsuki, getting up. “Perhaps you should ask her. I'm going.”
“Wait up, Tatsuki, let me walk you home.”
“Its okay. It’s just across your house,” the spiky black-haired girl rejected his offer.
“Just let me accompany you to your doorsteps, D4mnit!” said Ichigo, glaring.
Tatsuki glared back at him. For a moment, the two locked in the contest before Tatsuki gave up. “Okay,” Tatsuki deciding to let Ichigo do whatever he wants. She knew Ichigo well enough to understand that he was one stubborn a55 when he wanted to be. The orange-haired lad smiled before opening the door for her.

“You want us to WHAT??” Tsubaki yelled at his clueless mistress.
Orihime stood there blinking her eyes before repeating what she just said. “I'd like you guys to help make umbrellas,” she ordered her little magical fairies which hid inside her weaving spindel pin. “Please?” she asked politely.
“Making umbrella, paper umbrella is not a problem,” began Shonou, scratching her chin thoughtfully, as she thought of way to get the point across to her mistress..
“We weave colorful cloth with complicated patterns,” Ayame spoke as a matter of factly.
“But to do 200 umbrellas?” asked Tsubaki angrily “In just one night? That is too much.”
“No,” corrected Shonou “it’s not impossible. Orihime is the powerhouse, we just need to tapped to her tenchyo power and we can cut, tie, paste and paint 200 umbrellas.. It should be finished before dawn.”
“That would drain Orihime-sama’s power very much,” Lily, one of the fairies commented.
“Will you do it?” asked Orihime hopefully.
“Haven’t you heard what they are saying?” Tsubaki huffed in an angry mode. The little black-red fairy flew and punched Orihime’s nose. “She’s saying that you may lose a lot of your celestial power if you worked that hard and that fast.”
“Itai,” Orihime pouted, rubbing her nose where she was punched.
“And when that happens, you cannot defend yourself effectively,” said Tsubaki looking smugly as he floated in front of her. The black male fairy knew that his mistress was too sweet and would never hurt someone smaller than her, or her own fairy, for that matter.
“But Kurosaki really need the money!!!” Orihime protested, feeling desperate for Ichigo. “He need money for seed money, land tax and—Ara!!” Tsubaki kicked her head again hard.
“Think for yourself first, woman!” Tsubaki yelled at her. “You’ll never be a help anymore if you push yourself to the limit.”
“Tsubaki,” said Shonou disapprovingly. She wished the lone ranger fairy would learn some lessons of respect for her mistress. But he was right. The Princess needed to practice self-restraint if she wanted to help anyone. The blonde fairy tried another strategy. “Orihime-sama, have you heard of ‘economy principle of ‘supply and demand’?”
Orihime scrunched her forehead and eyebrows as she tried to absorbed what Shonou said. She shook her head. “Is it something to do with money and food?” she asked, her eyes blinked innocently. Her fairies sweatdropped when the orange-haired goddess started talking hungrily about weird heaven food combinations and unreasonably high prices.
"Mattaku,” Tsubaki muttered, rolling his eyes again.
Double post.......but this is my 100th post!!!! So I post the continuation.......
While consoling you, I found that even your tear-streaked face is beautiful
Though imprudent, that made me anxious and eager
As we shrink our distances as friends
You became a fragile object that's dear to me
To be aiming at unbroken dreams is to struggle with yourself
To the point that you can take pride
In those abrasions that build up everyday
Even though I can't soar in the skies
I can give you wings -
Words that take away your solitude
Saying that you aren't alone

The Bleach Eternal Love (Story)
“Neh, Tatsuki,” said Ichigo as they walked halfway back to Tatsuki’s house. “What do you think of Inoue?”
“Orihime?” asked Tatsuki, puzzled at a sudden question. “Why?”
“I’m not sure. I feel she’s …she’s a little strange,” confessed Ichigo. “Too weird.”
“Strange?”
“Yeah,” the orange-haired boy nodded, jamming his fists into his pockets. “She’s too cheerful and smiles a lot. Even when she falls on her face to the ground, she just probably laughs it out before getting up.”
“Yeah, that girl is too clumsy and silly,” agreed Tatsuki, smiling fondly as she thought about the orange-haired girl.
“She likes to talk a lot too.”
“She tends to do that, blabbering the silliest stuffs you can imagine,” Tatsuki nodded disapprovingly.
Ichigo did not mind when she did that. Listening her talking about imaginary stuffs like gods and heaven made him smiled and forget his troubles and pains. Like how his mother used to tell him stories to cheer him up. “She also talks to animals,” Ichigo added musingly.
“What??” the black-haired girl looked disbelievingly at her orange-haired friend. “She talks to them too? I thought she only talks to her flower plants.”
“Yeah, I was surprised when she told me my cow wants to be called Kai and not Kon,” said Ichigo smiling sheepishly, as he remembered the time he found Orihime and his cow by the well. The brown, brute seemed to enjoy nuzzling his nose against Orihime’s fronts much to the owner’s chagrin. But she was too kind that she stopped Ichigo from giving Kon a well deserved whipping.
“Kon?? Your cow?? The one and only perverted cow in this land?” asked Tatsuki, disgusted that Ichigo still kept that animal.
Ichigo nodded. “But I feel like I had met her before. She’s so familiar yet so distant,” he sighed, looking up to the starry sky. The Vega night star captured his attention with it’s brightness. “Her face….she reminds me of someone I can’t remmeber,” he said thoughtfully.
“Your mother?” Tatsuki suggested. She too had long blond orange hair and was gentle, kind and sweet. Ichigo was very fond of her.
“Maybe,” Ichigo shrugged his shoulders. Perhaps that was the reason why he felt drawn and wanted to protect Inoue. Like his own mother, Inoue was too gentle and unselfish for her own good. She would be likely to be bullied and hurt by others who would take advantange of her. Ichigo did not like that; seeing weak and fragile souls being pushed and oppressed by the stronger ones.
“Orihime?”
Pulled from his thoughts, Ichigo turned and looked where Tatsuki pointed her finger to. With only the moonlight as a source, he could see an outline of a slim long-haired girl, moving alone in the midst of many umbrellas. Her steps were light and graceful as she danced in the light-breeze night, humming a tune and around the paper umbrellas on the ground.
“Kirei, nah,” said Tatsuki, impressed by too many shimmering beautiful umbrellas on the ground. “Orihime!!”
The said girl turned and smiled when she saw her two friends standing watching her. “Tatsuki-chan, Kurosaki-kun,” she waved her hand at them. Suddenly she slipped on the ground and fell. Ichigo who had his eyes fixed on Orihime for a while sweatdropped.
“Uneven ground, hahahaha,” she laughed rubbing her head, feeling embarassed.
“You made all these?” Tatsuki asked, amazed by the way the paper umbrellas were crafted. It was different from the normal paper umbrellas general villagers used. The cotton paper umbrella coverings were transparent with pretty floral, birds and legendary myths images on them while the tops of the umbrella and the wooden shafts were carved a little to make it look elegant and high quality. An evil smirk formed in her face as she tested the umbrella further. These umbrellas should bring in a great deal of money. Ladies, especially high-class ones and courtesans who love to show off their clothes and accessories would want to buy this.
“Tatsuki-chan,” began Orihime who didn’t like the look upon her black-haired friend. “These are for Kurosaki-kun to sell, not for you.”
“Man,” pouted Tatsuki.
“Inoue,” said Ichigo slowly. “Did you make all of this?” he asked her, looking at her, expecting a straight answer.
“Well,” said Orihime, unsured, how to answer him. She knew, he would not believe her if she told him that she made all these umbrellas using her magic celestial powers. And even if he believed, it would be difficult for him to just accept her help because of his pride. She then smiled. “One old man appeared in front of me….I think he is a god..he appeared so suddenly…he told me, he liked me very much and wants to sell me pretty, pretty umbrella for pretty, pretty girl like me. So I asked him how much…and he said, for every smile and kiss I give him on his cheek, plus one shilling coin, he’ll give me one umbrella,” she said, smilling like a fool as she put up her forefinger up. They both stared at her for a moment, while she continued counting the umbrellas, unbothered about their disbelieving and questioning expression.
Tatsuki scratched her hair as she let out a sigh. “I suppose Inoue is telling the truth, No humans can make that kind of umbrellas, except the gods.”
His eyes were fixed on her. He knew that she was lying to him, hiding something from him but decided not to press it further. As long as she was not in any trouble, he did not mind it all. He started to frown again. Selling smiles and kissess, was it not suppose to be the task of a lady prostitute?
“So?” Inoue smiled brightly as she swung around to face. “Forty umbrellas. That means forty kissess, forty smiles and forty shillings.”
“Are you sure this old man is harmless?” asked Ichigo, feeling little uneasy.
“Hey, Orihime. Do you know where I can meet that man?” asked Tatsuki excitedly. “I sure don’t mind giving ‘smiles and kisses’ to him as long as I get cheap but very high quality umbrellas,”
Ichigo sweatdropped while Inoue laughed uneasily. “He appeared to me, Tatsuki-chan. From thin air.”
Tatsuki muttered, folding her hands poutingly. “I don’t understand why you are so special for him to appear in front of you.”
“Kurosaki-kun?”
He saw the orange-haired girl looking at him intently. “We’ll sell them, won’t we?” she asked hopefully.
“Inoue,” Ichigo hesitated to answer her. He did not want to be indebt with her, taking her sympathy.
“Of course, he would!” Tatsuki interrupted, putting an arm each on on Orihime and Ichigo drawing them closer. “It would be a waste if he doesn’t. A lot of money and self-sacrifice in these umbrellas, isn’t it Orihime?? We should get profits from this. High profits.”
“Tatsuki,” Ichigo scowled.
“Idiot,” Tatsuki hissed and smacked him. “Don’t you see this is a good money opportunity for you? One umbrella could earn at least a half day salary. You can repay my debts and still have enough for yourself!”
Ichigo protested, “I can’t do this. I can’t use her.”
“Kurosaki-kun,” the orange-haired girl interrupted. “It’s okay, I don’t mind. I want this,” she insisted; refusing to look straight into Ichigo’s face. “Maybe, if you don’t mind, I would loan you with charged interest,” she said timidly
“Yeah,” Tatsuki smirked. “Two hundred percent interest.”
Inoue felt horrible, “Not that high, Tatsuki-chan.”
“Okay.”
“Kurosaki-kun?” Inoue looked and saw his face smiled with confident and determination.
“I’m going to accept your help and pay it double when I get my money, Inoue,” said Ichigo, looking directly into her hazel eyes. “Thanks.”
“You’re welcome,” she said softly before closing her eyes. All the work had made her tired.
“Inoue!” Someone caught her as she slipped into darkness.
Ehhh, I wanted to write Ururu arc first before getting Ichigo owns Zangetsu. The idea that Ururu is sick terribly and Orihime helps her mother to save Ururu (though Orihime can't really heal her for a practical reasons appeal me).
That is not how I imagine Ichigo getting Zangetsu....getting it from a especially where they find it in a lost cave and Orihime knows about the sword. She practically led a sheltered life in Mount Taka, away from the human worlds.
But it's a nice portion you write....
edit: Insert:: Orihime meets Ururu for the first time. Short, but I think I want to put Ururu later on....with Orihime helping Ururu. A little tiny Ichi/Ori at the end.
The Bleach Eternal Love (Story)
They seemed to squat on the ground forever. Inoue Orihime was a patient girl. She decided to quietly imitate the small blue-haired girl as the girl crouched on the ground, her arms around her knees. She saw her like this when a group of kids started to taunt and throw stones at her. It seemed awkward for the two to stay like this forever by the roadside.
Her black-haired friend shook her head when she found them in the same position again after an hour. “Orihime, it’s time to go home,” she said.
“Tatsuki-chan!”
“Ururu, you should go back home too,” said Tatsuki, to the other girl. “It’s not safe here at night, you know.”
“Ururu-chan, kah?” asked the bright orange-haired girl. “My name is Orihime. Nice to meet you,” she offered her hand to the smaller girl.
Tatsuki sweatdropped. After all this time of squating on the road together for a few hours, she would have thought that Orihime and Ururu would talk and get to know each other.
The two pony-tailed girl got up herself without any help. She then turned and walked back to her home, clutching her stomach as if she was in pain. Orihime tried to reach out to her but was stopped by Tatsuki. “Arigatou,” Ururu mumbled softly for Orihime to hear.
They silently watched her until she disappeared in sight. “Neh, Tatsuki-chan,” begin Orihime, looking at her friend. “What is Ururu-chan?” she asked softly.
Tatsuki looked surprised that Orihime was very well perceptive of the little girl. Not many outsiders knew about her, the village’s darkest secret pride and shame. “She is supposed to be a weapon, Orihime. The apocalypse weapon.”
“Supposed to be a weapon? Does that mean she was a failed experiment?” Orihime looked puzzled.
Tatsuki shrugged her shoulders, “I’m not really sure. Only Mayuri knows about that.” She did not like the notorious village’s top researcher who was Ururu’s father. The eccentric man had performed many illegal experiment on his daughter with the permission from the central government. Sometimes Tatsuki, like Ichigo, hated the army and the government but not for a personal reason. The high officials were too paranoid and fearful against the future. But who was she to comment about them. “He injected her, Ururu with demon blood, To infuse in her the ability to fight demons.”
“I see,” Orihime nodded. She now understood why she felt uneasy with the dark blue-haired girl. There was too much of death stench in her small body.
Yet, she felt herself drawn towards the girl. Something about her being bullied by others because she was different reminded Orihime of herself when she was small and alone. An orange-haired kid came to her rescue.
“Hey,”
“Kurosaki-kun!!” Her eyes lifted up when she saw Ichigo approaching them slowly.
“You are half an hour late,” the black haired girl snapped accusingly at the peasant boy with orange hair.
“Sorry,” he apologized “Got some errands to run.” He stared at the orange-haired girl as she tugged quietly some of his things to carry. “Thanks, Inoue,” he gave her some light bags to carry. “You look very cheerful today,” he complimented her.
“Is there a time when she’s not cheerful?” asked Tatsuki dryly as they start walking together in the lonely night street.
“Hai,” said Inoue, furtively sneaked to his right side, feeling his presence. “Arigatou.”

“Ichigo!!” Hearing his name, Ichigo turned and saw two of his friends, Asano Keigo and Kojima Mizuiro, waving at him.
“Yo,” Ichigo smirked a greeting. “Just released from duty today?”
“Yeah,” Mizuiro nodded “They decided to release us after the strict military training.”
“Really strict,” Keigo replied, proudly showing his right arm muscle in front of Ichigo. “See?” asking Ichigo to press his biceps.
The orange-haired boy stared at his friend’s arm before responding by rolling his own sleeve. The two boys just gaped when Ichigo just flexed his muscles.
“Ichigo, what have you done to yourself?” Mizuiro asked finally after finding his voice. Ichigo's arm muscles were very big and toned, but had scars on them.
Ichigo gave a wry smile, “Like you. Been training in the field, under the hot sun”
Suddenly he felt a big hand upon his shoulder, squeezing him. “Yo, Ichigo,” said the soft gentle male voice from behind.
Ichigo turned and smirked when he saw the giant Sado Yasutora standing behind him. “Your grip is very strong; I can’t break it. Been training?”
“Yes,” he said, replying in the usual monosyllabic.
“Look, it’s Kenpachi-taichou,” shouted Keigo suddenly, stooping behind Chad and Ichigo. A group of soldiers were walking along the road, towards them. One of them was a tall spiky black haired guy with a black patch on one eye. He had a small pink-haired little girl on his back, riding and playing with his hair. Ichigo recognized him to be Kenpachi, rumored to be the most fierce and fearless soldier in their vicinity. He didn't know the other two, one of them was bald while the other looked very feminine. As they walked passed, the bald soldier accidentally bumped into him. “Can’t you move aside, civilian?” he snorted at Ichigo.
Clenching his fists, Ichigo said nothing until he rubbed his shoulder. “I'm sorry,” he gritted through his teeth. The bald man snorted, looking away as if the orange-haired boy was nothing important to him. “And Keigo,” said the bald soldier, smirking before he left to rejoin his comrades “I didn’t know you wiped other low ranked people’s shoes.”
Ichigo was furious. “That egg-headed a**hole. Who is that guy?” he asked, when the soldiers walked away.
“Ikkaku. Madarame Ikkaku, the one with the bald head." Mizuiro replied. "Captain Kenpachi’s right-hand man who likes to bully Keigo for no reason.”
“He always beats me with his d**n wooden sword,” grumbled Keigo, rubbing his shoulders still sore from the beatings.
“I hate them,” Ichigo growled at the soldiers. He turned and looked at his friends who were enlisted to join the army. “If you are any at all like them, I wouldn’t consider you as my friends,” he said to them.
****************
“The pork ramen is so delicious, the tofu soup…indescribable,” said Keigo, looking so happy with tears coming down from his eyes. “Did you cook all of this, Inoue-san?”
“Arigatou,” said the girl, bowing politely to the customers who just praised the food. She blushed when she caught Ichigo starring at her. Her finger absently tucked in a strand of orange hair behind her ear. “Demo,” she said, bowing down again, “It wasn’t me who cooked these dishes. Tatsuki cooked it,” she explained, “If I cook, you would probably be food poisoned-“
“I don’t mind,“ said Keigo hurriedly, “It’s okay to die poisoned by a beautiful woman than to die fighting hollows and youkais—“
“Don’t mind them, Orihime,” the noodle-woman chirped as she appeared suddenly in front of them. “You have to pay for what you eat,” she reprimanded the guys, “You should earn enough money in the army.”
“But Tatsuki-chan,” protested Keigo “We haven’t got this month’s pay yet. Can’t you treat this… as a free reunion meal—“
Tatsuki shook her head. “If I am going to feed you for free, I would lose a lot of money and customers. Pay up,” she said, putting her hand out.
“Five shillings, please.”
“Ano..”
“What is it, Orihime??” the black-haired girl asked.
“No more leftovers. We should start cooking. Should I buy more potatoes?” she asked, unaware of the conversation between Tatsuki and the guys.
“Tatsuki-chan,” said Keigo in a surprisingly low voice. It was clear to Ichigo that his friend was not happy. “You gave us leftovers and you still charge us the full price?”
********************
“Kurosaki-kun?” asked Inoue Orihime when she saw the orange-haired boy snickering. “Why do you look so happy?” she asked him.
“Sorry,” Ichigo replied, sheepishly “I can’t help it. Tatsuki’s face is so funny when you uncovered her plot to swindle money from Keigo, Mizuiro and Chad.”
“Oh,” she nodded, with a smile. “Glad to see you happy." she said cheerfully. “I never like seeing you sad.”
“Inoue,” Ichigo was touched by her words. “Arigatou. For being a very good friend.” He paused, his look had a worried tone to it. “Still, you shouldn’t stop working with Tatsuki. Are you sure with this?”
“It’s okay,” she answered softly as they walked together along the road. “I was never good with being a waitress,” she explained cheerfully, "I may not work with Tatsuki, but I am still living with her as her tenant.”
“Housemate,” Ichigo corrected her gently.
“Oh yeah,” said Orihime, sheepishly. The girl then stopped suddenly, seeing the temple. “Kurosaki-kun, I like to pray in the temple. Do you...” she hesitated, “want to come with me?”
“No,” The orange-haired boy shook his head. “I don’t really believe in gods. Nor liked them. It’s okay, Inoue, I'll wait for you here.”
She looked a bit disappointed but also relieved. “Okay, thank you..”
“Hello, Kurosaki-kun,” said a guy nearby after Inoue was out of sight.. “I thought you once believed in gods, and always went to the temple to pray.”
Ichigo snorted. “That’s when my mother was still alive, Sandal-hat man. After she died… I still blame it on the gods and those d**n soldiers for her death,” he said, closing his eyes as he willed his anger to go away.
“Still, you were willing to take my word for it when I say there might be a rain dragon lord or god in Mount Taka. How was the trip there?” the sandal-hat man laughed, fanning himself with a paper-fan. “Very successful, I should say. It has been raining for the past few days. I hear they gave credit to this soldier… what was his name, hhmm... Abarai Renji.” Ichigo looked away and refused to give an answer to this. The blonde man sighed, “You should start believing in demons, spirits and gods. Or you might find yourself losing a lot more. She’s such a pretty nice girl isn’t she, your girlfriend?”
“Oh,” Ichigo looked startled, but gazed at where Urahara Kisuke was pointing to with his paper fan. A procession consisting of a group of girls and official soldiers walked following behind another black-haired girl, dressed demuredly in a red and white priestess kimono. Her dark black eyes widened in recognition when she saw a young man with orange-hair standing near the tree beside the greenish-black suited blonde fortune-teller.
I just think the poiem is very appropriate, with Ichigo meeting up with his old friends who joined the army for battles and the fact the time is at the new year celebration (thus, tomorrow)......Or do you feel another poem is much more appropriate??

“Yeah it rained the whole night,” Isshin commented as he clapped behind Ichigo’s back;
“Looks like the land is no longer dry and barren.”

Saying that you aren't alone
.....Wings of Words....GSD
“Arigatou.”

When you realized that a life lived for someone else
carries no regrets, you grew stronger.
.........So we can smile tomorrow.....Gatekeepers.
