I was just randomaly stroling around and look what I found:
Bleach Ova preview & other news
Reported by: Itachi on Saturday, February 18, 2006 At 12:55 PM
Bleach does not have "fillers" like many people say; the story is just altered to let the story drag on some more. Kubo obviously saw what happened to Naruto and decided to do something different. After Rukia we will be seeing other four (4) Death Gods in school so look forward to it and enjoy your weekend!

they still have to alter it a little bit because in the manga

they showed up together and it was supposed to be the first time ichigo has seen them in a while

The only manga I know that went its own seperate way in the actually T.V. show was Full Metal Alchemist, and I love FMA. Btw. I'm glad they are incorporating the 3 mod souls into play, maybe those 3 mod souls are gonna be used for Hitsugaya & company.

But that's a nonsensical statement, you see if they mess with the Manga storyline then they're diverging from the vision of the guy who created everything you've liked that's been animated thusfar, every character is from the Manga, the plot is from the Manga. We've already seen the pitiful things anime writers come up with when told to invent a plot (...Naruto fillers...) I don't want to see it come to that. I'm fine with the adding in of fillers, but I don't like when story elements and the setting get messed with.

I loved FMA too but I thought the ending was pretty weak even at the time, and I'd never even looked at a Manga then.

The one thing I really am afraid of is that the Anime will go on an entirely different road, like Samurai Deeper Kyo. If those fillers are really just a bit of the story altered, then it's fine... or at least better than changing the story line entirely.

Personally I havent read the manga. But ive heard about it and simply from that i think it would be a shame not to carry it over to the anime. Im not a big fan of the "fillers" so far and i dont think thats going to change, so ill be very disappointed if they continue on this road and disregard the manga.

If those fillers are really just a bit of the story altered, then it's fine... or at least better than changing the story line entirely. That would be the death of Bleach. I think Bleach is too popular and too many anime-watchers reads the manga aswell to go on a completely different story.

No offense, but everyone is whining about the "filler" eps, and that "most" bleach fans read the manga too and are dissapointed in the change of story from the manga.

Well, listen up. Move your arse to Japan, and watch bleach, raw, on TV to help pay for the show. THEN maybe you'll have a right to complain. Remember, ads are what keep the show on the air, and we who watch it outside of Japan get a version with all the ads cut out, and subtitled, which usually sell for good money IF the company goes through the effort to make it. Sit back, relax, and watch the show. If you're uphappy with the story's direction, STOP WATCHING!!!

I think we're entitled to complain a little because we watch it every week and it's good commercial for Bleach even though not everybody live in Japan. Bleach wouldn't be as near as popular if it wasn't for the subtitled releases.

That's not true. The show is obviously pretty popular in Japan because they moved it to a better timeslot. We have no right to complain about the show since we are doing NOTHING to contribute to income of said network which airs Bleach, and as a result, no more money (than what is based on japanese ratings) goes to pierrot which produces Bleach.

and also...they dont know exactly how many people watch it here also....so us watching it, doesnt affect them in any ways...Is that really true? I think it affects them. It's ,as I said, commercial for Bleach and in that way the make money off of other stuff but I don't know, I'm just speculating.

Fansubbing is an old tradition that allows for an informal testing of the American market, so it can later affect certain decisions such as if the anime will indeed be brought over.

And as far as the filler, I've a pretty good idea how they're going to integrate it. They've already established in the anime arc that Aizen cannot do anything with the Hougyoku for a year. This is a few days after they've returned from the Soul Society. The anime will focus on these events, and once it ends, I'm willing to wager that the anime will cut off and pick up again after that prescribed year, when Ichigo really has not seen the other Soul Society people for quite some time. It'll be the same basic reaction.

But that would twist the story completely. People will start asking stuff like "Why is he reacting like this if tehy left just a sohrt time ago?".
@azurarutlan - yeah, look, I know we shouldn't complain, because watching funsubs is a bit like pirating... bhu heck, we can grumble a bit, right? After all, it doesn't effect them, right?

screw the manga!!! I'm an anime fan!!!

The manga is better. And don't randomly just go around and say "SCREW THE MANGA! THE ANIME IS SO MUCH BETTER!" and I think you will say "YOU DONT HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY THE MANGA IS BETTER EITHER!" or "YOU DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO JUDGE ME!"

Just a comment - Anime is based on the Manga. No Manga=no Anime. So... don't just disregard the Manga. At least give it the proper respect, 'k? ^^
